I was referring to earlier than my estimated delivery which is 27-29 September currently.
Shoutout to the 'still Sep 27-29 and haven't been bumped up a week but still refresh the order page every 4 minutes' crew 
That's annoying. HSBC are fine with these things
Same with mine and without fail my card issuer always blocks any large transaction in their so called random anti-fraud checks.
Same :/ usually if I had got my order in as early as I did today I'd have been garunteed a launch day delivery but I'm still stuck at 27th
To be fair, the same happened to me on the iPhone 6 release. I ended up managing to secure an instore pickup on the day after release and cancelling my online order!!
My confirm email was 08:04, still stuck on processing. I wouldn't worry. I remember for the 6 mine didn't change to dispatch until 2 days before launch.

Natwest used to do that to me all the time and it wasn't even for high value transactions. If I'd made about 5 card transactions in a single day the 6th one would be declined even though I had the funds in my account to pay. When I would call them to complain they would try and blame it on the shop and say it's a problem with the vendor there were no issues on our side.
Something I know for sure, if the 6-8 day dispatch orders do ship early, as in soon enough to make it for launch day, then this thread will grow in size by 100 pages a second as the dispatch emails come in

Cx is technically correct. They have a hold for the 900' but is hasn't been officially taken
The impact may be the same , but if that order is cancelled then the hold will be realeased and there never be any sign or proof on any of your bank statements.

I think that could be the case, Apple will try their best, and they have done this before, saying 2-3 weeks and then getting it here on launch, so 6-8 days is nothing
