I'm normally pretty excited about getting my new iPhone, but for some reason this time it's just not really happening for me. Yes, I'm still looking forward to it, it'll be nice upgrade from my current 6, but I'm just not as "stoked" about it as usual.

I deliberated about going up to a Plus this time, but eventually decided to stay with the standard 7. (I currently have a pre-order for a 128GB Black 7 for collection in-store tomorrow morning.)

It's bothered me all week that I might have made the wrong choice, and should have opted for the Plus. I've almost placed an order for one several times this week just to see how the delivery dates panned out. Might still be tempted, and if the normal 7 doesn't do it for me, it can go back within 14 days and I'll just wait for the Plus to arrive.

And yes, I know this all probably sounds really selfish and self-centered, particularly given the poor supply that there is this year.
If you want a black plus the last time I checked the delivery date window started at the 26th for new orders so that is always an option :) but anyway, I hope you enjoy your new phone tommorow!

Yup! No stickers for that, but a bunch of the tables at a sensible place in your store (either at the genius bar, or another place where they can easily fence it off with security guards!) and they'll have stacks of each phone they have stock off. There's enough for every reservation and every walk-in business card which is stickered with a SKU (and to be honest, they might well not bother stickering the paid ones, and just grab it!)

You'll be assigned to a staff member when you enter the store, and they'll get you going on their POS device (the funky rectangle with a barcode scanner on the top and an iPhone/iPod Touch inside it). At some point in the process, they'll scan the QR code on your email (for reservations) and then send a notification to someone else's POS device who will grab your phone and deliver it to whichever table your Apple Store employee is sat at. They have a little dropdown where they have to pick the table they want it delivered too.

It's a very efficient process :)

Yeh exactly! They might well not even stick the sticker onto an iPhone so they don't have to bother finding your exact phone and can just get you one from the pile. It's all stock controlled so they isn't any risk of them selling more phones than they have in their piles :)

I do love the atmosphere of an Apple Store at 8am on a launch day. Especially now we have reservations and there isn't a fear of not getting a phone in a long queue.
I've got a reservation. Can I only go at that time or can I turn up at at 8 for a 9AM reservation.

PROPER PISSED OFF.

SO I sent my phone to MobileCashMate - they were offering the best price £340 for my 6+ unlocked 128Gb.
They now tell me that it's not cosmetically perfect (true - it's used) and that they are now offering £288 because of a 'small scratch' on the screen.

I called them and they said it's any mark gets listed as B grade and that is the B grade price.

Ladies and gents - is it still worth just letting them have it and getting the money or shall I faff with eBay, With the paypal fees/ebay fees would I get much more?

For what it's worth I sold my 6S Plus 128 GB for £550 over on AV Forums. They don't take a cut either. If you can't sell there I'd have a look how much they are going for on eBay then decide.

Thanks! My mind - which has been thinking "they only ever had two in stock, and your reservation is late, and some idiot it going to sell your phone to someone else!" - has been put to rest by this follow-up email I just got in addition to the original confirmation! :)

You won't make many friends if you do. I think it's technically possible for them to deal with you before your time slot, but definitely not at 8am. They're going to be insanely busy for that first 30 minutes while they deal with the walk in queue and the first heavily-booked slots.

They'll likely just ask you to wait to the side of the main queues until they get a chance to deal with you :)

There's a reason you couldn't select 8am in the first place. And if they are serving you early then they can't serve someone who got the slot.

My 7+/ 128 / JB with an 8:04 confirmation is also still at "26/9 - 3/10" I was catching up with this thread and refreshing, but no changes so far...

So looks like there's going to be a phone loaded with Black Pluses heading to the UK over the weekend.

I shipped my 128gb 6splus to them as they where offering £469, after shipping I read their trust pilot page and found they sometimes intentionall mark phones and offer a lot less than they state. The phone I shipped was actually replaced by Apple the night before and was brand new condition wise, I even sent it with the cellophane over the screen and back.

Got an email yesterday to say they had received, and one today saying it had passed inspection and I would get the full amount. Still waiting on it being paid into my account though, they do say it can take up to midnight.

I know I could have gotten more selling privately, however I just wanted the convenience of sending it off.

I am wondering if it's worth getting it back - and possibly not making much more on it, or whether their offer is actually not that bad. Mazuma is £270 for A grade..

Try Shpock it's free to sell on there although it's not good for buying iPhones (scammers selling fake cloned iPhones which run android)

So now that Sep 20-22 seems to be the earliest anyone is getting a black Plus model, anyone have any idea whether the delivery date will become more accurate? Will Apple ever change it to a specific day? Or will one just find out if/when the courier company text the night before?

My Vodafone sim-only plan has just switched to the iPhone 7 plan.

All I need how is a delivery slot for tomorrow and I'm sorted....

Bugger. Just got a text from 3, black 7+ 128gb now being delivered sometime before 3rd Oct. They have credited my account with five whole pounds. Yay.
