np, if i get bored later ill knock a primitive one up that notifies on stock of stores locally. seems it has to be pay upfront and collect @ store though as no reserve & collect/pay like for the iphone.

I used your link and found the AW2 available to pick up today! Only problem is I am going into London tomorrow. I've paid anyway, does anyone know if you can delay pickup by one day if you've paid?

I'm on the phone to customer services right now to check but you guys might be faster at helping me than Apple at present!

Haven't posted in a while but just getting really frustrated regarding this whole experience.

Ordered 7+ 128GB JB as fast as I could when the app went live and received a confirmation e-mail at 08.04am with a delivery of Oct 4-10.

Now I am frantically trying to capture a JB or MB every morning at 6am this week only to fail at the last hurdle when I try to reserve stock (by the way, how many cases of JB+ reservations have there been in Scotland - I've only heard of one so far?).

It now seems a complete lottery as and when stock becomes available to reserve and, unless I sit at a computer all day refreshing constantly, I'm always going to miss out. I can't even get the script to work on my Mac as I keep getting a syntax error when I try to run it. Sigh...

I have to be honest and say this has left me with a really sour taste. Even if Apple could assure there would only be stock released at a more reasonable time in the morning (say 8am), I wouldn't be left feeling tired at work every day all in the name of a new phone! Yes, I am pathetic, lol!

Likewise, 7+ 128gb in matte black, still stuck on 4th-10th Oct yet was ordered within 20 minutes of apple store becoming available. After years of pre-ordering this is definitely the longest and hardest wait I've ever had also, I thought I'd be ok with it but it's beginning to bother me!
I think 'Pauliet' is right, can't see anything changing until next week at the earliest now.

Feel Apple have really dropped the ball on this year. What with the app going down for almost 15 minutes which I've never had before even on previous launch days.

I finally have my 128gb+ black! I had an online order that was due for delivery 5-11 October but managed to reserve one online last night to collect today.

Stock comes online at 10pm to be reserved and collected the following day. I paid upfront, but when I went in store they asked if I would rather switch to the IUP.

The 6am reserve system seems a lottery and there appears to be more stock available at 10pm. Give it a try tonight and you might get lucky!

Did you pay on your card when reserving last night at 10pm?
 
What I did notice last night was that I stuck in the phones I wanted into the basket and then clicked the pickup and pasted in the store postcode that I wanted sometime after 9pm.

What I noticed was that if I kept hitting search, the store would often pop up with the "Select" button for the store but in the list would show "Unavailable". I could select the store and it would go into my cart - but would show as pickup unavailable. I assume this is a glitch as they add stock into the site.

Just after 10pm I hit search again, but this time the list showed "Available", I hit select and then just kept clicking next all the way to the end of the order.

I assume that if you do this for the phone you are after this evening, that if it's not going to be available then you won't see the glitch.

It does however give you a bit of a head start. Once you have it in your cart with the store (even if the checkout page says unavailable) then you can keep Cmd-R'ing (or F5'ing for our windows friends) until it shows as available for pickup.

Ovinetim makes a good point.. there was a significant amount of stock that came online last night (I snared a black+ 256g but decided to wait for my JB). Might be a trend worth checking this evening... likely post 10pm.
Again as Ovinetim says, if you buy outright there seems to be a trend in being able to switch to the upgrade programme should you wish.

Just managed to speak to apple by phone ...... if it's for an outright purchase apparently the phone is kept for 20 days for collection. :)

Yeah, was going to say I don't think it's been just been pre-authorized but that they've actually taken payment.
 
I've read on here that the stores hold your reservation open for 3 hours after your allocated time slot, is this a standard procedure across all stores? Anyone turned up say 2 hours late and not been able to collect ?

The app didn't go down, but it appears that Apple limited connections so some people were able to get in on schedule and some people didn't get in for ages, I was the latter :(

Have you tried checking in the evening around 10pm? The iUP option is closed until 6am, however, you can still order the handset and collect in store. If you are looking to use iUP they are able to cancel your order and process the handset via iUP. I ordered a MB+ on Tuesday night and paid for it online and collected in store the following day. I never wanted to use iUP but it was offered in the store. I picked it up from Buchanan Street.
 
The stock you are seeing for reserve and pick up is stock that has been reserved and not collected. It's a tiny number of phones.

10pm - use the app - pay up front to collect and then get it refunded and use iUP

Anyone still waiting and concerned about the reports of screen yellowing, dim brightness or hissing - I got my 7 128GB Blk this morning and it is absolutely perfect. I hope yours turn out that way too!
