Has anyone considered that the shear number of units being sorted and prepared might affect all our estimated dates, processing, preparing for dispatch etc? My Leather case is still "processing". Some say they've been dispatched. Surely Apple will have several hundred thousands of these cases already made. It might be just a case of giving us our dispatch/delivery dates when they can get around to it? (Just hoping)!

I've had a dark blue leather case on my 6 for two years. Colour is still good. Scuffs tend to buff out after a few days just from putting it in my pocket. It's got some scratches and marks on it, but that's what the case is there for! Generally very happy with the leather cases. I love the feel they give the phone. I've ordered a red one for my JB 7.

Yep, 100% agree with you.

Hope my experience of Apple cases can help you make that decision easier :)

I bought a midnight blue case in 2014 when the 6 Plus came out and I've been using it non stop for two years. It hasn't worn as badly as you expect; apart from a couple of marks, it has barely discoloured. Were as my sister bought the red one and I kid you not after 3 months it discoloured so badly it turned black and orange! The leather cases have a really nice premium feel to it but as mentioned above, definitely pick a dark colour such as black or dark blue!

The silicone ones do feel nice in the hand, I used one for 2 weeks when I got the 6S Plus but quality issues had led me to return it (a white pocket of air had bubbled up and began peeling near the camera and the inside fabric began to split from the case). I couldn't be bothered to get another one and just returned it and stuck with the leather one. I'm sure the quality of my case was a one off as many of my friends and family are still rocking theirs!

Hope this helps, I can send you a picture of my case, so you can get an idea of how 2 years of use looks on a leather case!

I tend to find the Apple Silicone cases rather slippery if I am honest. My 2 year midnight blue leathe case for my iPhone 6 however has just been superb. It's gone pretty dark around the corners and edges but the leather itself is fine. Yes, there are few scratches and marks on the back but that's what gives the case it's individuality!

It's also a lot easier to hold and offers me far better grip than the silicone case. I find the leather natural wants to grip to my hand. By that I mean that I hold my iPhone 6 in my right hand at a 45 degree angle. I have all 4 fingers of my right hand, on the left of the case (I don't use my pinky to support the phone underneath, like most people to do) and the right of the case kinda rests against the fleshy part of my hand - the case naturally stays in in place (it's grips my hand!) and doesn't slip.

I would highly recommend the leather cases.

Cheers mate! Just grabbed one and while I was looking it went from 7 available to just 5... Will return my other one I purchased.

Did you go for the Anker one? Oh and are you returning it to Amazon? They want 3.99 just for me to drop it off at a locker!

Only looks like there are 2 left now, we got in just in time ;)

I was charged 3 hours ago for my in store pickup of the 7 Plus RG I don't really want but will use until my Black arrives ;)

I used Apple Pay and initially the wallet app showed it as a declined payment but for whatever reason the next try it worked. I never got any email or status changed from the order tracking.

It is interesting Apple are charging us on Sunday - when those phones for pick up won't arrive until Thursday. Seems like its a bit early to charge.

Meanwhile my Black 128GB Plus still shows 27-29 September. I haven't seen mine move however I am hopeful that like last year we will see 6-8 days delivery get delivered for Friday.

Anybody tempted by the new Solo3's from Beats? Have been using Beats for a while hd the original Solo's and a pair or iBeats and Mixrs. If they're anything like the Solo2 wireless, then don't bother. Sound is **** for the price. Spend a little more and get the Bowers and Wilkins P7 Wireless.

It does rather look like a lot of payments were caught the Bank of Scotland/Halifax systems. That might also have explained the 30 minute plus wait to get through to their fraud team!
Wow luckily for me I hadn't been waiting for more than a minute on the phone before the text came through. It might have been a coincidence but before they put me in the queue to speak to someone it asked me on the automated service what the issue was and I angrily said 'trying to authorise a transaction' lol

Good taste :)

:) I've had my fair share of wireless headphones. 17 hours battery on the B&Ws and if you ever run out of battery, you can convert it into a wired set of cans too. For me it's a small price to pay, I spend so much on a mobile phone once every two years, and wherever I go, my headphones and music go. I'm more than happy to spend a premium for headphones that will last me a good 6-8 years (at the very least).

I feel like the odd one out when you're all talking about cases as I always get a Joli sleeve. Then I never use screen protectors as the sleeve protects it in my bag. My iPhone 6 is pretty much pristine after two years. One small scratch on top corner.

This time I ordered the limited collection teal leather with orange felt. If it's as nice as looks I may treat my iPad mini to a new sleeve in the same colours.

Ok so I just checked my bank and I think Apple has taken payment(I hope so anyway).Im picking up in store but my order still says processing is that normal?

Just to summarise :)

Your order will be processing until Thursday night in 99% of cases. Then you will get a shipment email.

It's extremely unusual for ANY pre-orders to change status before Thursday - I know quite a few have in this thread but if the order says delivered Friday or pick up Friday IT WILL BE THERE! APPLE ALWAYS DELIVER WHEN THEY SAY....

And in the case of my Black + I hope earlier...

Mine's say processing too. Who knows? They've done it differently this year.

I think we've simply reserved one from the batch that the store receives.

I want to pick up some QC35s but I don't travel enough to warrant the purchase of the best NC headphones lol. I've been looking at the P7s but currently using Momentum wireless, but the p7s are the next step :p

Sorry for off topic.

Also, let's see what o2 is like tomorrow :p and my cases will be arriving even though I think I'm not going to use any of the five or so I've ordered.

This year its a dam joke, every year I que up and get it first at launch now no way to get the 7 plus pre order is November and no queuing to get it at store first thing, now its not fair

The signal is poor. I was with them for a year and data signal would drop out regularly. I then moved to giffgaff which is the O2 network and the drop outs stopped happening. Customer service was also not great.

There feel at home was very useful in America though.
Well the feel at home can be got with a 20 quid add on for a pay as you go SIM. I just did that.

Diverted my calls to the Three Sim (before I left) then switched sims. Worked a treat. Only thing I didn't get were sms. Still got whatsapp and iMessage of course.

So I ordered my iPhone through the Apple Store and another through Stormfront. My Apple Store iPhone is supposed to arrive on the 2nd-6th Oct But the Stormfront one is tbc. Has anyone had experience with them before? I ordered a Jet Black 7 Plus 128GB if that helps in any way..

They're absolutely gorgous, Ive never had one for my phone but my MacBook is rocking one of these at the moment and they're such good quality sleeves.
