I Pre-ordered online this morning for the Apple store pick up,It asked for my card details.Will I be charged when I pick it up or sometime before hand?
Cancelled all my orders so someone will now get my slot of launch day boo hoo

Thing is, they're a certified Apple Reseller. If they screwed up that badly with iPhones they'd have that title removed pretty darn quickly.
First year since the 3GS that I haven't upgraded on launch. Had the window open on the Apple Store checkout and also on the Vodafone checkout - both with a (6s Plus 64 GB - replacing) black 7 Plus 128 GB, ready to choose one and hit 'Buy'.
I couldn't do it. For me the speed and camera bump just don't warrant losing 50% of the value of my pristine, 11 month old 6s Plus AND having to shell out £800 to get me virtually back to where I am right now. Too much for too little this year, Mr Cook.
We're a totally Apple household and I would have been a cert to upgrade normally. I hope 2017 brings some fresh ideas and more realistic pricing, even by Apple's standards.
That said, I hope everyone here gets what they want and enjoys their new iPhones. See you in 12 months!

So what would happen if you purchased from a third party and had scuffs or dead pixels out of the box?
Very for the Jet Black Plus now has a shipping date of 7th November. I guess more people are noticing they're selling the iPhones now haha
Thing is Very are a retailer like any other, authorised to sell Apple products. Could be wrong but im faily confident that they will deliver by dates when ordered. Simple reason they may be able to deliver the jet black models before Apple is simply because not many people would think to check Very. Im guessing they only had limited stocks because the dates are now being put back to November.
I purchased my iPhone 6S from John Lewis unlocked and I've had no issue switching between carriers.
So I don't think it does lock to the first network.
Good job on your preorders guys. I'll be playing the apple store reserve and collect game instead. Iirc their website stock updates at 3:30am for in store collections, but been a couple years since using doing this so hopefully I remember correctly.
Ordered from Very for a 128GB Jet Black 7+ when it said delivery for 17th September. Went into my orders and it said 7th November for delivery :O
Ok Very ordered has been placed for the 7 plus, Glad to hear those who bought from John Lewis last year were fully unlocked, no matter of switching networks gives me hope for this order from Very

so i can still go to a store on launch day and get what i want on the apple deal? just a mixed chance that i wont?
Of course I can. I compare them based on price, and I expect if Apple are going to go into the wireless sector, for them to come up with the tech to provide a lot more than 4 hours of music. Theres a reason why earphones are generally less expensive than headphones and that's because the tech crammed into headphones can be more sophisticated. charging us more for wireless earphones than conventional wireless headphones is plain extortion, even at 169$ let alone £. The technology in the airpods is nothing extremely groundbreaking and I can guarantee you that the sound will be average at best.
Just spoke to very online chat , they said that the item will be delivered on 16/09!
Fingers crossed it does

Got the dates of 27-29th Sep
Just got an email from Very.co.uk that said Pre-Order iPhone 7 now !
I ordered the same phone with them on 12months BUY NOW PAY LATER interest free , delivery date 16/09
Will cancel the Apple order in a few days

I pre-ordered directly through Apple and used PayPal Credit to fund my phone. No up front fees, just £30 a month for the next 24 months until it is payed off.
Thats exactly what I did - pre-ordered with Apple (delivery between 26th - 28th Sept) with a £30 a month PayPal Credit option + a SIM only deal from EE which was £20 a month for 8gb and unlimited texts and calls which totals £50 a month altogether (which is actually slightly cheaper than what I was paying on O2 per month, for my 2 year iPhone 6 contract).
I also ordered a genuine Midnight Blue iPhone 7 leather case as well. Now just need to s decent tempered glass screen protector as well, and I'm sorted!
