Absolute joke!! I kind of wish they said in the event, "Black Plus models available from 23rd"

What's funny is in that week they need to also prepare for shipping to another brand new batch of countries. They can't even cope with the first set of countries.

Precisely.

I wouldn't have even minded if they charged more for it. It clearly takes more time and effort to make - I would've paid more for that.

Instead every Tom, Dick and Harry are going for jet black when they're going to put it in a bloody case anyway...

Does Envirophone and similar companies accept phones that are scratched and cracked?

My iPhone 6S 64GB has been used without a case and has quite a few scratches/scuffs and has a crack at the bottom of the screen.

Not sure if it's worth sending to Envirophone or just selling it on eBay. No idea what it's worth.

Try mazuma, as they don't lower the price if its scratched

Doubt they had any available for launch, mine was 6-8 business days too...

I very much doubt Apple Store UK had the Jet Black 256GB ready for launch day on their website. Yet people are preordering the Jet Black through carriers and phone shops on their lunch break and getting a next Friday pickup. Hardly seems right.

I ordered Jet Black 7 256GB as soon as the Apple Store App opened with Apple Pay but I have got 'Delivers 26 Sep - 3 Oct'. I would really like to hear from those who ordered the same 7 Jet Black 256GB if they are getting theirs next Friday? (with screenshots if possible).

I don't think they had the 256GB matte black either. Bloody annoying to be honest as I now have to find a temp phone to hold me over until I come back from holiday.

No one is getting an iPhone from Apple that is an either shade of black 7+ .

The pre orders opened with the later shipping dates.

Now times may improve and I hope they do but there isn't anyone who was on the store who got next Friday for a black 7+

How a carrier will get a phone if Apple can't is beyond me.

Definitely take all carrier info with a pinch of salt people. Year after year they let people down

Anyone else in the same boat as me at the minute? Using their really poor spare smartphone until friday? haha :( just sent my old Z5 compact off to envirophone.

Will soon be! Just sold my iPhone 6s Plus 128GB for £550. Buyer collecting tomorrow. Luckily I have an old 5S "somewhere" that I need to dig out and change up.

Is anyone part of Apple's Beta programme? Is there anything extra I need to do to wipe my phone clean?

I agree, why would Apple supply the carriers for launch day when they can't even fulfill online orders?

No-one in the U.K. is.

Re your carrier point. 1) I would take their guarantees with a mountain of salt and 2) Apple has lots of contractual obligations with their carriers so it may be possible they got priority stock via that.

I'd just ensure you've upgraded to the latest software update (the GM from Wednesday) before you wipe it.

Wrong, a friend of mine ordered a black 7+ 128gb at 8:01am in the UK and he got a delivery date for the 16th.

100% my reasoning too. It's not good enough on such an expensive device. That's why there's no Mac's in Jet Black.

CPW has clearly stated that they won't get any until at least OCT. the yield rate is low, even Apple said in the video that not all finishes are perfect. Something like 3 out of 10 pass QC?

Where did it say that in the video? I can't recall it at all.

Carriers aren't just like any other customer. Their contracts are done WAY ahead of time. If EE was told they would get 100,000 phones on day 1 and sign on the dotted line, Apple has to keep to that promise. And they might do that by limiting their own retail.

Yeah I guess, makes sense

Thats good to know. I'll see how the order progresses next week. I might try my old trick of phoning around small high street electrical stores, that's how I used to beat the Apple Store queues before all of this online preordering. Thats a good tip by the way. If you weren't successful, try your local Apple resellers. Sometimes they can be small one man band stores.

Ah, I reminisce of the time I walked into a TV Shop in Westfield White City, straight up to the counter and bought my iPad 2. I walked past everyone queueing outside Apple Store which stretched all the way down the escalators, outside past the restaurant area. Must have been 1km long.

Which deal was this? The only £20 a month deal I saw from EE was the one with 8gb and unlimited texts and calls on a SIM only package (12 month contract).

Any network is better than O2's atrocious non existant 3G and 4G networks. I work up at London Bridge where O2's "4G" speeds are non existant. It's so bad that 3G is faster than their 4G service. Even where I live (Sanderstead), got off the train yesterday and where I should have been getting a 4G service, all I could get was 'Edge'. RIDICULOUS and THE reasons I have left O2 and porting my number to EE.

It was this one http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ee-...-sim-only-12-month-contract-was-34-99-2486239

I took it out myself as EE have great signal and speed where I live and went from paying £21 for 4Gb to £20 for 16Gb so no brainer

Just phoned EE up a while ago and upgraded my sim to £20 for 8GB, unlimited texts and calls with BT Sport and Apple Music free for 6 months.

Now just need to decide whether to get my phone from Apple Upgrade or Very.

Thats a shocking deal
Strongly considering a Silicone or Leather in Midnight Blue. Would match my iPad cover and favourite Watch strap...

I wouldn't pay those bloated apple prices for a case, Amazon have loads for much less, Spigen do a great case thats only £6 on amazon
