Guys, the estimated ship dates are all bull. Most of you will have it on release day. All the October / November dates will probably get them next week. All sprint gets are estimates, which are way off. They don't have the stock and apple doesn't give them information so they just say random dates based on quantity preordered.

This is true for every iPhone release. Look at every carrier's ETA and you'll see a trend. We're all thrown into pools. Once Sprint gets the units, it's first come first serve.
Distribution centers move quick, but the lot of us might not get tracking info until the day before.

I Preordered iPhone 7+ 128gb Jet Black. Ordered within the first 30 mins. Processed email at 4:30 9/9. Same email shows Shipping 9/9 with ETA 10/7.
Order Status shows with back ordered return kit.

I ordered in store so no tracking of course. I was told my phone might be there on Friday.. Is it likely or not?
Ordered matte black plus, 128g.
The store will get some of each but do they match up orders from the phones that come in...or do we have to wait for a specific box with our order attached to it?
Anyone know how it works exactly? I ordered at 10am when they opened.
 
Here's a transcript of what I went through... Of course, the quote of "millions" of Sprint iPhone 7 orders could be taken with a grain of salt, but I guess it's possible...

I have to wonder if Apple might change their minds about announcing launch day sales, as I have a feeling the 7 might eclipse the 6 in launch sales. Not bad for a "ho hum" upgrade, as the pundits love to call it.

I'm having the same issue as a few mentioned about Sprint not having record of the order, but it shows up fine using Safari Technology Preview and Firefox. Come to think of it, I had less problems using STP when ordering than I did with regular Safari. I'd use STP as my primary, but AdBlockPlus still isn't working with it. I ordered mine around 3:30-3:45 Sunday morning, a 7+ 128 matte black and a 7+ 128 Rose Gold, both showing 9/30.

Well that's not true I been with sprint for about 6 years and I was able to do that a few times. Hell I did it when I first joined sprint.

I assure you I am not a liar. I've been with Sprint for 15 years and the 2 times I tried to upgrade one line and then move the phone to a different line, I was told it couldn't be done.

No they do not unless you pay a hefty extra fee. I seriously doubt Sprint's free overnight shipping offer includes Saturday delivery.
 
It literally says this on that page:
If you placed your order in a store, you will not be able to track it here. The store will call you when your order is ready to pick up.

I understand that. Merely commenting on how far I am.

Nah no worries. Store clerk probably told me I was good to switch since my wife had more time and therefore didn't give me a hassle. I didn't even know they had that policy to begin with so no harm no foul.

You can definitely swap the phone to a different line with no issues. I work at Best Buy Mobile and our system even has an option to allow us to take the upgrade from one line on the account and use it for another line on the same account.

You'll be fine to swap phones.

Same here..Did you find out why? No matter which plan I use it states to click the box to return my phone. My phone is paid for and I want to keep it.

Have you paid your bill for this month? If not it most likely include one more payment, at least that's what I was informed and it was correct. I made the payment and was instructed that I don't have to send my phone in. I will let you know if anything changes. I took the rep name down.
 
When I ordered my jet black 256GB iPhone...I used my debit card. Sprint put a hold on the payment. But now the hold is removed and the transaction is complete.

If this preorder was going to take as long as the dates that we were giving...meaning 10/7, the hold that was on my payment wouldve been released sometime this week. And then before sprint shipped the phone, they would've charged my card again for the payment.

But since the payment is now complete, does that mean my Jet Black iPhone...should be shipping this week?
 
Each product ID item has its own status message. That backorder message is for the return kit.

My order still shows 9/30 ship date. I have no insider information on Sprint's logistics, but my guess is that Sprint doesn't have any Plus models in Louisville yet. Barring any unforeseen customs issues in Anchorage, these models will arrive in Louisville sometime early next week, and the 9/30 ship dates will update to 9/16. This is what I keep telling myself anyway, lol.

This is interesting. I didn't receive that email but the shipping dates line up for the 9/30 ship date I received. I'm really disappointed how this preorder process has gone this year. I didn't preorder last year but I did in 2014 and it was much easier. I really hope this isn't true and we get our phones earlier.

It's TRUE!!! Every pre-order since I got my iPhone 5 we've been having these "estimated" dates but mine has ALWAYS showed up on launch day. I order at 4:50am est

Well I work for ups and I can guarantee you we delivery on Saturday. It's mainly next day air, 2nd day air, and Eam's (early am) packages. Next day air is what 14-16 dollars depending on weight and where it's going

My processed email was sent at 2:59 a.m. (it was a 256 GB though) and it says 10/6 in the email. My question is this: Did anybody EVER see a date not 10/6 who ordered the higher capacity Jet Black phones?

I don't believe the 14.95 priority shipping makes a difference for a preorder.

Did you use the Spring system? It wouldn't let me choose expedited shipping when I ordered and when I asked customer service after the fact they said they don't offer it for preorders.
 
Also as long as I've been working at ups, we typically don't get the phones to the local hubs until Thursday. I think last year we got some Wednesday, can't remember that far back. Upper management usually make a big deal about it and we haven't got a any heads up but I'll update you guys if we get any today, but I doubt it

I didn't see this promo. If I remember correctly Sprint was trying to reduce the payments each month and I think that totaled $192. This promo sound like a better deal.

So let me tell you about what I've learned and maybe this helps. I ordered an iPhone 7 plus 256g gold. They sent me an email that morning right after I ordered and it gave me a 9/23 date. Over the weekend when I checked my account and had more money then I expected I noticed Sprint refunded me the money. I assumed it was just the hold and that it would come off until the phone shipped but I called telesales just to be sure. The guy I spoke with went through my order to make sure everything was ok and he said "everything is good I had your phone shipping 9/16". I asked him are you sure? He said yea that's what my system show.

You can and call telesales and have them check your order and see what the shipping date it.

Last year, I received my shipping email the night before around 7 PM CST. The year before, I received my shipping email the day it was delivered. So by this logic, I should receive my shipping email two nights before it's delivered. This is Sprint we're talking about.

Yeah, it's an issue many people are having. I can view my order status on my iPhone or on my work PC, but I get the error message on my personal MBP on Safari.
