I think a lot of worker rights are being ignored in the retail sector but it seems to be common practice across the board. Employers know how to play the system in their favuor.
Anyway, I'm actively looking to change jobs. Working in retail was never what I wanted to do in the first place is just a placeholder until I can land a degree-level scientific research job! I'll get there eventually!
I think if this was only happening on a major launch day a few times a year it wouldn't be so bad but it seems to be standard practice.

Ordered a black 32gb plus. Email confirmation through at 8:04.
Initially said I would receive on 25-27th sept, changed within half an hour to the 20-22nd.
One pound charge on my Amex has dissapeared but no other pending transaction from Apple showing.
Anyone else in a similar position?

its fine mate, its a serious point that should be highlighted. I'm a tradesman and luckily we can normally squeeze breaks in but like you sometimes if its a critical shutdown etc then what has to be done, has to be done!

Good morning everyone. Long time lurker for many a pre-order. Distinct lack of plane tracker fun this year which is a shame. I've been in and out of threads trying to pick up bits of info where I can, seems like the 7+ in matte black is the variant we may not see many (if at all) delivered today.
The U.S look to have them being delivered but Europe not so much.
Nice to see the jet blacks catch everyone by surprise with some late movement yesterday.

Good luck with that. I tried for 2 years to get a degree/masters level job in research. In the end I retained as a mental health nurse.

I just used the the tracking number of the apple order page and placed it into the uk mail web page, rather than following the link to the syncreon page.
Well kudos to o2/UK Mail. Was just finishing work when I got a text to expect delivery between 07:37am and 09:37am.

Yeah marine biology is sadly pretty niche in terms of the job market. Way way more graduates than available jobs here in UK so it's ultra competitive! A lot of the jobs rely on government funding of research projects too so its quite limited relative to other industries. But one can only keep swimming! Just keep swimming

I'm getting pangs of regret for not getting the 256GB model. I usually spring for the highest storage model available but I just gotta try to be sensible and keep telling myself that my 128GB iPad Air 2 is treating me fine!
