There is very little risk as opposed to selling privately. it is also much less time consuming and easier for those with busy lives.

Not only that with eBay/PayPal you might get slightly more for a private sale but once you factor in their fees it's just easier to send it to a recycling company.

Pre-orders will probably go up on the Friday or Saturday. According to a well know leaker, Evan Blass he says the actual release date will be the 16th, but only a week later seems short, if Apple are indeed having supply issues, wouldn't it make more sense for the release to be the 23rd?

I think Apple will take full advantage of Samsung's Note 7 woes.

Now, this could mean a quick release of the 7 next week on the 16th, or, they'll ramp up production to ensure minimal shortages and release the following week (23rd?).

Locked my 6s 64GB into envirophone today. They normally give you 21 days to ship your phone off. plenty of time to source one and decide if it is worth the upgrade.

I'm hoping they bring there upgrade program with them to the UK for the launch as I will definitely jump on that for the iPhone and use the proceeds from the 6S to get the new Apple Watch.

I locked my 6 in yesterday, t&c say price is only valid for 14 days and must be received by the 14th day or price could change. Could still be enough time if release date is 16th. Plan to buy the 7, interested to see if they introduce the upgrade program also

I upgraded my 5 to 6 in the Apple Store and they did a trade in - it was slightly less that envirofone but a lot less hassle.

Just used envirofone a minute ago ... they lock price for 14 days but towards the end they send an option to add another 7 days. I used the code ENVSEPT5 for an extra 5%

Private for me has always been a hassle, especially eBay, would rather lose £50 and send to Envirofone (not a big loss when you consider 10% eBay fee and whatever % PayPal charge).

This is what hits me! I've saved enough for the iPhone 7 Plus thinking I'd be paying the same as I did for 6 Plus.. £699!

I only want 64gb, can't have that so £819 for the 128GB version?!

7+ 128gb for me. No idea on colour yet. Going to try and get on the upgrade plan too - not quite ready to lose my £13 unlimited data on 3 contract and don't have a benevolent company to pay for it this year as per the last two launches.

Looks to be a huge price increase this year. I've had the mid-range storage option for the last 2 years at £619. This year the equivalent is £699 - albeit with bumped storage. Think I'll pass this year.

I thought they'd gone up! Was sure I didn't pay £819 for the mid storage Plus model last time. My eyes nearly popped out of my head haha. I'll still be getting it
