Well reserved a 7 128gb black at the Solihull apple store, got there a bit late and asked if the had any 7+ models available. Low and behold i walked out with a 256gb 7+ Black. Guy in the store reckons this is what would have gone on the reservation list tomorrow... I am so happy, the Matte black looks awesome.
That is correct! So 21 payments in total if you don't upgrade half way through

This was part of the reasoning. Also while I really liked the JB originally, the more I see of it the more I prefer the matte version.Saw a few notifications through the day for them so likely to be easier to get

I was in Covent Garden earlier today and yes it was busy, but they were massively understaffed and I received the most appalling service ever - and guess what, when I asked to see the manager, he WAS the manager!

The screen protector is one of the thing I don't want to use. The screen on the JB is so glorious as it curves into the body I just loved the feel of the one I tried in store yesterday. What with Apple Care, I presume any screen issues are nothing to worry about.

Ah. For online order pickups, do I pay online at the time of order, or use my card when arriving at the store? It seems I can't pay for stuff online, which was why my original order was lost.
Right now I have two options:
- Try and somehow find an iPhone 7 in the duty free stores before departure
- Order online for pickup in any of the Apple Stores along the way between arriving at the airport and home
Just been to Norwich to pick up my reservation of a black 256gb plus. I was an hour early but they let me have it then, was in and out in 5 minutes. Did the upgrade program. Just cancelled my online order. Now to trade my 6S plus with someone! On way back home for a fiddle with it.
Back home now with my 256GB matte black. It said 1 Hour to restore from iCloud backup then said unable to connect with the server. Now trying again and it says 2 hours! Any one else had this?
Am I missing something? The pushbullet notification tells me there is stock at the bentall centre, but when I hit pickup on the order in my bag it says "unavailable".
Am I doing something wrong?
My apps aren't downloading when I restore, it's said 'Waiting' for all of them for the past 2 hours?
If you just 'Pause' and unpause a few or all of them, this seems to 'restart' the server connection and get things moving again.
I'm not sure what happens with the apps. Mine said it was all synced but the apps were blank for hours after (lots of them!). I found that when I just left it they all settled and appeared fine. Makes the phone run hot though and uses a ton of battery!
How does this work? If we have 3 hours to collect the phone from the reservation start time...In this case if you were to reserve an iPhone at 15:30-15:45, I would have till 18:30 to collect. But what if the store you reserved at closes at 6pm?

I refunded my JB Plus at JL today!
That's because all us guys don't want to post on here making the waiting crowd mad!This thread is getting more and more quiet.
Hopefully only a few more weeks left then all models should be available everywhere.

Should be perfectly fine, I imagine the requirements won't be exceptionally high since they want to get as many people as they can on the programme, especially since it is the first year in the UK.
As for Pushbullet notifications not arriving not too sure, works fine here, although granted i was using android to receive my notification. Just tested on my iphone though and after logging in with google, i went to https://www.pushbullet.com/#devices and could not see the iphone listed in devices (wasnt receiving test messages like some of you) - so on pushbullet app, went to settings and then signed out and signed back in. Refreshed the device page and could now see the iphone. After this i then went to https://www.pushbullet.com/#people and chose the iPhone and put a test message which was received instantly. Hopefully following these steps can sort it out for some of you.
As for the unreliable push notifications saying stock available, am fairly certain its because of the a mistake with the code, its alerting whenever it sees a models status as not equal to NONE. NONE seems to indicate there is no stock, UNLOCKED seems to indicate ??? - these models dont show up on the reserve and collect and i suspect they are the ones causing you to be notified of stock that isnt there. ALL seems to indicate that the model is available to purchased via all available methods (pay upfront and collect, reserve and collect, whatever else...).
What you need todo is change the following in the code, search for:
!= 'NONE'
replace it with
== 'ALL'
or just use: http://pastebin.com/raw/TAi79uJX
updating the configuration to what you want.
Did you open and use it?
Yes, had a yellow screen and dust under the camera lens. Full refund credited back, though I didn't mention the issues. Just take the card in your originally paid with.
