My sister's + is on the same status. DHL? Amsterdam? I think it means collected by the next leg of the service. Hopefully not fished out of a lake or something :p

Haha yeah it sure was :p whens your delivery estimated date? haha that comment made me laugh, hope the lake wasn't more than 1.5meters ;)

It has been taken from the plane and is now being held until the next movement.

Estimated delivery of 14th but I should think it would be sooner than that seeing as it's now somewhere in Amsterdam. Monday or Tuesday?

@l3uddz HERO!

Reserved this morning and collected this afternoon.

Apple customer service was great again by letting me keep my noisy MB plus until I could get a JB plus, swapped it in store today without any issues.

Having had both I'm happy and glad I replaced with the Jet Black, it is a gorgeous finish and feels amazing.

ok Called that Number Beards - spoke to a guy in DHL Express - they said they have no reference of these DHL global forwarding type of tracking numbers - he even did a search on my post code - if you look at the Package weight i think its 118kg and the guy said well its its a pallet as it looks like it is then they will have to wait for various bits on it to be designated before we get more info. Now on my Apple order page - the delivery date shows as the 10th October it was 12th Oct last week - so somehow its been brought forward - I have seen one other case in these forums where there was an Amsterdam package - they kept it there for about 24 hours and then it was in the UK - I guess we will have to wait and see - let me know if you got any ideas

Thanks Cheeky. Yep, I know what the guy at DHL is on about and I should have thought about that. Basically it's a pallet of goods so yes he'd have no idea as to individual or personal tracking numbers, that's Freight as opposed to EXPRESS.
They're now waiting for another freight to add to the next plane which fills the space. These don't normally hang around for too long as it's taking space in their holding pen.
I'm guessing it will fly out no later than Sunday.

If I get a chance later this evening I'll look into calling the holding depot myself.
Catch you later, must get back on the road.....

i must say Beards you really well versed with this - and what you saying makes sense - since its a 100kg pallet - i hope they dont put something like a big stove over our iPhones haha - please let me know if you can get any info from the Depot !!

ok guys i just got some info froM DAVE245 whose iPhone was in amsterdam and he wrote something about it on the forums - allow me to just quote him

"
Hi, your status should update after 24 hours. Mine went from dispatched to being delivered to me in about 1 week. My original delivery date was for the today, Friday 7th but it was delivered on Monday 3rd, so it was actually earlier than expected."

I am thinking within 24 hours that status should change

No problem, will do.

Edit: The pallets clearing customs Sunday.

How long will it take then to get to a sorting facility and then be put out for delivery? any idea?

Did you get that information from phoning them?

2 days max but normally within 24hrs, its money to them so hanging around is not an option. It does though also depend on another consignment which they're waiting to join the customs clearance.

Canned my Carphone Warehouse order and getting a refund. By far the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with.

EE matched the deal so decided to order with EE. Does mean I join the back of the queue but id rather deal with them than CPW! And if do decide to change my mind over the next few days I will cancel with EE lol.

With that said not much point in keeping updated with this thread anymore, as by the time I get a 7 Plus this will thread will be redundant.

Hopefully everyone gets there phones ASAP and I will see you next year if I decide to do all this again next year! Sure I will!
