Well that's disappointing! Tracking by reference gives the above info in the Netherlands, tracking by 6 digit tracking number give a flight from China not due to leave until Sunday!
Whilst I'm happy it has "shipped" it's not really shipping for days!
Mine is showing that it is leaving China tomorrow morning and its destination is Amsterdam. It is expected to arrive there tomorrow evening.

Oh wow, guy rang me up from John Lewis, confirming my order for arrival tomorrow after I paid for next day delivery. Just checked my order status, to find its on back order.... I think I can feel my own blood boiling.

Ouch! That really sucks. If you can live with it then keep it I guess. I couldn't. I'd get in touch with Apple and see what they can do.
Its a bit of a catch 22, I am assuming they won't have stock to swap out so will have to wait for weeks unless I can pick one up in a store. Hard to decide if I can live with it, chances are will pick up a scratch sooner rather than later but it's quite obvious when the light catches it.
Haven't tried to turn it on so not sure what it looks like with the screen on. Has anyone else had similar issues?

Another victim of John Lewis's unacceptably crap inventory system!
Their website and backend was made for selling curtains, not rapid-selling items like iPhones. Their stock level indicator can't even keep track (and thus accepts more orders than there is stock) and it's pathetic that they can put an authorisation on your card and it still not be good enough to reserve a unit of stock.
Mine is showing processing with a status of "due for delivery 29th Sept". I did click and collect.

Your status should be "Complete" on that checker if all is in order.
Successful click and collect orders will update to "Despatched" in the My Account log-in area - not the link above - at the stroke of midnight.
Thanks for the tip. Just checked on there and it is showing as "complete" so fingers crossed for delivery tomorrow.
7th october delivery date coming here tomorrow 128GB 7+ MB. The wait is finally coming to an end! Huzzah!!
My 128 MB Plus had a scratch on the screen too. Returned it for a replacement to discover I was put back into the queue again. Not happy. Picked up a 32GB Plus in MB locally and have moved my content to Google Photos. This replacement has a couple of small screen marks. Usual terrible QC from Apple.
Ahh, yeah mine said that for most of the day. Was expecting it to dispatch, nearly fell off my chair when I saw backorder.
Think I'd get in touch with them .. I'd like to think they'll let you keep it until a new one arrives. They've done that with someone else on here and they're giving me an extra week to return mine. Their customer service does seem to be good, definitely worth a try.
I'm really hoping that mine doesn't stay in China until Sunday! According to DHL that's what it's saying the flight day is!

We are most deffinately not on that flight it's due to leave in 1hr. My tracking hasn't moved and the next flight is Sunday. So looks like we have more of a wait in store for us!
