I think you've just totally misunderstood EE's site. That doesn't confirm your iPhone is locked to EE. That's just the standard option on their 'My Account' page.

I can confirm this - my iPhone 6S Plus was purchased from Apple so is unlocked (I know this as I've had a GiffGaff sim in it).

I'm on EE Sim Only and this option also shows in My EE for me.

Anyone else in the same boat as me at the minute? Using their really poor spare smartphone until friday? haha :( just sent my old Z5 compact off to envirophone.

I wish so much I had jumped on the 16gb for £20 per month EE deal. With three currently but their network sucks and is getting worse and worse

Which deal was this? The only £20 a month deal I saw from EE was the one with 8gb and unlimited texts and calls on a SIM only package (12 month contract).

Of course.

But whether it's been Wales, Birmingham, Manchester, London, Southampton, Guernsey, or cruising down the M1 listening to Beats 1, I can't actually recall a time in the last year that I've not had at least 3G with EE.

With Vodafone no service was a daily experience. Maybe their network has improved lately.

Any network is better than O2's atrocious non existant 3G and 4G networks. I work up at London Bridge where O2's "4G" speeds are non existant. It's so bad that 3G is faster than their 4G service. Even where I live (Sanderstead), got off the train yesterday and where I should have been getting a 4G service, all I could get was 'Edge'. RIDICULOUS and THE reasons I have left O2 and porting my number to EE.

I recently moved from O2 to EE and it's night and day. I ran tests of 4G speed around my work and got around 11-18Mbps, ran the same tests after I moved to EE... 103-110Mbps. Similar differences at home too.

There's always shortages on launch of any Apple device and it's not even exclusive to them. Plus that's not a bad thing, business wise, it's always better to have demand exceed supply, both for a stock level and for the buzz it generates.

Supply issues are a poor reason from apple, considering this is the same ole story every year. They have the resources to counter this and do something about it. We will never know what steps Apple take on this front and if it is a marketing ploy. I think though we as the customer would appreciate it if they were just up front with stock levels because they can do this and have done so in the past. This causes customer distress when trying to order products which simply won't be in stock for weeks. They rely upon online orders but do not say if stores will have levels of stock on launch day so people know if it is worth queueing up or not. Apple pride's itself on quality and good customer service yet it delivers persistently poor quality of service year in with product launches. I read about so many disappointed people on forums. Thankfully I always manage to get a phone on launch day every year but rarely through Apple.

A lot of agreement at EE's network is the best.

It's about time Ofcom pulled their finger out and made proper, independent, compulsory coverage maps and performance data.

I think it was a month ago. I signed up for £19.99 12 month contract with 16GB data and also got cash back from QuidCo which makes it £13 per month

I have until the 22nd to get my old phone to them so just going to post it Friday when my iPhone arrives.

Yeah, I'm using my friends' old HTC One X - It's slow, the WiFi only works in the same room as the router, and mobile data doesn't work on it. It receives calls and texts though so it'll do for now. Have to use it until Friday.

I did at lunch time yesterday from carphone warehouse 128gb iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black
That's not the same. The network's promises are worthless. Believe it when you see it.

(I too have been promised launch delivery by EE, I don't believe it one bit.)
