iPhone 7/7+ - UK Orders & Dispatches Thread

Has anyone in the DHL group shipment seen any update this morning? Doesn't seem like anything has changed in mine...

As a side note - do we all have the same tracking number at this stage? (Ends 210 for me) Presume it's a pallet of phones - just wondering if the tracking ID will update when it hits the UK and gets split into the individual orders...

Mine was dispatched on Saturday now stuck in Amsterdam as well as DHL says it arrived in Amsterdam yesterday but still no change in the tracking status since Saturday my tracking number ends (213) it all seems to be a large pallet of iPhones as on DHL Global forwarding tracking Page it indicates as weighing 210 kg
 
Managed to reserve a Black iPhone 7 126 GB this morning in Bath, get down there 15 minutes later and it turns out it had only been on the system very briefly for a return.
Offered the 256 GB and a free leather case, so I took it.

Reservation doesn't always mean reservation!
Anyone in need of a black leather iPhone 7 case bit of a discount?

Yes could well be. Before the keynote I wasn't particularly bothered re upgrading this year until I heard re the + camera though I was starting to feel the need to move to a plus model. I really like the 7+ so far and it does feel a decent change from my 6s.

I notice no extra speed improvement and save for a few extra new features (force touch, live photos, live wallpapers), the phone is exactly the same.

Agreed! coming from the 6s plus - the only change for me is the colour and the new home button. speakers marginally better...

but speed, battery and screen all appear EXACTLY the same to me....

I always upgrade each year. the massive price jump was the big problem this time around..

...also received a Midnight Blue Apple leather case but have to actually say, that, personally, it doesn't seem to look as nice as I thought it would (I also had a Midnight Blue Apple Leather case on my space grey iPhone 6, and that looked really good).

The dark colour of the matte black iPhone 7 makes the Midnight Blue leather case look a little mis-matched, like the colours don't really go together.

Might have to get the Black leather case instead.

I know what you mean. I have been so indecisive re the leather cases and what colour to go for. I ordered the tan but immediately swapped for grey when I was in store as all the tan were so scratched. I love grey and though it would match my Joli macbook sleeve but it looked a bit drab. (NB I had a gold 7+ at this point). Switched the grey for red when I picked up the (matte) black 7+ but it felt to bright when I got home and opened. I also worried the red would get dirty very quickly so swapped it again for the midnight blue on Friday. (I had a midnight blue silicone case on my space grey 6s and liked so I thought I would be happy with the shade in leather.)

So I had the midnight blue on my phone in the house on Friday evening and Saturday morning. Despite barely touching it seems to be covered in scratches. Just rubbing my finger never mind my finger nail seems to leave a mark. It is the most 'fragile' leather case I have ever had!! I never used the other cases just tried them on my phone.

I think the saddle brown would be a good choice and would look okay a bit battered and scratched but am not going back to change now!

I've actually taken off and am using a JETech from Amazon that I got a for about a £1 using a code posted way earlier in this thread.

That's made me think, I was planning on the Midnight blue for my Matt Black. I've currently got the Spigen Matt Black close fit case on and it looks v sleek. Still attracts finger prints like...

Further to this, CPw are trying to tell me that they classed it unknown as all phones lock to the network of the first SIM card used. I said not true, as it was bought from Apple and they tried telling me I was wrong!!! Just because they don't want to give me the full £390!!!!
