Same on both counts.
Got mine today, fully restored now, very happy so far.
Quick tip for those restoring which may not be the case any more;
-the phone came with 10.0.0. My backup was 10.0.1.
-I chose setup new, updated to 10.0.1, then reset to factory settings
-THEN I restored my 10.0.1 backup.
May not be an issue anymore, but in the past I've had a few failed restores due to new iPhone or iPad being on earlier firmware than the backup I'm about to restore. The above process elimates the problem*.
*which may no longer exist
So far, I love the better speakers, the matte black and the display. Big fan of locally stored music and having 256gb means I can have tonnes and still oodles of space for photos/videos. Will have a proper play with the camera outside tomorrow no doubt. New home button doesn't seem worse to me, simply different.
Anyway, I'm likely done with this thread, good luck to all still seeking and waiting!

I switched with the 6Plus .. it took about a week to get used to although using it as a phone where people could see me I still HATE!! For me though the phone part of it is far less important than the rest of it!
Couldn't get IUP due to Student status. There'll be a 7 Plus 32GB Black available at Highcross soon.

It's not discrimination, it's the rules they've set out. Less than 18 hours a week suggest you don't have the means to pay it back. It's just how they've decided to set some base rules. Finance stuff whilst a student is always a bit weird if you're unemployed.
If you have the money just buy it outright. You get an awesome interest free overdraft and access to credit cards with 0% too, I'm still milking my benefits 2 years after graduation.

I think it is a personal thing. I had a 6+ .....lovely screen and easy to view. But I found it too big to fit in my jeans pockets or coat pockets.
I have downsized to a regular 7 and do not find I notice the difference in screen size and it is so much more portable. Also easier to hold

I have gone up from a 6s to a 7+ but due to problems backing up my 6s I have not really started using properly. First impressions are that I really like the larger screen. Watched some videos and it looks great. I didn't want a standard size this year as I want the better camera. To be honest I might not have upgraded if it weren't for the improved camera and a desire for a larger screen and keyboard.

Just got a refund for my Apple care+ that i took out for my iPhone 6s+ last year. I paid £109 and just got a refund of £54. The amount varies depending on how long you have left plus any claims you may have made.
I had 12 months left and 0 claims.
The guy i spoke with had the best customer service skills I've seen in a long time.

Nothing I can do. I do not have £700 I can spend all at once on a phone.

Went in before i returned my 265gb Gold Plus and they offered £960 but couldn't give me cash
On the wall they where giving £1010 for Jet Black 256 Plus

Upfront payment is always £49 regardless of iPhone model / capacity.
Monthly payments for iPhone 7 Plus 256GB are £49.45 x 20 months
iPhone Upgrade Program is always equal to upfront iPhone + AppleCare purchase cost over the full 20 month term

I also got a refund for £55.25. It's gonna take 2 weeks though. Almost like going back to the Stone Age. I also had 12 months and no claims.
Got my 256gb Gold plus swapped for a 256gb Matte Black Plus at Metrocentre today! Managed to reserve one this afternoon and went in.
Spoke to my mate and he said the reserve in store option via the app/online store will only charge you up front if there is not enough staff working to physically deal with you. A collection can take all of 5 mins where a sale can be at least 20mins.

We did the credit check anyway but that was more my doing. He said the minute I asked about being a student that there was little chance it would go through. But I did it anyway and it failed saying I didn't meet the minimum requirements. No idea what that's done to my credit score.
