Does Envirophone and similar companies accept phones that are scratched and cracked?

My iPhone 6S 64GB has been used without a case and has quite a few scratches/scuffs and has a crack at the bottom of the screen.

Not sure if it's worth sending to Envirophone or just selling it on eBay. No idea what it's worth.

Most recyclers will give you buttons if the screen is cracked, but most will tell you on their website!

The Carphone Warehouse SUCKS. Just spoke to them, they confirmed I was one of the first to order a Silver Plus model, I'm at the top of the queue, but despite telling me yesterday to expect it on launch day it will now be arriving a month later on October 16th.

I explained I'd been called up and offered a discount (they wouldn't honour it, claimed it was an error) and that I'd bought a case, taken the day off work and made plans to sell my current phone because they'd assured me to expect it on the 16th of this month (they didn't care, said nobody would be receiving a plus model on launch day through them, if I changed the colour to black it might arrive slightly earlier ??) then I tried to cancel the upgrade as they're holding £250 for the handset and I'm moving house before Oct 16th, they told me to relax, "it could turn up at any time before that date! Have patience" ARGH. Imbeciles.

I'm sure there will be some jet black/ slate black 7 pluses getting delivered/picked up by customers on Friday. I think the yield is just much lower for those colours. So not that many but some.

Precisely.

I wouldn't have even minded if they charged more for it. It clearly takes more time and effort to make - I would've paid more for that.

Instead every Tom, Dick and Harry are going for jet black when they're going to put it in a bloody case anyway...

I'm not buying a case! YOLO

How likely is it that some iPhone 7s will become available for in store pickups on the morning of next Saturday from people not collecting reservations on the launch day?

Was going to sit this one out but changed my mind and want to get a 128gb jet black on the iPhone upgrade programme.

Some early 6am mornings refreshing the site me thinks

I wouldn't have thought the jet Blacks would be available, they are the most wanted and least available...

And so the carrier climb down begins...

No one is getting an iPhone from Apple that is an either shade of black 7+ .

The pre orders opened with the later shipping dates.

Now times may improve and I hope they do but there isn't anyone who was on the store who got next Friday for a black 7+

How a carrier will get a phone if Apple can't is beyond me.

Definitely take all carrier info with a pinch of salt people. Year after year they let people down

Wrong I work for a carrier, and I know we had Jet Blacks and matt Blacks in the +, the Jet Blacks sold out in 10 mins, but the Matt Blacks were still available for an hour or so...

Also, I have never been let down, pre-ordered once it opened and got my device on launch day.... You seem to know so much

I still don't understand why the plus models are so constrained this year. Or maybe demand is higher. Maybe because of the dual lens camera they are harder to make? Or maybe they are saving a lot of initial stock for China.

they are not a carrier.....
Your contribution so far has been telling someone he paid too much for data and getting picky over CPW.

I imagine this would be the case for Very.co.uk as well. Promising everyone a launch day delivery....
And apparently they aren't letting people cancel! That's going to go down well hahaha...

Anyway, is there anybody from London who plans to cancel a Jet Black preorder?

Sorry to hear this, especially as you were an early reserver. I just couldn't trust ordering my iPhone through any other Company other than Apple.

your point is? is it not true?
Point: that it offers nothing of value to this thread, that exists as a rare safe haven from the hostile vulgarity spreading across the rest of MacRumors.

Truth: the former was totally subjective, the latter also probably untrue since, among other things, CPW operate their own network, iD Mobile.

Not me! Hoping someone else does so the queue gets shorter!

Is anyone getting the Airpods when they come out?

I will. I doubt I'll be able to get a pair until Christmas at the earliest because I expect them to be out of stock for some time.

I just bought a pair of Bluetooth earbuds but Apple's implementation is very attractive. But I bet they won't sound great.

Who am I kidding, I'll end up getting some haha!

Carriers aren't just like any other customer. Their contracts are done WAY ahead of time. If EE was told they would get 100,000 phones on day 1 and sign on the dotted line, Apple has to keep to that promise. And they might do that by limiting their own retail.

I agree with this - Apple are interested in shifting volume, full stop. Try to accept that they do not give a monkeys about you as individual single customer, despite being glad to take your money each year.

If Very, or John Lewis, or CPW say they'll take a lorry load each then it's a whole lot less hassle to send one big delivery to them than to deal with 100,000 whiny preorderers who all want to change their address / colour / credit card / pick-up slot five times each.

Every year I read this thread and think 'get a grip people' - it's a fine line between enthusiasm and entitlement. The logistics involved in making 10 million units of *anything* in secret and shipping it to 28 countries ten days later are beyond my comprehension. The fact that it's a miniaturised computer in 28 variants subject to intense public & press scrutiny (many of whom actively wanting it to all fail) makes it all the more remarkable to me.

Is it odd if you paid by Apple Pay that it's not showing up in wallet.app and my card hasn't been charged yet?

Order says processing on both Apple Watch & iPhone, had nothing from Apple or my bank saying there's been any problems!

Had both emails after ordering too!

Definitely. Once people get over how they look, they'll sell very well. Every wireless pair of earphones have one thing bad about them in terms of design.

The AirPods have to be how they are because if not you wouldn't get the battery life, accelerometers etc.

Not if I wanted to get it anytime soon.

I've got an old pair of Samsung Bluetooth earphones. I may just use those until I can get my hands on some Airpods and of course use the EarPods and my old wired headphones with the adapter.

Bang on. People who think Apple aren't good/fast enough need to look at this site for a few seconds!
