"Technology illiterate" is a very strong term. I'm an IT and graphic designer but still opt-In on the 32gb simply because I don't use my device for a lot of photos and videos. The storage capacity of an iPhone has nothing to do with being "technology illiterate".
[doublepost=1477610903][/doublepost]I got my 32 GB MB iPhone 7 plus on 3rd of October and my bill is $-3.67 which is due on the 31st LOL! Marci's team really hooked me up.As soon as my phone was activated I received a call from "Jeff" telling me congratulations and enjoy.
I didn't say everyone who gets a 32GB model is technology illiterate. But I'm pretty sure most of the 32GB crowd either don't know what a GB is or what the difference means between 32/128/256GB or storage, they just wanted an iPhone and oh the 32GB model was the cheapest, or yes, 32GB is enough for them. Just like when people used to buy the 16GB models not knowing what 16GB storage was, it was just the cheapest method to get an iPhone and 6 months down the road if that, they were complaining that they had no storages left on their device.

Hopefully ours is removed.
As long as you opted to return your current device as part of your upgrade agreement and didn't choose the option to pay off your remaining lease balance/buy out option.

I got the 32GB model mostly because that is all I can afford as a teenager having to pay for my plan along with my lease.

I just picked up a 128gb JB 7+ at Target. I just walked in yesterday and asked, they checked and had one that was pre-ordered but never picked up. I'm excited to have found one!

My question is about about unlocking and activating. I've read that if you unlock with a Verizon SIM card the phone will be unlocked for all carriers. This is due to the fact that the version that is sold at Target falls under the US Reseller Flex Policy and is compatible with all networks. Whichever carrier the phone is first activated on, the phone will be held the that carrier's lock policy. Since Verizon's policy does not lock phones, I've read that people recommend first unlocking the phone via WiFi and then proceeding to activate it on the Sprint network. Anyone have any experience doing this?

If I decide to activate on the Sprint network right away, do I just pull my SIM from the 6 and put it into the 7? Has anyone had any prior experience with Sprint unlocking their phones? I've read in a couple of places where Sprint has done this for them after a period of the phone staying on the Sprint network (50 days).

I ordered my phone on Oct 3rd and was told my phone won't ship until 11/9 thru 11/23. I ordered the iphone 7 plus black 128gb..My FIRST Iphone ever. .goodbye android ....Man I hope I made the right decision

This is also my first IPhone ever. I've been an android man since my first smartphone back in 2009. I watched probably 30 review videos and read dozens of articles about the IPhone 7 Plus. I don't have any complaints about the headphone jack, the identical form factor to the previous iPhones, or that anything about the hardware really because this is my first one. It's an entire new experience for me so I can't relate to the frustration of previous IPhone users.

Now here's where I do get a little frustrated. I will tell you this now and trust me when I do: The IPhone is overall the best phone, but it is not the most CAPABLE phone... out of the box that is. If you ever loved going to any site and downloading music, torrents, files, or ANYTHING as we do on Andriod, forget about doing that on the IPhone. The software, IOS, won't allow it. You also can't simply access your files like you can do on an Andriod and move them around freely.

Music is terrible. You can't get music on your phone unless you purchase it directly from ITunes or download it to your PC first then sync it with iTunes then sync your iTunes with your IPhone. That's extremely frustrating and wastes a lot of time especially since I might see a song and want it instantly but can't get it until I get around to my laptop when with Andriod, I did it virtually every day just from my phone in about 1 minute.

As far as the user interface goes, there's no customizing it beyond your standard wallpaper. On Andriod, no device was or looked the same because of so many different launchers, UIs, widgets, tweaks, and custom ROMs people had.

Google apps are a pain too. They work seamlessly with Andriod as most are inter grated into the OS but they don't work as well on IPhone.

Now I've been reading up on many articles and videos and I believe all of this could be possible to achieve on IOS when a jailbreak A.K.A root method is achieved for IOS 10.1. With Andriod you didn't even need root for any of these things.

So yeah that's pretty much what you can expect. I don't regret making the change (yet at least) because I've only had my 7+ for 5 days now but as I learn more about IOS and how to tweak things and try to make it into my own phone I think I'll like it very much.

You are correct. Whatever Sim card the device is activated under, is the carrier it's locked to. If you use a Verizon sim to activated it, it will be factory unlocked. If you want to activated it on sprint, just go to Sprints activation page and you can choose the option to activated it with it's included sim or swap the sim out with the current one you use.

Been waiting for too long that I don't even feel excited about getting the phone anymore, ha. Received four emails from Sprint about my order is getting here soon. Guess it will be within the next two weeks.

iPhone 7 Plus JB 128 GB - Store Order 9/12 2 pm.

Ordered a 32gb 7+ black, and a 128gb 7+ black on 10/2. The 32 wasn't supposed to ship until mid November but it arrived at the store on the 27th. I just got an e-mail today that I'll be getting a free screen protector (that can be picked up now) for my 128gb phone. I appreciate the effort on Sprint's part but I was a little sad to see the e-mail wasn't a shipping notification for the 128gb :(

I'm starting to think I'll have my new MacBook Pro before my phone.

The 7 Plus JB 128GB is the most popular model this year. It's why it has the longest wait. My biggest advice is keep looking at places like Best Buy, Target, Apple Stores, Your actual carrier store and see if you can find what you want sooner. All these places have their own inventory stock, so depending on the retailers demand, some may have more than others.

