My other iPhone 7 Silicone case is preparing for dispatch :)
What colour silicone cases did you order?
 
So all these lovely posts about tracking the shipping from China and getting build dates etc, is this only for the US? Or can we have a go too?

By this time last year I seem to remember we knew which delivery agent we'd be with due to order numbers etc. Is this just a case of waiting until we get the tracking numbers?
 
I am fairly confident that next week there will be more Plus stock. More towards the end of next week that is and in the black finishes. If you go by previous iPhone pre order timings, there is normally 2 weeks between pre order and delivery. This year Apple reduced the time frame to capture all the people having issues with Samsung devices. This meant they would have stock but not the full amount to guarantee delivery on the 16th. Its a PITA but its only a phone at the end of the day (ducks)

I think what is more than likely is that they took more orders than they had stock, with Apple not giving them a fulfilment date for on going orders. Which is why many Very customers will still get a phone, and some won't.

If this was purely down to Apple over promising stock then you would see more than very having the issue.

What will happen now is some people will have opened a very account, which won't be closed and some will remain customers. For others very will have nicely collected your data and you will get junk every day by email. Apple have just spread the stock too far... and not enough to replenish.

I guess it's easier for me not to be too annoyed as I've been a customer for years and have never had any issues. I understand why some are annoyed but the Apple diehards knew how unlikely Plus delivery would be anyway but yeah it is still bad for them to advertise release day delivery and not honour it but at the same time they probably have something about preorders in the small print.
 
Um no... the warranty is 2 years under UK/EU consumer law.

Luckily apple stores know all about this, and I've used it without issues also. They don't argue, and put "covered under local law" on the repair bill, which is zero'd.

Actually the consumer law in England / Wales is 6 years, Scotland is 5 years, for all products that purchased after Oct 2015

Very cancelled. Guess I'm out of luck to get any colour now for release day unless I queue up at the store which I won't be doing. Thanks a lot very for dragging us along Until 1 day before release before letting us know you can't fulfil the orders.
Is it the plus or the 7 you want?

You can still try and make a reservation or order for collection in store. You're unlikely to get a black but the other colours you have a good chance of getting especially for the 7. You need to check on line at 6 am everyday.

John Lewis' pre-orders are going live tonight at 8pm and it's rumoured that they may have some Rose gold pluses. They may also have some of the other non black pluses too and some of the non black 7's.
 
Despite being on my high-horse about premeditated 14-day store returns my wonky moral compass does allow a cheeky side bet with Very as well after having seen someone post on here about them early doors back on the 9th.

My 1150AM Very order said 'delivers by Friday 16th' and was then updated to "Delivery by Friday 16 September (Delivery date checked on 13/09/2016)" yesterday.

I have however just received the same Let-Down Lydia email saying it'll now be October, but their My Orders page has not updated yet. I too would've eaten my hat if it arrives/arrived on Friday, but having read the post above about the email being sent in error to Jbee94 I'm not going to cancel it until the ETA changes on the website ...

Whilst hoping it DOES come, I'd be gutted for you DrBlueBox if you get shafted twice cancelling both!

Just as well I kept my Silver iP7+ on Apple.com alive. Had a funny feeling about my very order and canceled on Sunday. Got my money back already, so all good.
It would have been too good to be true... very, JL, CPW all selling iP7+ but Apple struggles with demand.... we should have known :)

It depends what you have ordered and what part of the country you are in. UK Mail and DPD normally give a time window. UPS is normally an all day thing. DPD have a new App thats good at letting you select alternative delivery address and updates and you can register for my choice UPS thing for text updates....

My order was at 11:05am I just checked it and got pushed back to early November. I doubt any very orders will be delivered on the 16th.
 
Trying to decide whether or not to pre-order iPhone 7+ from John Lewis.

I know JL have the 'extended' 2 year warranty, but I'm not sure how much of a difference this makes. If the iPhone has a problem, does it get repaired by JL or Apple?
 
I had a Jet Black 7 order with very.co.uk I cancelled last night, but it was due for delivery on Friday. I just got this email:

I'd really like there to be a way to keep one post at the top of this thread each year that shows at the top of every page with all the info about walk-ins, 14 day return window, dodgy carriers and retailers who claim to have stock every year but rarely (if ever) do, how a sim-plan and buying phone outright is cheaper in 99% of cases, that awesome list of stock available etc etc. Really would be so useful!! (Oh and the next one that'll start in a day or so, 'how do I track my phone?' (especially for the Syncreon ones!!))
 
Just put in an order for an iphone 7 Plus 128GB Black with Apple. Regret cancelling my first order with them, had a 27th delivery window, now it's 7th October. Still not too bad, I suppose.

It looks like John Lewis will have Rose Gold in stock for the pluses but it's currently showing nothing for the other colours. If they do have black I'll try and snag one but otherwise I'll just stick with the Apple order, nevermind.

Wont be shopping with Very again.

Anyone checking their tracking on Very be aware that it won't update until midnight at the earliest. That's why it still says the date was checked yesterday as it's behind the info we are now receiving by email.
