....£20 a month sounds very cheap - I'm actually moving to EE so may choose this sim only deal. So £20 a month for my airtime, and £599 for a Black 32gb iPhone 7, split over 2 years (via Paypal credit which they offer), is only £28.76 (includes the interest), so a total of £48.76 a month, doesn't sound too bad at all.

Gonna have to wait and see what deals EE announce tomorrow. If its a higher amount than this, or some ridiculous up front fee for the phone, then I'll be pre-ordering from Apple.

Will pre-orders last all day, i.e. I go to the website some time in the afternoon, is all the stock going to be gone?!!!

[/QUOTE]

Ok, I am DECIDED!!!!!

EE have a SIM only deal:

£19.99 am month + £28.76 a month = Happy Dayz (I can't imagine that a network deal with the same phone, will be bnetter than this)!!!!

Thats me sorted then - only thing is, is that I won't be able to get onto a PC until around 8:30am tomorrow - lets hope they still have some iPhone 7s left!!!!!

Don't forget you can possibly get £35 back from Quidco if you track your purchase http://www.quidco.com/ee-sim-only-contracts/

How does O2 instore preorders work?
I'll just turn up at the store at opening time and have a chat with them.

Last year they knew what stock allocations they would be getting, so I knew my name was against a specific phone they would definitely be getting at launch.

I left the store with a paper order confirmation and order number saying it would be available on launch day - and it was. Painless.

...no, I haven't. I'm switching from O2 to EE purely because O2's 4G coverage in Central London, where I work, is absolutely abysmal (3G is faster than 4G?!?).

EE have the more superior 4G speeds so that's the reason I'm moving!

Absolutely - totally depends where you are. Where I am they're all much of a muchness. Though only EE and Voda have wifi calling which I wouldn't be without now.

You say that but a few have done this last year and year before.

I have work so will be sleeping till about 6 getting to work (start at 8) and ordering before I start work.

That clear transparent case looks nice, are they good quality tho? Or fall apart after a month. I would like a transparent one for my jet black 7 Plus, but it needs to protect it from scratches!

I have that case for the 6S Plus got it for my launch day phone last year and still use it now so yeah would say quality is excellent for the price :)

Spigen cases are very good generally - they are well made. Some of their products are better than others, I find that the tight skins are probably the best since they add literally no bulk but protect from scratches etc. For those sort of prices, it's a safe bet.

Just ordered three myself from Amazon UK for my iPhone 7 +. Just need to get the pre-order in now. Fortunately I have been able to pre-order at 8:01am every time and get my shipment in on day one. Two years ago I even managed to get in the first time slot for in-store reservation, which allowed me to jump the queue and go in to get my phone with the other people in the same time slot!

o2 do offer the TuGo app for things like making calls over Wi-Fi don't they?

In terms of Vodafone they offer Wi-Fi Calling but AFAIK it's only EE where it works for both calls and SMS whereas Vodafone's implementation means it's Calling only.

Can we assume for the Uk it will be 8am tomorrow morning as normal for pre-orders to open. I'm wondering if the in store reserve and collect will be available as I would rather go into the store on the 16th after work to pickup.

Any of you guys looked into cases for whichever phone you're going for yet? Amazon have a few cases up already for reasonable prices!

Thank you for that, I've just ordered one from Amazon, they seem to be on offer at the moment (£5.99). A case is a must for the Jet Black option, which I'm planning on pre-ordering tomorrow morning. I've never been able to pre-order and get on release date :( hopefully this year i will, I'm going to try using the app and Apple Pay.

That TuGo app is a dogs dinner and who needs another app anyway? I'm often on wifi calling with Voda at home and receive texts and iMessages as normal..

whats the site that values the iphone trade-in more? I would like to compare it before deciding which route to take

I'm planning on pre ordering tomorrow using the app, and I had planned on paying through PayPal. Has anyone ever done this or had any problems doing it? Thanks.

Thats exactly what I'm doing with my PayPal Credit account. Gonna use the Apple website and pre-order the 32gb Black iPhone 7 and opt for the 24 month option, which will be around £28.76 a month. Then, I'm just gonna get a £20 a month SIM only deal from EE so in total, my monthly cost will only be £48.76. I think thats pretty good!

Still thinking if I should bite the bullet. I'm coming from a 6s+ 126gb. If I can sell it on the £500 mark then I'll bite.

Currently on a ee rentention deal of 2000 mins, unlimited texts and 5gb 4G for £12 per month. Contract just came to an end so might need to get on the blower to see if ee will let me stay on that plan.

Sounds good my man!
It's basically what I'm planning on doing, but since I've already got a PayPal credit account (which I used to buy my 6) do I just select PayPal as my payment option at check out, or do I need to go through that rigmarole of picking the installmemt option?
