Jet Black and all the Plus models are completely sold out. No store stock at all. Apple made an announcement.

See, I don't think that's the right language (by them, not you). I don't think the carriers ever had them to sell. They shouldn't have listed them for sale online as launch day preorders.

Sprint was the last carrier to partner with Apple. Sprint is the #4 carrier. Also, Sprint has the most restrictive iPhone. So my guess is that Sprint is at the bottom of Apples priority list.

(But then again Sprint did pay those millions to Apple in order to get the iPhone. But that was years ago so who knows where the two companies stand.)

There's nothing restricted about the Sprint iPhone, stop spreading false info. If any iPhone is more "restricted" than the others, it's the AT&T/T-Mobile one because it only works on GSM. The Sprint and Verizon ones work on LTE and GSM. Sprint has 7+ models. Mine is going to be delivered tomorrow.

The servers weren't actually down. What happened is that the database that displays existing customers' devices and which are available for upgrade broke. New customers were able to sign up and pre-order just fine. It's the existing customers that had to sit and wait until Sprint fixed things.

If this is true it's just one more example of how Sprint continues to dick existing customers, intentionally or not.

Sorry. 15 yrs of stuff like this has left me less than sympathetic when they have issues.

does anyone else think they are dispatching tracking numbers by color maybe?

pretty sure most if not all people in this thread with a 7+ have gold/rg

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. There seems to be a bit of a pattern. I am also very slightly optimistic that I could still get mine tomorrow since I am pretty close to Louisville (all things considered... when a UPS package hits Louisville, I typically have it the next day), and since there are still so many phones hitting UPS tonight, I feel that there may be some people that wake up with some emails. At least I hope so. Because I have to imagine that the phones are built in batches, like cars, to meet market forecasts. So they'll say this color and this color and this color are the biggest sellers, so then what capacity and form figure meets the next criteria are put in place. Then they're sent off for packaging and all staged for pickup and off to be shipped. But the Jet Black phones require a lot of extra steps and, if you paid any attention to the rumors leading up to the launch, the Jet Black kind of came right out of nowhere. It was late to the game, so fewer of those were made. So I am HOPING that the flat black phones are still hot off the production lines and sitting in Alaska right now while the planes are serviced and flipped for their next leg. If that is the case, then phones will hit the ground in Louisville, get scanned in, then immediately get shipped off. And I distinctly remember seeing "overnight" on my order. So I still have that shred of hope.

TL;DR- Cross your fingers and toes, because it could still happen.

If not- I may actually cry. For this has rendered me a cold and calloused shell of an already bitter, broken man. All I want is to cuddle with my new toy.

Ordered a 128GB RG 7+, just got the shipping information at 6:28.

Still waiting to see if my 128GB Black 7+ makes the cut. I ordered that phone about 15 minutes before the RG phone.

Verizon uses a CDMA Unlocked model ( outright ) meaning every iPhone from the 5-6s+ ( waiting on 7 ) comes ready for pretty much any carrier BUT Sprint- they do use CDMA but its not unlocked model like Verizon head up sprints locked to a UDID ( sim ) so interchangeable sims aren't compatible with Sprint iphones

Yes they are. You may have to call to get it unlocked, but Sprint generally has no problem doing that if you've been a customer for awhile.

Finally! Got a tracking number for my 7 - Black - 128GB. Quick question, my weight is 3lbs. I ordered 2 phones on the same account, and it's being sent to the same place with the same tracking number. Pretty sure they are shipping both phones together. What is the weight of a single phone usually? A little odd because they are under two different names with same address.

Mine is 3lbs too and I only ordered 1 phone.

Not completely true, I was an upgrade orderer and mine was processed by 3:06 AM EST

I got a tracking number for one of the two phones I ordered. I haven't received the second tracking number. I had to order one phone at a time because Sprint wouldn't allow me to add more than one phone in my cart. (I ordered after Sprint fixed their crappy system and allowed current customers to upgrade, 3:30am 09/09). So I'm getting one phone tomorrow and I'm in the dark about the other.

My order was processed at 2:59 a.m. but I had to pretend that I was a new customer and then log in at the last stage of the order process. For some reason that worked.

Seems like they were giving priority to new customers ...

Bye Felecia!!

just kidding....congrats

You made me spit out my drink...lmao
I hope you get your phone soon until then I will post pics of me unboxing my phone.

On another note this has been the worse preorder experience thus far however we all have to agree that we live for refreshing our screens, having more than one computer open, coming on here ranting and building bonds. It's all part of the preorder experience.

Sprint basically told me too F**k off and that I won't get anymore info than what is on myorder.

WHY? Because I WAITED 5 HOURS ON CHAT SUPPORT AND THEY SUCK BALLS.
All I was chatting for was to see if I could cancel, because I want to go to VZ....

NOPE they said I already made the order and I can't cancel.

Wonder how many people including myself will post shipment boxes on here tomorrow.....

Well now that you've given me the idea.... :D

Yes, unless you have a waiver on file with UPS.
I do now! Thanks

Also anyone have any idea what part of the day they should arrive? I'm sure it's highly, highly variable but figured I'd ask anyway.

Very possible - I ordered my black 128 + after the 128 RG + and the RG is the only one with shipping information.

Well, I officially throw in the towel.

I'm super bummed out. Every single thing I have states that I will get my phone tomorrow. It's on my email receipt from Sprint. It was on my original order page. I ordered a matte black 7 256 at 4am PST. My receipt states- congrats early bird, you will receive your order on 09/16. It also states express overnight shipping.

Just my opinion/guess I could be totally wrong here, but I think Sprint gambled with shipping and we are the ones that lost. I think they expected to be able to ship the first wave of phones Wednesday. Those they shipped second day air. Then on Thursday ship another wave overnight. Sounds all well and good but of course, things didn't happen that way. The Wednesday phones didn't go out until Thursday and because they are 2nd day air, they won't arrive till Monday. I know it still says Friday but I very seriously doubt it. I live in CA near the major Ontario,CA hub. I can see it from my house. (So yeah, I will probably spend all weekend looking at the warehouse that has my phone in it and not be able to get it) My phone flew from KY to NM, not in to CA like usual. UPS is stating that the Wednesday phones didn't arrive in time and that I shouldn't look for a delivery till Monday. So all the phones that shipped AFTER mine via next day will arrive tomorrow.

I sincerely hope that isn't what is going to happen. But I fully expecting it.

Anyone else charged a non return fee after receiving a tracking number?

Are you sending your old phone in? Then it's normal. Once they get your old phone and verify that it works and that the screen is not cracked, they will remove the charge.
[doublepost=1473983444][/doublepost]
I guess the next hurtle is getting the accelerated lease charges off your account. I know they remove them once you send back your phones but based on Sprint track record... I'm sure the experience won't be pleasant.

I've never had a problem. Last year when I turned my phone in the charges were removed within a week of them receiving it. Hope that helps!

Just spoke to a friend of mine who works for sprint as a store manager. None of the stores are getting them in. He just finished checking in his inventory and the only model they have available for sale are the regular 7. They only received a demo model for the plus. I'm in New York if it helps. I preordered on the 10th early in the morning so I'm still holding out hope that the middle of the night I will get a tracking number.
