iPhone 7/7+ - UK Orders & Dispatches Thread

Sometimes it's okay just to say 'nah', and next year I might break my rule if the next one is as special as rumoured. If I had a 6S now then I too would pass on the 7.

I'm the same - have never had the 'S' models. Started with an iPhone 3G, then iPhone 4, then 5, then 6 and now iPhone 7. The 'S' versions are never worthy upgrades IMHO.

I also bought a SIM only deal from EE, for £20 a month with 8gb data and unlimited texts and calls, which runs for 12 months. That way, if there is a decent iPhone next year, I will be able to upgrade if I wish to (which I probably wont!!)

Yup, I am worried about this, tempted not to get a case at all.

Which Spigen case did you have? EDIT: Just seen you have posed it. I am considering the Air Skin.
 
I decided to hold out and wait to have a look at the colours in the Apple Store. I would really like the Jet Black, but wanted to check it out.

Sounds like a plan...did you use Quidco 7% back as well? it is tracking on my Quidco account but i know some get funny about cash back on phones etc

Same thoughts here. Getting the 7, coming from a 6, have never had an S model.

I have just ordered the Air Skin as people seem to recommend it. For my 6s plus, I have had a cheapo hard plastic case on it for 6 months....no marks or damage

I have the exact same Spigen case for my Silver iPhone 6s+ and it doesn't have any of that. Just pulled the case off to double check
 
My orders moved from "we've received your order" to "processing items" :D (iPhone 7 128GB, Delivery on the 16th)

Yep just saw that now. I went through my post history to narrow it down further and I believe the general consensus was that at 12 each night, the stock count for each apple store is updated to account for new deliveries during the day. Looks like we can't reserve until 17th 6am earliest though.
 
When ordering online at Vodafone - it's stating delivery from Friday 16th, however if you choose to collect from store, it's showing as all my local stores having stock for collecting Friday morning. Hopefully they'll manage Friday deliveries.
 
so, now the chaos has died down a bit.

This morning was a farce and I am a little peeved apple didn't bother to notify anyone there was NO launch stock of the black colours. What a joke. They should of mentioned it shipping later.

I just about managed to grab a 6-8 day delivery on a 128gb plus black. I can see it going one of two ways where it will ship for next friday (unlikely) but perhaps possible, therefore they will meet the launch stock or more likely we will be waiting 2 weeks for it.

I also ordered one from Very as I had an email saying they were selling it. Apparently delivery on saturday 17th, I would be amazed if that is realistic, how on earth would they have stock yet apple can't manage any before September 27th. However if they manage to pull it off it would be awesome as I can spread the payments over 3 months interest free!

For those queuing up: I would say unless the online pre orders start shipping for Friday its very unlikely the stores will have any for walk ins.

My 2p worth. but safe to say I am really disappointed with how this has been handled.

Oh and where is Buzz Killington from earlier giving it the old " the won't sell out of this, trust me, blah blah blah" :D

Wanted to get the Jet Black 7 Plus in 128GB. When i finally got through to the Iphone Upgrade Program page, they were out of stock at every London store. Will it be impossible for me to get this phone on the program before 02/10 (when i go on holiday)?

Saw someone a few pages back say they refresh the stock count on the reservation page at 3am? Is this true?
