I received mine 3 days ago. H'issing during video playback (perfectly silent when using EarPods). So I have a fault. Absolutely no-one at Apple has been helpful at all. I'm having to wait 3 weeks for a replacement. Worst service I've experienced from Apple so far. What's actually more upsetting than the phone being a dud is that no-one in central London are able to help me with a replacement and instead I'm trying to reserve my replacement with 9 times being pipped at the final hurdle via Covent Garden reserve.

Just been in touch with carphone warehouse and apparently mine is coming at the end of this week as i was one of the first orders they've got allot of them in apparently, yay !!! I first ordered the 128GB Jet black at 12:16 on Friday 9th September and then on last tuesday i changed it to the Matte Black due to order delays to November, so i'm over the moon that mine is coming this week, i should hear something either tomorrow or thursday :)
Any update from Carphone?

Has sat in a warehouse one mile away from my house all day to be delivered tomorrow. Do you think I could turn up and ask someone to fetch it?

If you have yellowing on the screen, turn off auto lock, put the brightness up full, leave it plugged in overnight in a sock.

The heat etc will cure the glue and will probably improve it a lot. Had this on my 6.

Has anyone else seen processing items for two weeks?

Yes, and so has every single other person in the 2-3 week bracket for Pluses.

even if you return a sealed iphone to the apple store - they will still open it up in front of you to confirm its inside!
They don't do that in front of you anymore. It's done back of house without the customer knowing. :)

In the London stores (at ;east), the items you return must never leave your sight. Staff are explicitly told that.

I didn't mean the customer had to wait :) . The return is initiated, and the customer is given a receipt and they can leave. The phone goes back to the store room where it will be opened and checked at some point - usually a day or so at busy times - and once everything checks out the refund is issued.

If dodgy antics are afoot Apple won't issue the refund.

Open box items are still checked there and then.

I appreciate there's a lot of people waiting in line for the in-demand models but IMHO if you're experiencing a fault you, by rights, should be given priority.

That's shocking.

To clarify did you visit Apple with a Genius appointment?

Genius replacements are normally 3-5 days at worst.

I ordered mine from Apple before 9am on launch day. It says the phone will be delivered between 4th-10th Oct. Does anyone know when they are shipping or has anyone who purchased from Apple had theirs sent ?

Cheers :)

The app didn't go down, but it appears that Apple limited connections so some people were able to get in on schedule and some people didn't get in for ages, I was the latter :(

That was me as well in the latter group. Badly handled all round really.

I've been told 26th for an appointment but thats with no guarantee there will be replacement stock. I paid £919 upfront for my personal phone and also bought 2 for close family. Mine typically seems to be the faulty one. I'm just very unimpressed, considering I'm looking to drop another £2k+ next month if the rumors are to be true about MacBooks...

Been told different things by several employees at my local Apple Store.

One guy told me to keep checking the website.
One guy told me that online orders get priority and that I should order now if I want one before Xmas!
One guy told me he doesn't get told when they get deliveries.

Seems like they have no clue.

Oh and I'm after a JB+

Anyone recommend a good case for the iPhone 7 +. Got a TPU one off eBay and it's *****!

Spigen thin case on Amazon
[doublepost=1474556924][/doublepost]Just snagged a JB iphone 7 128gb at Covent garden for store pick up. It came on at 2pm

I know another voice is useless for you, but if you're polite and firm enough you can speak to a manager, and get them to order you a replacement before the appointment, so that the 3-5 days starts today rather than the 26th. But the least stressful way is definitely to live with the hissing and just go in on the 26th and then wait. :)

Haha I think I'm probably to polite for my own good :)