If you go this route, will you have to pay the full price up front?

I thought I read the matte black was the most popular this year? And that there wasn't a huge supply of jet blacks so far?

I found out that a Target has a Matte Black in stock but now Sprint is giving me the runaround trying to cancel my pre-order. This is insane!

Another (5th) email received today from Sprint offering car charger for the phone as "something extra for your wait". Grrr, I feel like they're just playing with my feeling, lol. Well, keep on waiting... iP7+ 128 GB 9/12 2 pm. store order.

No. Those places have access to perform upgrades with the carrier leasing programs. I've heard Apple stores won't do the iPhone Forever place or the 17 month lease unless you get someone who will use the iPads which have access to this specific leasing plan.

Jet Black models Apple said have proven to be more difficult to produce and have a higher rate at not passing inspection due to higher error margin. Most places, one they get any 7 Plus in JB, are gone the same day or day to follow. They are almost still absent in all carrier stores including Apple stores. Some people have been lucky to find some lingering around at retailers who customers never picked up from Pre-orders.

Sprint can indeed cancel your order and very simple and quickly also. They just don't want to loose a sale. Demand to speak to upper management. I've been proven several times that pre-orders can be canceled. I had it done with my 7 Plus 128GB pre-order that I ordered on 9/10 and I canceled it a month later to get the 256GB JB model they had in stock ready to ship. From the time they canceled my order, I had my new 256 model ordered within 2-3 hours.

Do you have a valid tracking number for your store order? Some reported not having one and not able to get one while others did. If you don't have a tracking number, Call the store once or twice a week and check because it's been known most stores won't call you when it comes in. They just wait for you to do the checking.Someone reported their phone sat at a Sprint store for weeks before Sprint finally called and asked why they hadn't come pick it up when Sprint never called to inform they that it had come in.

Made a phone call to the store today. I am told that the phone is not there yet. They will call when it has arrived. Guess I will just have to wait until it is 11/11 - 11/18 since Sprint website said it would be delivered around that time. :(

Agreed! I owned the first gen iPhone and besides performance I don't see that much has changed. Have used Android for at least the last 8 years but switched back because of stability and Google Pixel. I waited to upgrade to the Pixel just to see it become a Verizon exclusive (too many family members sharing my plan to even use Fi). Google should have learned from Apples AT&T Edge network launch to see that this was a mistake but I digress..........

There wasn't much that I couldn't do or access on my Android phone. I was instantly able to download and access music, movies, whatever I wanted. I could easily move files and photos without the need for anything more than a file explorer app. Didn't even need root. No need for a program like iTunes to regulate my phone, apps, and photos for me. Don't even get me started about customization because every iPhone is just the same, same, same bland home screen that is running the almost identical hardware (depending on model year) and the identical software. The upside of this is the phone is extremely easy to develop for because of the lack of individuality. Most of Apples new innovations are old in the Android world and have been out for years. They are WAY behind.

NO ONE innovates anymore they just litigate. It's a race to buy patents and then sue the competition for infringement. This does nothing for the end user. Again I digress..............

Now to spank Android. I realize that the software is free and that's what makes it appealing to phone companies but it is time to reel it back in and provide users with pure Android. Too much crapware is polluting what could be a great phone. I did love the custom roms but they are no longer anything but "cut and paste" garbage built around Cyanogen's firmware (Cyanogen does little more than remove the Google from the copyright in the code and call it their own). Cyanogen breaks a feature and every custom rom suffers because all the non developing hacks are using the base. This will leave you with a phone that now freezes and reboots more than the stock Android. Question for all the other Android users, "how long can you keep your phone on before you have to reboot?". Another question, "after all these years, why is the firmware still so slow?" They're packing it with super processors and more memory that my laptop but it still drags and freezes.

Enough! I am looking forward to my new iPhone 7+ and will embrace it. I will of course curse it in the beginning for not allowing me to do what I want but I am still going to enjoy it. I have no fear and every confidence that I will be able to make it my own!

Still waiting. I'm starting to think no matter how many e-mails Sprint has sent me claiming to have saved me a spot....they failed miserably and I'm never getting it :(

Ordered 7+ MB 128gb on 10/2.

It's actually Apples fault. Not that it makes the situation any better but Apple has yet to ship more IPhones to any of the major 4 carriers. According to many credible tech sites, the JetBlack version is in low supply and back ordered simply because that glossy casing is extremely difficult to manufacture. It has to go through a lengthy and precise nine step process. Here's an excerpt from the article:

"there is a "low casing production rate of 60 to 70 percent," which means that Apple's manufacturers are making a high amount of cases that don't meet the standards. As a result, there is a low supply of the quality devices being made, leading to the shortage."

Basically they have the hardware (internals of the phone) but not enough properly made quality cases to put over them because they're difficult to make.

There have been people with other carriers who have received the same phone I ordered, and they ordered after me.

Well being that their estimated delivery date is 11/9-11/23 for orders placed on 10/2, they haven't broken their delivery promise yet for the current delivery date.

Still waiting for my order, and sprint has been no help to me at all with providing any sort of tracking or anything at all. Ordered 128gb JB 9/16 9 am est. and every time I call to get an update I need my order number ( lost my receipt ) so " they're unable to track it ". I have received 2 you're getting closer emails and recently last week an email for a free car charger for the wait. The wait is horrible and I hate looking through the T-Mobile, Verizon threads and see people with the same phone but ordered after me.
