So what is the total cost of the IUP for a 32gb 7 Plus - If I was to pay in full upfront? I'm new to this and still not sure. Thanks

Got back in touch with carphone warehouse as i was going to upgrade my delivery so it came on saturday rather than monday and now i don't know what to believe i've still heard nothing and i've been told about 4 different dates today one person said 30th september, another said 7th october, another said 21st october and then the 23rd September i was told the other day i'm really gutted and i've said they've got until October 10th to get it to me or i'm cancelling it.

Cheaper in the long run, usually get it on contract but not this time.

Why does it say £39.45 on the reservations page for a 7 plus 32gb?
£39.45 x 20 =£789?
If its on finance I assume you pay a bit extra for the loan.

I didn't mean the customer had to wait :) . The return is initiated, and the customer is given a receipt and they can leave. The phone goes back to the store room where it will be opened and checked at some point - usually a day or so at busy times - and once everything checks out the refund is issued.

If dodgy antics are afoot Apple won't issue the refund.

Open box items are still checked there and then.

Sorry -that doesn't make much sense. Up until recently, only store bought items could be returned to the a store. In the majority of cases, those purchases were made either by cash or card. Therefore the refund must be issued BEFORE the customer leaves the shop. I am speaking from experience here!

Think about it - If u paid cash, - u want cash back immediately!

Yes, this is for online orders and non-cash purchases.

That sounds pretty awful. Are you buying on contract or outright?

In terms of the 14 days returns period I just popped onto live Apple chat to check that it is okay to return/exchange twice?
I am about to return a gold for a (matte) black but if a JB+ come into stock in the next couple of weeks comes in then I'll be tempted to swap again!

Was told that 'technically' it can be done!! Which was probably the adviser being a bit bit judgemental lol!!

Am going to have a good look at the JB non plus display model when I go into store tonight to decide what I prefer. When I picked the Gold up on launch day I couldn't barely get near it for a look. Cant get on with the gold but I imagine the black will be fine particularly since it will have a case on it.

But just hard to get the JB+ out of of my head!!

Helped quite a few people get their phones reserved for in stock pick up yesterday night, hopefully some karma kicks in and I manage to reserve a 128gb matte plus for the upgrade program...
The hero we don't deserve :)
Hopefully you will get your new phone soon!

Glad you've got it in the end and some interesting insight. Quite a lot of stock at Edinburgh just now. On another note, how was the Glasgow store looking? I've not been in since the refurbishment.

It's nice, but there's way less space than the old store. They've removed the glass staircase & the entirety of the 1st floor. So, just 1 floor, with all the products, accessories & about 6 tables reserved for the genius bar. It was very busy & rather cramped when I went in. I have to say, other than the wood, which is nice, I much prefer the older store!

Luckily i'm across Edinburgh way, so Princes St is my local - I know a few of the staff by now, they're all rather decent. No complaints, yet! (And a much nicer store to boot!)

Both the iUP and iPP loans are interest free credit (subject to status).

If you go ahead with PayPal or Barclays Partner Finance the interest rate is usually 14.9%.

I'm a white iDevice person so I went with the white/silver 7 Plus. I looked at the matt black and was seriously tempted. I think the JB is too impractical unless you want to go caseless and get scratches/fingerprints all over it. If you are going to put it in a case then no point in the JB just get the matt, and in my view if you stick the JB in a case any crap that gets between the case and back of the JB will scratch it to feck

Hi guys - well hasn't this thread just blown up!

I just wanted to chime back in and say firstly THANK YOU to the people detailing their experiences with trading in a Carphone Warehouse. And secondly to others thinking of going it - DO IT! Especially if you don't have a perfect phone.

CEX are doing £225 for a Grade B iPhone 6 64GB Unlocked, which is basically the price they pay if you have anything wrong with the phone that makes it not look brand new. Also they don't require the charger like CEX do.

CPW did me £240 as per their website and after a very quick inspection the deed was done.

So much less hassle than dealing with eBay.

I've read on here that the stores hold your reservation open for 3 hours after your allocated time slot, is this a standard procedure across all stores? Anyone turned up say 2 hours late and not been able to collect ?
Guess we'll be finding out the result pretty soon. My paid pickup is 16:45-17:00, I was originally scheduled to arrive at 16:30 but my flight got delayed and then the subsequent coach was also delayed. On my way now and will most likely be 2 hours late. Will report back with results.

I'm just at the station to get the train to Wimbledon and then Kingston. Wife is running late, so will meet here in Kingston after I have the phones!

Soon!

Does anyone know what Game or CPW will pay for a 128GB Silver iPhone 6? Do they need the box/accessories?

Thanks!

For anyone who is aware of my situation, my new credit card has arrived.

Now I just need to get my hands on the bloody thing!

0% spending card? If so, me and the wife are doing the exact same thing. Buy them outright, pay off any money we get from our old phones and then pay off the rest over the next 12 months.

CPW will pay £265 until 30th September. Providing you have bought a new or upgraded iPhone from them. No accessories needed.

iPhone 7 Plus 256GB picked up from UPS Access Point today.
