I talked with someone on Marci's team today and he seems to be trying to help but this is like the fourth person at Sprint who I have asked, "how do I turn in my trade in phone for the free iphone 7 promotion?" and they act like they have never heard of such a thing. They refer to having so many promotions it's hard to find one.

It was all over the national news that the big four carriers were offering free iPhone 7s for the last couple of weeks. Sprint was in the news saying their pre-orders were huge compared to years past so how does customer service act like they haven't heard of this?


I think I saw somewhere it ended on Sept 28th
 
Look at this guys, ordered a Sprint iPhone from BestBuy today and it has shipped the same day, It's also arriving a day earlier than expected.

I suggest anyone who's looking for a 32/256gb 7p to check out BestBuy, a lot of those phones will be available for shipping NOW! Stop putting your frustrations and energy towards Sprint agents who know little more than we do.

You have to enroll your phone into the buy back option and use promo code iPhone. They will send confirmation thru email and at the bottom of the email open up the PDF, it will explain what to do with your phone. I suggest anyone doing this takes as much evidence as possible to protect your self for any bull down the road.
 
Im about to cancel my sprint order and go to best buy. I can have it on Tuesday vs end of October. How would iphone forever work and does the credit/ leasing adjust?

I tried calling BB and Sprint, no one knows.
I believe iPhone Forever can only be done through Sprint stores, but I'd keep asking.

My question is I turned my phones into the store, didn't get anything to ship mine back in. I went to a store and they were able to do it there. I did get the email saying to enter iphone into promo but i dont have the phones anymore for the IMEI. The guy at the store just told me it would take up to two months for my promotion to go into effect. The biggest thing I didn't like was he didn't give me a receipt at all for my trade ins.

I shouldn't have to do anything else right?

Sorry I wasn't aware it was done in the store. I don't know way the sales representative did not provide a receipt.do you have a my sprint account I wonder if they might be any document on your my sprint account. No even a buy back confirmation. Man I don't know it's a unusual transaction. Sorry I can't really help.i would maybe try to have a online chat so that anything that might be mentioned on the chat line will be documented. Again I'm sorry I can't really help.
 
Ok my fellow forum members, this is to confirm that Sprint really doesn't know what they're doing on this scale of a preorder:
Placed my order on 9/10 for a 7+ 128gig MB with a delivery by 9/30. Been in email contact this week with escalations about my order. This morning I received the email about orders being pushed back to 10/4-10/11 so I emailed the lady in escalations today and she said she investigated further and could not get a confirmed ship date. So late this afternoon I emailed her again and asked that my order be cancelled and that my eligibility be reset because I was ordering through BB. She emailed back and said eligibility was reset but she was having a hard time canceling the order and would take care of it on Monday. I asked if it was because my order might ship soon and she said no because it didn't have a serial # attached to the order. So while in the process of ordering a phone through BB online this evening I was about to check out and received a text from Sprint that my order has shipped. Unbelievable

It does say that it takes 2 billing cycles for the credits to kick in. You could wait and if the charges are still there on the third bill then you need to say something.

Can I do this now after the fact to trade in my phone? I send similar screenshots to what you have above. He tried to give me the excuse that this was only for the iPhone 7 32 gb model and that the plus and extended memory devices didn't qualify. I showed him this:

Here are the steps you have to take:

1. go to https://secure.sprintbuyback.com/bbt/
2. select your device
3. once you select the device you will get 3 questions, 1 promo code and you enter phone IMEI
4. In the promo code enter "IPHONE" all caps and it will say your phone is $0.00...that's what you want to see and then it will give you a shipping label for you to send your phone.

make sure your phone is unlocked and find my iPhone is turned off before you try it or it may fail.

It just depends on who you get.as you could see some of these sprint employees don't know what there are talking about. At first one sales rep told me the iPhone plus didn't qualify I had to argue with him. So anyway I hung up and was able to get a sweet lady that was a lot more helpful. Now this was done on the 10th I don't know if it still applies. I took a bunch of screenshots and recorded the conversation just in case they try some bull later on.
 
Alright guys! I finally got the shipped email. So an update for everyone that ordered in store. I ordered in store 9/9 around 2:50 pm, i ordered 7+ Jet black 128G. Got the worth the wait email on Tuesday night, and today about 15 minutes ago got the shipped email. It was next day air so i should receive it tomorrow! Lets see if it makes it here on time with no problems.

I finally got a call from Marci's team, I contacted her from Twitter the guy wanted to try and push the ship date up but he said he can't, because the device I have really is ordered by many and they don't have any to send out, but to accommodate me he is putting a credit in my account so that I will not have to pay this months bill. He said if the phone isn't in by the 10/4-10/11 then call him back and he'll take care of it. I spoke nicely to him and he was kind so I'm not as angry anymore because I don't have to pay my bill until November now because he said I shouldn't have to pay it and I still don't even have the phone.

I think the free iPhone promotion might end today,I was actually thinking of canceling my order one day and ordering with another provider and had asked how long the promotion was going to last.

Ordered the same phone on 9/9 at 7AM EST. Worth the wait LAST Friday. Still no shipping. Sigh.

they may be having problems...I did mine about 10 days ago and it worked.
