Did this happen to Meadowhall only, or did any other store experience this? Thanks

There was a few immediately on the NOT available list. I believe metro centre never went live either and one of the Glasgow stores maybe. There was approx 4/5 that were straight on 'no reservations'
 
Plenty of phones available this morning for reservation in both sizes and loads of colours except the black finishes in the Plus. As I said a few pages back, black finishes in the Plus size wont be available until Tuesday.

Dude that's not true. I'm telling you on at least 2, but I think 3, I selected the store, selected plus, pressed 128 (because I'm looking for jet black), and black showed up not greyed out

I can confirm that. I wanted a Gold 7+ 128GB from Milton Keynes (which I got) but only the silver 7+ was greyed out. Weird, because @lgladdy's tracker shows that only Gold was available in 7+ at the MK store this morning...

Because I deal with Apple Business and there is a fresh batch arriving.

I honestly think Apple had planned a 23rd launch date which would have meant plenty of stock in all colours and sizes, but pulled it a week earlier to gain an advantage over Samsung and the Note 7 saga. Nothing wrong about this either, just a good business tactic to gain extra sales. And IMO this move did work.

By the end of next week, most of us will have the phone we wanted.

I managed to reserve a gold plus 256gb at mk! But I so wanted the black...now I'm fed of all the crap surrounding Jet black and black, people who've got gold...what do you say? Go for it or not!
 
Same issues with Apple pay yesterday, same status this morning.

Needless to say, I too am worried.

It's pretty annoying, I appreciated they said "Hey, no JB on release day."

But they really needed to say "Also no black pluses of any kind on release day."

I got my order in within seconds, yet feels like i'm last of the queue. Even JB phones have been dispatched.

All I will say is everybody feel free to submit feedback to apple about this ****ing shambles.

I have and the more the merrier because if this is the direction they are heading in, it'll be without me!

Why is it a shambles ? Just because YOU can't get the iPhone you want ?

Honestly I would just wait for the one you want, it might take another week or two or maybe even a month for Apple to catch up to demand and waiting sucks but at least you won't regret it in a couple of months when the novelty of having a new phone wears off.

I was starting to doubt myself with people disagreeing with me and stating 'facts'.

Just goes to show that although the tracker is a great tool, it's not 100%. I knew there was matte black available :)
 
Because Im stupid I didn't check opening timings for Meadowhall before I headed there so I'm here now and was offered this bit of info by both security and the store manager whom I spoke with (through the shutters of course)

Demand was insane yesterday, 100+ walk ins were turned away. Reason why there weren't any reservations for Meadowhall this morning was simply due the demand yesterday and they're sorta "catching up" on reservations for yesterday.

Reservations for Meadowhall will go live again at 6am tomorrow.

Yes ... but many of those are too impatient to wait for their delivery date even though it's only a few days away and others just can't find what they want at the store they want .... many like petulant children wanting everything NOW ! This forum is a very small representation of Apple customers and an even smaller representation of happy customers, many just come here to moan.

Just because you or a few others can't get your phone doesn't make it a shambles !

And before you ask .... no I haven't got mine yet either. :)
 
If I order a nike watch using the app and pay with apple pay does it only take the money when they are dispatched? Do I need the full money in my account now?
 
Update on my end.

I just got an email from Apple, confirming my change of payment.

I assume although I did it yesterday at like 5:00, their systems haven't even registered it until now.
So fingers crossed in the next couple of hours it tries to re-attempt payment...
