when you reserve to pick up in store, do you have to have a credit card associated with the apple account? Reason I ask is my primary apple account is for Portuguese store where I live but I'm flying into Bristol on 16th and wanted to collect from the Bath store but don't want hassle of adding/changing credit cards to apple id's.

Nope, no payment details are needed. Last year you were limited to reserving two phones but that is it. Apple aren't worried about people reserving and not turning up as they will just sell it to someone else the following day.

I did this with Envirophone - accepted the £473.55 price earlier today...all looked fine....

...the "confirmation" e-mail came through and it just says £451.00? Hmm.....I think Envirophone might be pulling a fast one?? Anyone else get the conf e-mail?
I noticed the same. I used them before last year and in March (along with another 5% code too). The old emails mentioned the 5% however they've obviously changed their systems since then because the new email is a completely new format and layout.

Last year what i also noticed is the time you reserve to pick up your phone, you can go earlier and just show them the email and they will get them for you.

I got the same thing. I gave them a ring and they confirmed the additional 5% will get added at the last minute. I've taken a screenshot of the full amount anyway just in case.

My Envirofone pack arrived today. Just a thin bit of cardboard protects the phone from doom. Very irresponsible of them to send such inappropriate packaging for a £700 phone.

Am planning on reserving online and going in store to set up an upgrade program.

What should I take with me in store?

Have you started your RM claim?

I have sent off my 6S plus today to Mazuma. Took pictures of the phone whilst wrapping it up and packaging it showing it in pristine condition just in case i have to prove myself.

Asked the royal mail counter staff to put a fragile handle with care sticker and also used the RM special delivery too.

Hopefully ill know by tomorrow at some point what Mazuma are going to say.

Your post has made me worry now lol dont know if ill sleep tonight!
It's never happened before. I've sent phones in before. I think the edge is particularly fragile so maybe that's why it happened.

Driving licence or passport and a method of paying the upfront charge. And you need to know your bank account details.

Check out the website mate has all the info you need

I had, I have both bits of information, not sure what else I can bring which should be acceptable.

Driving license check.
Debit card has account details on.
Amex to pay upfront charge.

No employment details?

Time for an iPhone7 upgrade. Seriously considering moving from ‪@EE‬ to ‪@ThreeUK‬. Big data spender (10GB plan now, using it all), any advice?

Yes, and addresses from last three years. But you'll know those without looking them up whereas you might not have known account details.

Shouldn't be too difficult, unless I've been asked to provide proof that I've lived there for at least 3 years. I've stayed at this address for most of my life.

Alas am on holiday when the release day comes round, not back until a week later.

I want to go via the upgrade programme and sign up to that invite, and it says I need a reservation to go in and do so.

Possible for me to book a reservation to do so tomorrow morning , but the date to pick up be in a couple of weeks time?

That is great news!!!!!

By the time I get into the office tomorrow morning (around 8:30am), I'll have EE's prices to compare against buying an iPhone 7 outright (via the 24 month instalment PayPal Credit Agreement Plan) from Apple so that I can make an informed choice of the best way forward!!!

Does anyone already have paypal credit and will be using it to fund their purchase?

By already having it, I mean you won't be signing up for it from scratch, you already have an account and are going to use your available funds.

Anyone??

I dropped them an email when i noticed the same things and they told me it got added at the end too. I guess if they drop the price they are willing to pay (the £451 bit) then the 5% bit drops based on that.

How big is the pack you got? I was going to send my phone back in its original box, unused EarPods leaflets etc (although someone on here said they only want the phone, i'll have to look in to that), then wrap that in bubble warp and put in another box before putting envirofone's packaging round it. I guess if I'm paying for special delivery then surely i could just use the address label envirofone send?

The apple upgrade program is a rip.

You all do realise if you upgrade after 12 months you have to hand the old phone back. So no trade in value. You only keep it if you stick the full 2 years. So it's effectively an ongoing rental agreement where your forced to pay for Applecare

They just want the phone. Keep your earpods, box and chargers. Another reason the recyclers are better. Plus no eBay scammers who make you end up relisting it.

Anyone??

I already have a PayPal Credit account (£3K Limit) so will be using this to fund my iPhone 7 from Apple's website tomorrow morning.

Not sure how exactly this will work though as in the past, when I have bought off eBay via PayPal, the funds are debited by PayPal, from my main bank current account (my current account is linked to PayPal). I'm worried that if I select PayPal at the checkout stage when finalising my order, that PayPal will then debit the full price of the iPhone 7, from my bank account as opposed to adding the balance to my PayPal Credit Agreement and letting me pay it off over 24 months!!!!

Perhaps we will need to select "PayPal Credit Agreement" whilst in the check out or something like that?!!!
