Yeah I did it earlier on! Anyone else going for the Watch too?

Yep. (Sorry bank account).

Will order the iPhone 7 Plus first followed by the Apple Watch Series 2 as there are far more models that there's a good chance they'll still have what I want.

so here we go again... hasn't the last year flown by?!

I promised myself I wouldn't be back this year given what was expected form this years launch... but here i am..

i've also tried the 6+ and then 6s+ in the last two years only to return them as I couldn't get use to the size... guess what I'm tempted to go for this year!

DO IT, I'm beating my demon this year and making myself adapt to the plus

So what you all doing? Ordering for delivery or store pickup?
I've always done delivery but this year I'm going to reserve to collect next Friday.

What's it like doing it this way for the people who have done it in the past?
Can I just go as soon as the shop opens, or do I get an allocated time?

The UK has always overpaid and if it wasn't for Brexit the cost for UK customers would have been lower (but still higher than USA customers). The pound has fallen since the Brexit vote, if we never voted to leave then the pound wouldn't have fallen so bad and even though we would have an increase in the models that were increased in price in the USA, it wouldn't have been as sharp of a rise as it is now.
Apple kept the same pricing as last year, so in a GBP silo the prices have not fluctuated at all. Absolutely nothing to do with brexit unless you are planning on converting your pounds to euros and then back to pounds before buying.

I wouldn't be here unless I hadn't already talked myself around to it! ah well, have a good week or two to try and get use to it... Had decided that going without a case would help handling the size etc but reading the small print on the jet black make me worry the phone will look a mess in no time!

going to be one hell of a Friday tomorrow, picking up my new car too

Can you pre order on the apple upgrade program in the uk? via the app or something? Can't get to a shop

Yes me!

I wouldn't have, but they only had to go and bloody make it waterproof. I am an avid swimmer so I have never been able to take the activity tracking seriously as it doesn't record my number one workout.

I couldn't pass up on this.

I've been using the iPhone 6S Plus for the last year and I'm thinking of moving back to the regular. Way too big unless I'm using my phone in bed haha.

You get an allocated time. Obviously if you do it at 0801 you'll be able to choose the earliest pickup time which I think is 0800-0815. Get there 10 or so minutes before.

Start refreshing from 7:55am, whilst having a coffee and youll keep seeing the "sorry well be back" page then at 8:01 youll see the buy now button and then you can start adding.

Or add it to favourites and then checkout.

What i have noticed is that the fiest list of countries has increased this year then a week later more countries get it. Normally they dont release it so quickly across the world.
Maybe they have more stock this year as its a model using the same aluminium materials since 2014 so they can manufacture greater numbers in short space of time.

Lets wait and see!

I've favourited the phone I want, what do I do then once the store comes up at 8:01? (I'm using the mobile app)

This is the link I am gonna be using tomorrow morning :

http://www.apple.com/uk/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-7/4.7-inch-display-32gb-black#00,11,20

As you can see, the "Continue" button is not clickable but I uses that will change at 8:01am tomorrow morning. Unfortunately I don't get in to the office until around 8:30am so won't have a chance to put in my pre-order until I get in, in front of my pc. Don't wanna chance putting in my order on my iPhone 6 as I will be selecting the PayPal Credit Agreement option (which I doubt you can do via the Apple Store app anyway). I just gotta hope there will be stock left at around 8:30ish!!!!!

Do you guys think they will offer any day except for the 16th for collection?

Have to be at work by 8!!! Stupid work!!

The pound has weakened against most currencies, the $ mostly so. When the pound fell it fell to it's lowest level against the $ for over 30 years, currently the pound is nowhere near the level at was against the $ before the Brexit vote. This is partly why there is a huge increase in price in iPhones and other Apple items. Just because we voted to leave the EU it doesn't mean our currencies only dropped against the Euro, it dropped against many currencies (Japan even suspended trading against British companies in case investors from Japan invested in British companies that continued to fall in value because of the falling rate in the pound).

The price rise the UK is seeing is very much to do with Brexit, that is why other countries are not seeing an increase to scale as the UK is.

so rationale for trying the + size again this year is mainly based on the rumours that next years release will be the big redesign we all really actually want.

I'm assuming

1) the bigger of next years phone will have a killer feature that won't be on its smaller sibling.
2) if they do go bezel free and shrink the casing and keep the big screen, a year with this years + size might get me desperate to get back to a more manageable size!
