iPhone 7/7+ - UK Orders & Dispatches Thread

Orders as of 16th.
I'm going to the store early at 8 on Fridays because they have stock of all the iPhones.
I'm starting to regret choosing Jet Black too after reading the reviews!I just had to go with it as it's something new and exciting. I'm not too worried about fingerprints as it looks like the Black is also prone to them.
The Jet Black does look amazing but scratching seems to be a huge issue. But to be fair I'll be chucking a case on it so fingers crossed it'll be okay.
I hate cases so put a skin from Best Skins Ever on my 6S Plus and have ordered the same for my 7 Plus. Choosing the glossy finish front and back for the Jet Black means my phone will be protected from the worst of the fingerprints and any scratching. Takes same patience to apply but if done properly you can't tell there is anything there.
Please, unless you're Andy Street or head of inventory, you have no idea what models John Lewis will have in stock on Friday.
I assume there will be Jet Black display models in all the Apple Stores on Friday so we can see for ourselves what we think.
Am less worried re scratching since it will be in a case. I get fingerprints and make-up on the screen so not overly concerned on that either. That said we just bought a new black car and that is a nightmare to keep clean

I've never used a Skin before but have considered it in the past, I might give it a go this time around!
It looks like a black 5C. I think the matt black looks nice. Not sure if i could do a black phone though.

I think we'll be just fine! You could always give the phone a quick rinse now it's iP67 rated.

Wouldn't be surprised if the iPhone's on display at apples stores won't allow you to actually hold th jet black because of th scratching. They may just put it in a display box and let you see them, but not actually touch. Just read the Engadget review - sucks to be a jet black owner to be honest, no doubt they will have the highest return rate and lowest resell value in the coming years.

I have the pink gold s7 edge now that I've borrowed since I sold my 6s a week ago. The hardware is wonderful. The software is yuk! I'm missing iMessage, find my friends, and just the whole experience of iOS
Possibly. They've started doing this in an Apple Store I visited in France. Haven't seen it in the UK yet.
...so are people on here gonna be updating their existing iPhone 6 and 6 Plus to iOS 10 today or are you all gonna wait for your new shiny iPhone 7, before you have a play with iOS 10?!

I'm not, at least not on my iPhone. I'll wait for the new one. I will be updating my iPad Pro but not today. I'm gong to wait a few days for that for two reasons. One I want to make sure there are no issues with it. Two I don't want to try and update it today when the majority will be doing the same and it's just going to be manic and slow the process down.
If it's Apple in the US, I had a call from +1 (512) 674 2000 yesterday to confirm my order.
Just checked my order and it's preparing for dispatch!
As far as the information goes that I was given, only the stock of 7+ both black and jet black will be limited (in the higher capacity configurations).
They did it for the high value Apple watches and some accessories in some London stores. People will look at the shiny black iPhone glistening from its display case and instantly want that, all whilst not knowing that they are buying a phone that will eventually look more like the iPhone silver lol
