The prices are the same as last year, but you get double the memory!

No, they really aren't!

6S Plus - £620, £700 and £790 (At launch)
7 Plus - £720, £820 and £920

If you align them closer to their storage sizes, the 16GB got dropped, the 64GB had its memory halved and £20 added, the 128GB had £30 added, and the 256GB is just a completely new 4th tier.

I'm in the exact same position.

I love the idea of the Plus from the perspective of having the bigger screen, but can't quite seem to convince myself 100% that it's the right way to go. The majority of time, my phone is sat on my desk at work, or sat somewhere handy at home. However, being a bloke, I do have to stick it in my pocket when I'm out and about, and for that reason I'm still leaning towards the standard 7. Even with my 6, I'm aware of when I have it in my pocket, and am always being cautious not to do anything to risk damaging it. That can only be worse with a bigger phone.

Pains me to miss out on the dual lens camera etc. though. ......

Having used a plus for almost a year the normal iPhone seems minuscule and I could never imagine returning to it.

I'm in the same boat went with o2 last year on the 30gb tariff and the upgrade isn't available until the 25th.

will be making 60 pounds more than o2 offer from envirophone so that wiil pay for the upfront cost if there is any. the apple upgrade looks ok including apple care but it has to be done instore not online which counts me out.

I can't see any other "perk" of this O2 upgrade/trade-in offer that actually makes it any different than selling your phone and paying off the balance of your device plan. In fact it's worse as they don't give you the best deal on what they give you for your old device.

Would be nice if you got some kind of perk like not paying any up-front fee on your upgrade, like "normal" upgraders have to, but can't see that happening.

Im ordering a 7 Plus too. In Gold like my 6 Plus now :)

Its in a case all the time so doesn't really matter what colour I go for hahaha

Can anyone tell me if I choose "collect from store" rather than delivery, am I more likely to get the phone on release day? (7+ Jet Black)

I just noticed that the new iPhone 7 leather cases, now seem to have metallic buttons:

...and here:

...but more noticeable here:

Cases look awesome!!!

It depends when you order, I think delivery times slip before you can't collect on the day, but it depends on the store.

....my 2 year iPhone 6 contract with O2, naturally comes to its end today. I have been paying £28.68 for the airtime plan + £25 for the phone, over that 2 year period. Now that the phone plan part is paid off, I only have to pay £28.68 for the airtime each month. If I stayed on the same airtime plan and just add the £33.45 for the iPhone 7 (via the upgrade plan), then that would obviously be £63.13 a month, which was more than I was paying a month for my contract.

I think, for me, it will work out cheaper to take out a new contract with the network and pay for the phone through them, than do it via the Upgrade Plan.

I suspect you're forgetting to factor in the upfront payment on phone contracts here - often quite a whack. SIM only normally cheaper, though you can miss out on some perks like EU data (for intance: EE only putting that in with plans including a phone it seems).

I'll be going SIM-only route and buying outright for the moment I think. (An easier decision when the carriers normally fail to release prices until after pre-order has started). That stupidity premium is awful high though - may nix any thought I had of upgrading the watch too (and/or some Bose QC35s).

O2 are a nightmare to get hold of today. I'm going into a store tomorrow to preorder mine, does anyone know if I'll be able to preorder my partner's too? She's stuck at work all day and makes sense to do both at once.

OK, my bad.

I paid £620 for a 64GB 6s last year.
This year I'll be paying £699 for a 128GB 7.
£80 for a better phone with double the memory.

I'm happy with that.

i can't see there being much of a perk in waiting 18 days until we can upgrade but who knows. they may offer something but doubtful it would be worth more than 60 pounds i'm getting from envirophone and the dis incentive of waiting weeks after launch to get it. I do like o2 though so thats my network of choice at the moment good signal and no problems at all during my contract.

I'm away all day Friday so unless I get get a shop appt before 0930 Ish then it will either be an appt sun onwards or allow a failed delivery.....

Really wasnt going to upgrade as I went for 6s+ grey 128 last year but really fancy the camera upgrades. I love my DSLR but it often isn't with me. Low light. Faster. Telephoto. Yes please

Going for a black 7 plus 128 I think. Prefer a black front and always put in case anyway. Just need to look around for cases and glass protectors. Had spigen real cheap last year

What time do pre-orders start tomorrow is it 8am in the UK?

Will be going for 7 Plus 32gb in Matt Black.

Music Magpie has offered £430 for my 6S Plus 64gb.

I'm just gonna wait it out tomorrow and see what EE announce for their iPhone plans - can't really get to an Apple Store for their Upgrade Program so that isn't really option.

Actually, just had a thought - if I purchase from Apple's online store and pay the full whack for an iPhone 7 (£599), I wonder if they would take PayPal Credit, as an option of paying for the phone? I could then spread the cost of the phone over 24 months, and this would be £24.95 a month, which would actually be cheaper than what I would pay a month via a network (for the phone, not the airtime).

Add to the fact, that the upgrade plan, is actually, only available in store and not online. If you can't get to a store (like me), then ordering via the network, is the only choice (other than forking out the full whack via Apple website).

My phone contract ended with O2 last month, I went into store and they lowered my tarrif to a sim only and I now pay £21.00 for unlimited calls/texts and 4gb of Data (I use about 2 on average).

Looking around I can get a similar deal with Giffgaff for around £12 a month so I think I'm going to buy the phone outright and grab a giffgaff sim.

If it doesn't workout with Giffgaff for me then EE have an offer of £20 a month, unlimited calls/text and 8GB of data.

I think that makes it cheaper overall, I'm also not tied to anyone.

Its worth looking again Dino!

I'm thinking of picking up a case along with the iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black, does anyone know if the leather cases are durable? I've got a silicone case with my 6 Plus at the moment, it has been a great case and has lasted nearly the 2 years I've had it.

I've locked in 450 with mazuma and 472 with envirophone for my old 6s plus grey 128. Any better options? What was the price or of interest a few weeks ago. I forgot until last night!

That seems decent, ive got a 128gb 6s+ black with 1 year apple care plus left, I'd jump if I was offered £472
