I didn't want to wait for an Apple Pay issue... I called up this morning and just changed from Apple Pay to my debit card directly, don't want another reason to hold up my delivery :)

Took an hour and 3 different departments to ge this done over the phone, so fingers crossed it's actually worked!

Apple pay has been a nightmare for me with lloyds bank. I'm worried it'll cause a delay after my apple pay attempt was declined. Phoned up apple and they changed payment method to my card, but couldn't tell me if my order would be delayed or when they would actually take payment. Frustrating.

How do you know when you have "an Apple Pay issue" when ordering direct from Apple for delivery & the phone isn't yet due? - people seem to be a bit spooked about it, I'm perhaps naive assuming it's ok unless they've called / emailed?

Hope a MacBook Air upgrade, but I hope they do it properly. None of this single USB-C port nonsense like the 12" thing they did. I like my 11" Air, truly all day battery life... almost never take a power adapter with me if I'm just out for the day at customers sites... charge my phone/ipad in the car so i don't need to drain power from the laptop and I'm all good.

Battery on my MacBook Air lasts a whole week. Even back when I was a student it used to do me well for a week. Never have I charged it during the week. I barely use it now because the screen is so small. It's so fast compared the my iMac.

I'm hoping they update the iMac with better hard drives and graphics. Mines due an upgrade as it's a bit slow at the moment...

Others with models more widely available had issues earlier in the week.

I got an email saying there was an issue paying for my watch last Sunday. My bank said there's no issue and then Apple said, oh there's no issue now with no explanation.

Quite a few iPhone 7's (not plus) available for pick up to tomorrow from a few stores Aberdeen, Edinburgh etc

Looks like stock is now entering stores

If they are in the country then surely most of the 20-22nd people should in fact get them on Monday 19th? Or is that wishful thinking?

Wishful thinking, I think they will be sent to various local distribution centres on Monday and then shipped, for delivery on 20th/21st.

This. I have a source that can confirm they are already in the UK.

I hope that's true - I'm sure that stuff is being moved around in the background constantly, it just doesn't look like anything is happening from the limited front end view.

My preorder originally said ships 6-8 business days / delivers 27-29 Sept so that batch should've been due to leave China somewhere between last Friday and next Wednesday ish, for delivery the week after. Somehow they've moved that up a week.

Modern logistics are incredible, I couldn't believe how quickly my 6 got here & a recent pair of Nikes made it door-to-door in about 24 hours too. Can't get my head around it, I suppose they must have economies of scale & pretty good buying power to commandeer planes & trucks etc ...

I hope your right but is it a reliable source?

It very much is a reliable source, I have nothing to gain from making it up, especially since I'm still waiting for mine in the window of 20th-22nd! Nonetheless, it's completely irrelevant. The delivery windows are there for a reason and Apple is very good at sticking to their expected delivery dates (usually delivering earlier, but never later). Wherever they're coming from, we'll get it between 20th and 22nd if we're in that boat :)

How do you find this out?

The reservations page says come back at 6am

If you use a postcode in Dundee for example you'll get all the available stores with iPhone 7's available for pick up tomorrow...there's quite a few

Just go normal into the iPhone section and choose your phone, colour and storage, you'll the see 'pick up tomorrow' where normally it would say unavailable

We'll never truly appreciate or even able to comprehend the complexity of such grand logistics. There's no doubt that teams are working round the clock during this time of the year for Apple, but the sheer number of people in all of the countries making it happen will probably shock all of us.

Agreed - we might not always like the dates we're given but my experience has always been that they're pretty accurate & often improve. I've never had one slip <touches wood>

Awesome news! Who's the source? If you don't mind me asking?..

Anything is possible, only Apple and their partners know their plan :)
[doublepost=1474153164][/doublepost]Does anyone else like it when the phone comes all the way from China with tracking? I just find it so interesting to watch the journey! maybe just me :D
