When you arrive in store, your reservation says it's for the "Upgrade Program" but say to them you would like to pay it out right. They take you to a seperate queue and the reservation code will work just the same even though on the email and Apple Store app, it states the reservation is for the "Upgrade Program", hope this helps

It does, but people will still ask again tomorrow.

You can take iPhone shipped to you to the store and refund it and then ask them to get it via the upgrade programme, an Apple rep confirmed this was possible as long as the box is unopened.

That's cool! Who told you that? I've got my JB 7+ arriving 4-10th October (hopefully a little earlier), but am keen to pay for it over the iPhone Upgrade Programme.

To be honest, each to their own with their needs and preferences. I am going for the iUP as it's easier for me all round.

Yeah, out of interest if you don't mind me asking why have you chosen the IUP? What made you choose it over other methods of getting the phone?

.....I'll just re-post this pic from yesterday, for all you guys and gals, still waiting for your *shiny* Jet Black iPhone 7 and 7 Plus iPhones:

I'm planning on going through the IUP, reasons are:

I consider AppleCare+ a nobrainer.
I've not had a Plus model previously and it means I can trade it in in 11 months if I really don't like it
I normally upgrade on 2 year cycles but iPhone 8 is meant to be a big jump and is likely to happen next year, not in 2 years.
The O2 pricing is rubbish this time (the phone is priced £80 more than the RRP) and the airtime has all gone up as well.
Selling the phone myself would be a pain and you never know how much you'll get or if you'll have problems.

I didn't want to go with a contract with a network, as none do all you can eat data, I have a sim only plan with three, £10 for first 6 months, then £20 thereafter, unlimited data and they have the best signal for where I go. I don't have the funds for a full upfront purchase, as just had some things to pay off. Plus it should be less hassle than selling the phone on eBay each year, after the hassle I had last year. Plus Apple Care.

The display ones will be much dirtier than mine... Those ones in store have all sorts of people with disgusting unwashed hands touching them :D

LOL - so obvious you really wanted Jet, but ended up with matte......

I picked up my phone yesterday (128gb 7+ Black), and paid using the IUP. What's your general thoughts on the IUP? I'm not sure whether to return and buy outright on interest free credit card or stick with IUP....

IUP is a bit more expensive but more convenient, depends what you value more.

It's killing me seeing jet black 7 128 available in Plymouth. 5 hours away by train from Manchester

Do I want to be using the uograde program reservation link or the buy it link and collect in store? Which one is the script indicating stock? Thanks
