Slightly off topic, but I must share my story with you of when my original apple watch arrived a few days after launch day in 2015.

My daughter lives in the US and she kindly bought me (pre-ordered etc) for delivery on launch day, it was delayed by a few days but we were in the US for her wedding that she had in her house. For this wedding she had a red carpet up to the big front door on her house (everything is bigger in the US :)), and left it there for a few days.

Anyway at 9am on the delivery day (I think it was a Wednesday),the UPS man came up the drive, I ran out and met him on the Red Carpet and said is this for me?! He looked at me weird (Brit accent I thought), and said why the red carpet. I didn't really hear him, but pointed at the parcel in his hand and said "It's an Apple Watch!". He gave me the parcel and then asked if i minded holding the parcel on the red carpet while he took a picture for the depot! He genuinely believed that we had got a red carpet and laid it out for the arrival of the watch!!!!

Sorry to bore you all, but I thought i'd share :)

Silver 128GB :D

Thanks Peter from DPD, right on time.

Milton Keynes report

Quiet. Just one queue for all and they were seeing walkins for the 4.7 inch. About 10 people in the queue.

No noticeable scalpers. All people in queue were on their iPhones and the staff were saying how it was all apple fans this time.

The upgrade program was taking them longer to get through than the expected 10 minutes due to all people needing a referral. So the queues were a bit behind.

Just back from the store. Not too busy, most people there to do pick ups. The Belfast store only had 7 jet black available on the pre order. Turns out I was the first to pre order one and first to pick it up. Some staff were even envious

Great organisation at Trinity Leeds this morning. :)

No walk in queue at all, they had been turned away. The reservations were organised into the time slot you had been allocated and you showed them your reservation time either email or in your 'wallet'. Even to the point where if you had 2 reservation times (1 for later) they would only let you collect the item for that particular time. A couple of surprised looks from folks at this.
One chap didn't seem too happy as his time was 11.30 and it was 8.20 at the time! he was told if no-one was waiting in an allocated time slot before his he would be allowed in otherwise he would have to wait.
My time slot was 8.30, arrived 8.20, in and being seen at 8.30, out by 8.45 including 2 accessory collections too.

I gave 0843 504 7184 a call. The depot wouldn't let me get beyond the automated options with no chance to get through to an operator.

Despite saying they'd send a cheque, my refund has now appeared in my PayPal account.
I initiated a chargeback on PayPal. Apparently they were having technical difficulties last night... ha

My wifes phone is out for delivery with UK Mail, but I can't see my position on the UK Mail website or an option for a text......am I missing something?
Are you using the tracking from the Apple website or are you on the actually UK Mail website?

I copied the tracking number from the Apple website and popped it into the uk Mail website. It gave me my delivery window and my position in the queue. You can also enter your mobile number so that you can get a text sent when your next in the queue. Although for me the website was behind and my phone turned up about 45 minutes before my your next text arrived but it did turn up in the window.

So, no sapphire at all on the phone...so what is it were actually pay in big bucks for now..?

I'll leave that for another thread ;) haha
Haha thank you'd need one of those diamond testers for checking for sapphire crystal like Lou from unbox therapy did with the watch. Phone looks quite durable though

Nothing yet here. Thought it was too
....I'm dreaming of a black iPhone 7,
.....just like them iPhones of previous years.
.....with the shiny black back,
.....and the space grey beveled edge,
....to hear the DPD driver coming down the road.

Yup! Me. I keep laughing at myself as I feel really disappointed LOL, but you know, it's a "well that's life!" kind of thing... It'll come, eventually. :)

Actual UK Mail website. I remember I had those options last year but don't have them this year for some reason?

Just had notification from DPD to say phone will be delivered between 06:00 and 22:00!! Today but don't hold my breath- so much for 1 hour time slot!.

I'm imagining how cool a JB or Black iPhone with a black wallpaper and next year with iOS 11 Dark Mode would look like *drools*
