Ordered last night from JL, Bank blocked card so used PayPal , all went through but they cancelled this morning at 11am saying problem with PayPal. Thought would use my apple reservation for tomorrow night but logged back in to JL and they had model I wanted so order went through on card after bank text this morning . Just noticed on JL that they are selling plus models from 8am tomorrow morning

Can we all agree that, next year, the only way to stand a real chance of a shiny new phone on launch day or anywhere near launch day is to go direct with Apple?? So many people would be so much happier because even if you had a later date at least the thing would be relied upon to arrive!!

Next year Apple will have more units available. They underrated the demand this year that's the issue.

Yes they do have a one hour window now. My last delivery from them had a one hour window and they arrived half way up the street in that window.

Nope! They are hopeless this year.

You won't make many friends if you do. I think it's technically possible for them to deal with you before your time slot, but definitely not at 8am. They're going to be insanely busy for that first 30 minutes while they deal with the walk in queue and the first heavily-booked slots.

They'll likely just ask you to wait to the side of the main queues until they get a chance to deal with you

I wouldn't go that early. I think mine was for 9 last year and I got there about 08.40 and they saw me after 5 minutes.

If anyone is struggling to get rid of there old phone and wants to avoid potential hassle with the recyclers, Then Carphone warehouse is a great option. Traded in my 6 16gb yesterday for 225 pounds, no questions asked no hassle, paid directly into my bank account the next day

Update on my 256GB Plus in black. Was showing a delivery date of the 27th of sep to the 29th. Is now showing the 20th of sep to the 22nd of sep.

How do you order to collect? When I try it says "no pick up" at my local store?

There's no more pick-up or iReserve stock for launch day now, but if you're quick on Saturday morning at 6AM you may well be able to get a reservation for the weekend if not sometime next week. That's what the sign on Apple's website said to do if you couldn't reserve the phone you wanted. An exec I spoke to earlier in the week said they were confident people would be able to reserve the phones they wanted next week after the rush of launch day is over.

Also the stores get new stock every morning following launch day.

I've just had my order randomly cancelled by Apple and when I rang to speak with them the couldn't provide a reason and only apologise. I still have my resverstion time tomorrow of 10:15. Do you think it is still worth going down at this time and playing dumb hoping I can still get the iPhone 7?

Just checked my 6S 64GB unlocked and its £350 guaranteed. Might take a trip there straight after I collect my 7+ JB from EE which is next door.

Just in the Apple Store app on the iPhone. Strange you have 26th-3rd, quite a long window. I'm sure it'll be more like the 26th if you're the batch after.
