No email from Very yet.

It still says "Delivery by Saturday 17 September (Delivery date checked on 13/09/2016)" and when I track it it says

"Order being processed at supplier
12 September, 2016
12:38:07"

They don't update preorder tracking until midnight every day.

I just spoke to very again and was told this ,

Shameemah : I am not sure why you received a email stating it will,be delivered by October, if you do not receive this by 16.09.2016 then we can investigate this further for you.

keeping everything crossed the enail was just a precaution haha
I would trust a message from the Head of Customer Services over the message from Shameemah...

It ain't arriving Friday. Let go. :p

Email from Very.

"We’re really sorry but there has been a delay with the stock and we won't be able to despatch your order just yet. At this moment in time, the Apple iPhone 7 Plus is so popular that there is not enough stock in the UK to meet demand.

You’re a valued customer and we know this is frustrating so we’ll treat this delay with the highest priority. We are hoping to deliver your Apple iPhone 7 Plus in early October."

hmmm, i've not had that just yet..

I hope you get lucky but I wouldn't base anything on that status even though it sounds hopeful, I've a Watch Series 2 on preorder from them and it's estimated to be delivered october the 15th and it says "order being processed at supplier" too

slightly off topic but if anyone doesn't mind waiting a month or however long it takes for them to get some in stock then Very are doing the watch for the same price as Apple with the option to pay up to 12 months later :)

Their advisors are usually sat at home behind a laptop and have no other information other than what the customer can see on their screens so more often than not it's a waste of time contacting them on Live Chat or email.

I'm sat talking to "Gavin" on the Very Live chat, asked him whats going on..

He told me it was a preorder and its due the 17th and i need to be patient, and "An today is the 14/9/2016 is that not correct Daniel?"

talk about being sarcastic..

As said Very must have been told they were getting stock by Apple as they wouldn't just open preorders a month earlier if not. I didn't doubt that they would deliver mine by Friday and I'm not TOO annoyed that it's coming Saturday because if it does, a one day delay isn't the end of the world. I envy some of the people on here who's biggest concern in the world is whether or not they are getting a phone on release day.

Tempted to cancel just for the sarcasm..

I think an email straight from the head of Very customer relations knows more about their stock situation than a Very chat rep who deals with women buying shoes all the time.

In other news, one has to be amazed at the fact that Apple specifically advertises the iPhone black models and yet has the least stock for them.

I'm not bothered whether I get the phone on release day or not - I am a bit bothered by Very promising release day or a couple of days after release day delivery, only to push all the orders back to early October. It's a bit, wrong.

I think what is more than likely is that they took more orders than they had stock, with Apple not giving them a fulfilment date for on going orders. Which is why many Very customers will still get a phone, and some won't.

If this was purely down to Apple over promising stock then you would see more than very having the issue.

What will happen now is some people will have opened a very account, which won't be closed and some will remain customers. For others very will have nicely collected your data and you will get junk every day by email. Apple have just spread the stock too far... and not enough to replenish.

Very cancelled. Guess I'm out of luck to get any colour now for release day unless I queue up at the store which I won't be doing. Thanks a lot very for dragging us along Until 1 day before release before letting us know you can't fulfil the orders.

Right. Very order has been cancelled completely. Money should be back into my account within 2-3 days.

Think I'll try my luck with John Lewis. If not, I'll wait until the money is back in my account and then order from Apple. Should have stuck with my first Apple Order. Lesson learnt.

Yeah, don't buy anything from Very or anyone else within the Shop Direct Group :)

So don't forget to make use of the new unsubscribe feature in iOS 10!

Ordered a matte black 7 plus 128gb. Confirmation e-mail shows 27-29. Doubt its coming on Friday now. Poor launch stock levels. Can't believe ordering something within 5 minutes of release pushes it back 2 weeks.

It's by no means over if you're not picky on colour and are willing to travel. Even Pluses in Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver keep popping up on the Apple reservations site.
