Just locked in £299 for my S7 with envirofone.com using the envsept5 code. Will be buying a black 7 tomorrow morning in 32gb.

I already have a PayPal Credit account (£3K Limit) so will be using this to fund my iPhone 7 from Apple's website tomorrow morning.

Not sure how exactly this will work though as in the past, when I have bought off eBay via PayPal, the funds are debited by PayPal, from my main bank current account (my current account is linked to PayPal). I'm worried that if I select PayPal at the checkout stage when finalising my order, that PayPal will then debit the full price of the iPhone 7, from my bank account as opposed to adding the balance to my PayPal Credit Agreement and letting me pay it off over 24 months!!!!

Perhaps we will need to select "PayPal Credit Agreement" whilst in the check out or something like that?!!!

Ive been wondering about that.

Not sure if Paypal ctedit option appears on paypal screen or Apple screen.

Also you get 4 months at 0% so if you can pay within 4 months then you dont pay interest.

I think paypal pay the whole amount for you. Dont think your debited when paying by paypal credit. Could be wrong but thats how i think it works.

Shouldn't be too difficult, unless I've been asked to provide proof that I've lived there for at least 3 years. I've stayed at this address for most of my life.

The electronic credit check does the address verification etc. The photo id is just to make sure that the credit check is being run on the person making the purchase.

8:30, that's pretty much the afternoon ;).

They will all be out of stock by then. Im guessing the only ones they may have is the 32GB ones but the 64GB and 128GB jet blacks and black are goners.

Silver and gold and maybe rose gold go as fast.

Its normally the new colours that sell out fastest. Remember Gold and Rose gold when they first lanched were like gold dust. Jumped straight to 3-4 weeks.

Yes! This is what is puzzling me, its not like you can put a dummy order through for something as once you click submit, if it comes out of the bank account, as opposed to paypal credit, I like you, will be mighty miffed.

Whilst doing a dummy order, the option for credit agreement doesn't seem to appear (ordering something else obviously)

The help section on Paypal is next to useless too.

Depends on if people can get on the site at 8, you have the remember the sites are prone to crashing so they could still be around easily.

Ah, its cool, once you choose installments, you choose how many months, it'll take you to paypal and it says 'you are using your existing credit for this purchase' then you just click continue.

If everyone could do me a favour and wait until 8.05 just so I can place my order that would be great :D

Be online at 07:59... :D
[doublepost=1473361932][/doublepost]Also, as a side note, I see the scammers already have their eBay auctions up...

Someone has bid £1900 for a 256 gig Jet Black + model.

I mean, there is something wrong with the world.

I'm only after the Black 32gb iPhone 7 so hopefully they'll still be in stock when I'm sat in front of my pic at 8:30am!!!

I think the check out process will give us the option of "Choosing An Agreement" whereby we'll be taken through the same process of setting up a PayPal Cretit Agreement for the iPhone 7. This is how I bought my Apple Watch over 6 months ago - I selected "PayPal Credit" or something similar.

I too will be HIGHLY miffed if PayPal debits the full cost of the iPhone 7 from my current account!!!

Yeah, I did a dummy order and it goes through to that option so all is fine in the world!!

Yea, I just did a dummy order for a watch strap and when you get to the part for "Billing Details" you can select 'Credit/Debit Card' or 'Installents'. Clicking 'Installemts' then brings up the option for "PayPal Credit" so all good!!!

;)

I see no such confirmation from EE and I follow them on Twitter?

Time for an iPhone7 upgrade. Seriously considering moving from ‪@EE‬ to ‪@ThreeUK‬. Big data spender (10GB plan now, using it all), any advice?

The carriers don't half create a headache for themselves. It might be Apple not allowing them to release prices but no doubt as usual the websites will crash as people try to browse deals and preorder at the same time. It would make much more sense to allow consumers to research deals before release IMO. Other products have this but I do think Apple enjoy the chaos every launch seems to bring.

I dropped them an email when i noticed the same things and they told me it got added at the end too. I guess if they drop the price they are willing to pay (the £451 bit) then the 5% bit drops based on that.

How big is the pack you got? I was going to send my phone back in its original box, unused EarPods leaflets etc (although someone on here said they only want the phone, i'll have to look in to that), then wrap that in bubble warp and put in another box before putting envirofone's packaging round it. I guess if I'm paying for special delivery then surely i could just use the address label envirofone send?
Keep your box and earpods, they don't want them and they won't thank you for it. Just send the phone and tbh the packaging they send you implies as much.

They give you a tiny cardboard sleeve that will hold literally nothing but the handset. They also give you a prepaid 48hr tracked label (£50 insurance!)

I have grabbed a suitable box and some bubble wrap from work, and will send it via special delivery (£500 insurance) which should cost about £6.50. I'll spend a little to ensure they or RM don't fumble and break something.

The apple upgrade program is a rip.

You all do realise if you upgrade after 12 months you have to hand the old phone back. So no trade in value. You only keep it if you stick the full 2 years. So it's effectively an ongoing rental agreement where your forced to pay for Applecare
[doublepost=1473360447][/doublepost]
They just want the phone. Keep your earpods, box and chargers. Another reason the recyclers are better. Plus no eBay scammers who make you end up relisting it.

It's no more or less of a scam than car leasing which is increasingly popular. If you intend to upgrade yearly what difference does it make if you just rent it for a year and hand back or buy it and sell it after a year? If you paid the full cost of the phone over a year and had to hand it back then it is a scam but that isn't the case, you basically just rent it for a year and pay for the depreciation like you would for a car. You end up paying a bit more than the depreciation because you pay for Applecare+ but you get more convenience from not having to sell your old phone each year.

Someones taking the pee on exchange rates. Just read, ok its the daily mail, us dollars 749 for silver 7 plus 32gb. uk pounds 719 but the dollars exchange at 562 pounds! also euro is 1.2 to the pound (= 862 euros) yet euro price is 919. Dollar to euro should make it 666 euros!! Just checked all exchange rates and this info is correct!!

On top of that you've also got VAT and import duty, Europe duty (still applicable for now). They are also looking to make a little stock pile for when Europe make them pay Ireland the billions they owe.

Dont forget the sales tax in America, it wont just be $749.

Edit yeah, scrap what I said, comes to about $790 dollars with sales tax (New York 4.5%) so blatant rip off.

But then, it always has been, nothing to do with Brexit whatsoever as the UK hasn't actually left anything.

still stitched for an extra 60 euros if I buy here and we've vat and import tax similar to uk! Have to admit to winning a bit with exchange rates on other apple stuff so can't grumble!

I haven't touched an electronic credit check in a long time, only EIDC (Electronic Identity Check).
