Here's why people are venting. When I ordered it said NOWHERE that I wouldn't be receiving the phone at launch. I would've gone with other, better options had I known I wouldn't, and now it's too late to do that. So it's not like there's no deception on Sprint's behalf.

When I ordered at 4am PST on Friday there was a little box to click before I ordered that has est ship dates. I picked my second choice as it had a faster ship date.

I video capped my screen when I was ordering because of a nightmare situation with Verizon in the past related to my contract, and I can confirm what I said. Nothing to suggest I wasn't getting the phone at launch.

Of course I ordered a few minutes before it technically went on sale, so maybe that's to blame.

Sprint order status just updated for me! It says- your order is on the way. Please check with the carrier for status!

I'm just waiting for UPS to update now!

Same. I do believe it though. She couldn't explain why the status update says basically that no matter when you ordered you'd receive it nearly the same time. She was unapologetic and was perhaps the final straw for this whole ordeal. T-mobile offers nearly the same price for what we receive with better coverage & speed. It's no so much receiving the device as Sprint itself dropping the ball with us once again.
Exactly, I'm not mad about not getting the device. I'm more frustrated with the way Sprint has handled this whole pre-order. It's been so hectic and I don't see as to why others are getting their 7+ 256 gig and we have to wait another 1-2 weeks

This. I didn't know the phone wouldn't arrive after launch until I'd placed my order - and talked to a CSR for over an hour about the deal they were offering. I'm going to be out of the country on my projected ship date, but not on launch day. I've been assured I can change my delivery address if necessary, but at this point....*shrugs*.

And yes, I see all y'all saying it's just poor logistics on Sprint's part, that most phone arrive around launch, and yes, I'm in the first group of 7+ Rose Gold 32G phones with a ship date of 9/23 so PROBABLY my husband will be home to take delivery, but in an era when you can track a car from the moment you order it, along the assembly line onto the delivery truck and right to the dealer, this is simply ridiculous. I'd have better luck sacrificing a goat and reading the entrails for a delivery date. If I had a goat.

Ok so I posted a day or 2 ago so I'll give an update. The charge dropped off Saturday so I called the sales issues line and talked to a guy who pulled up my order. I got a 7p 256gb gold. I was told that it would be before 9/23 in the email sprint sent me but the sales guy I talked to, who was outsourced, told me the order was good and it's scheduled for the 16th. That's straight from my order. So if they said it's the 9/23 date chances are you will get it friday and they will start sending out emails tomorrow because it doesn't take more then a day to get from ups hubs. So don't fret it's not that bad

I know. And Im with you because i feel that way every year. But, shouldn't we wait until we get "no delivery" before we react? So far then I've gotten day1 deliveries despite the site giving crazy 3wk late estimates.

I mean, I just talked to a vice president of the company who said he talked to the warehouse and that even the VERY FIRST person to order the Plus at 256GB in Jet Black will be waiting till October.

I'm taking his word for it.

This seems silly. While I don't always trust what these reps say, he's saying that they aren't getting any shipments of higher memory tiers before the 16th? How does that make any sense?
What's even more silly is he says " The iPhones are being re-programmed for the sprint post paid network so they work out of the box"

LOL what is this mess? Seriously?

With the high demand for iPhone 7/7 Plus, the device delivery timeframes will vary, especially as those models in higher demand go on back-order.
This is the case for ALL carriers, and is not exclusive to Sprint.
The BEST way to get your personal order status is to visit www.sprint.com/myorder.
Anyone who has an order impacted by the back order/delay will receive email notification.

I know this isn't true because my sister ordered the same model I did from Verizon, an hour after I did, and she will receive hers at launch.

I don't have a problem with the device delivery timeframes nor do most people as has been stated many times. It's the wide range of time sprint's giving people who ordered days apart from each other. How am I in the ship range of someone who ordered several days later than me who ordered 9/9 at 4:30 AM EST? That makes no sense. It's the fact that sprint can't even calculate separate shipping ranges.

Most carriers had plus models that said "ship by 9/16" not 9/23. And even now most give two weeks ranges to expect devices. Not 2+ weeks right from launch

anyone realize when you get the jet black iPhone actually in your hands for about 3-4 hours your minds going to change up I mean ya the fact apple changed up but yea all in all those finger prints are going to be everywhere ( for the OCD people ) lol.... but well see on launch day in my eyes jet black with the high of gloss to it just brings back 3G days.........

Thats why I will be using a clear case

ya man I agree forsure but just the Gloss is what really kills it I cant imagine how much times ull have to clean it off a day

How many times do you clean the *front* of your phone? It's just as much a fingerprint magnet as the Jet Black housing will be, and I don't have too much of a problem with it. Just a quick swipe across the shirt and you're golden.

I think it's pretty clear based on shipping confirmations so far, iPhone 7's will be in the hands of their customers in the first week of release. iPhone 7+ will have them in the first 2 weeks of release and anyone with a Jet Black will probably be anywhere from 3-6 weeks after.
