Unless I'm wrong (and I very well could be) Sprint assigned dates to devices right out of the gate. Makes me wonder if this is under promise or not. Just odd I can't find anyone with any color 128 7P with an earlier date than 9/30.

Its actually pretty funny that there's so many of us that dealt with Sprints flakey servers for 80 minutes and then finally made similar orders at roughly 1:20AM. Anyway, my guess is that we don't have tracking info because the 7Plus is already stateside

Many of those 7 UPS tracking numbers are straight from China so thats why they got it early. But if a phone is already out here then they won't actually ship until 2 days before. So we should get our info on Wednesday.
 
So by my reading of this thread is seems those of us who ordered the 7+ Jet Black as soon as was humanly possible (4:20 am Eastern on 9/9 for me) may actually have to wait until 10/7 for our phones to ship? But maybe if we are lucky Sprint will deliver earlier and these have been conservative estimates?
 
I suggested this. In terms of the Jet Black iPhone 7, Sprint was already assigning a 10/7 ship date from the moment the pre-orders went up.

Exactly. I just called order support to see if there was a tracking number available and was told no. In not so many words he told me they haven't received devices and that they will be turned around quickly.

I pressed if "by 9/23" meant could ship before or if that was a hard date and he was evasive. I still hold some hope that the early orders will arrive by 9/16. He (as I understood him) said they are overnighted. Thought we needed to pay for overnight shipping, this is my first preorder so I don't know for sure.

What was your original ship by date. This is somewhat encouraging since I placed an order earlier than that.

This sounds promising. I ordered the same phone around 3:30-4am EST.

Hi. Long time lurker, first time caller.

I want to verify that yes- they did push the fact that pre-orders would be shipped overnight, and the overnight charge was free. At least if ordered online. Personally, I think that is the least they could do for making some of us stay up until the burning dot in the sky came up, but at least it was free. Kind of. They charged me for overnight shipping. Then refunded it. While it wouldn't surprise me if they managed to screw that up (it's Sprint. They strive for nothing but the best levels of failure), I just wanted to say that you are correct.

I am waiting to speak with someone now to try and get more information. My Sprint.com/MyOrder tells me nothing really...

That's the way it seems. I managed to order a few minutes early by clicking links over and over and even though I received my confirmation email at 2:59 a.m. it said 10/7 from the beginning. (Jet Black Plus 256GB)

I was given a 9/30 ship date for both of my orders and I have the same message.. On the phone with Sprint now hoping to get some insider information... I am so impatient.

Ups tracking isn't working for me either. Just saw this update on the sprint website. Better than no update I guess. (Ordered my phone 1PM EST on 09/09)

I just checked my order status and I see the same thing other than they are giving me a ship by date of 9/23.

I just called this number and was told that my order will ship NO LATER than 9-16 after Sprint's e-e-mail gave me a date of no later than 9/30. If it ships before I will have it Friday, if not then I will have it Monday.

I got the I7P 128GB Rose Gold! Good luck everyone!

I called and the guy really struggled to speak English. Gave him my order number and I think he said he couldn't find a tracking number. Just told me to wait for the email.

This is a 2:59 a.m. processing email Jet Black Plus in 256GB. My guess is they never had any of those to begin with. Which is kind of lame.

Ordered a 128 GB Jet Black 7 Plus on 9/9 at 7:20 am EST - Online it says that since it was ordered before 8am CT that it should ship by 10/7 - just got out of live chat with Sprint and the rep told me this :

"Agent Tyler XXXX: According to our latest inventory update provided by our manufacturer your device IPHONE 7 PLUS JET BLACK 128GB will ship by 11/11 ."

So I asked him what changed as online it said it would ship by 10/7 and he said :

"I must inform you that our manufacturer , Apple just released a new shipping delivery date for this device and other models"

I hope this isnt true! Sprint live chat hasnt always been the most reliable source of information in the past.. but still doesnt make me feel good about it!

Exactly, but I don't want to believe that Sprint had no Jet Black models available for their customers. For now, I think we just have to wait until this business week concludes, and perhaps if we're lucky, we'll receive it by launch day.
