shouldn't have gotten my hopes up thinking i'd be free from Touch Disease Hell in a week
hopefully the delivery dates do move up
But I thought nobody wanted the one without the headphone jack and such a minor improvement over last year's specs????????? I don't understand all the orders.
That's easy.. reselling will be huge for the new black series devices. Get one on release date, don't open it.. resell it to someone who missed out or doesn't want to wait.. pocket an extra couple hundred bucks.. if not more. I've seen it in the past where phones have sold for double on release date because people just cannot wait.. it's crazy! I ordered a 256gb jb unlocked.. I had zero intentions in purchasing this device but for the money aspect its completely worth the time put in. Either I keep the phone.. sell my old one.. or outright sell mine the second it comes out for more then I paid and pocket the difference. But I thought nobody wanted the one without the headphone jack and such a minor improvement over last year's specs????????? I don't understand all the orders.
Yeah they never said we are going to have to basically wait now until the physical stores have a surplus in stock. I'm honestly tempted to just pay off the rest of my iPhone upgrade program balance and but a new one in full now. At least then you get trade in value.Being part of Apple's upgrade program seems to shut us out of reserving a phone, while the sell out to everyone else. I could buy a new phone, but not even at 12:01 was there any option to upgrade.
I called Verizon after the timeout and it is indeed the "Account Pin". Stupid thing is I forgot that I set this. It's the pin, not the password...
Sales are sales. Nobody would buy an iPhone to resell if there wasn't any demand for them. Ultimately, they still represent money in Apple's pocket.A lot of the sales are resellers. Some ebayers hoping for a shortage to mark up the price. Others are sent to other countries where they are worth almost double the price.
Last years 6s was pushed a couple weeks to month but I was able to do a walk in on launch day without an hassle and out the door in less than 5 mins with a iPhone.
I just replied about that. I had a 60 minute lockout and still was able to get it on Apple site with Verizon received by Sept. 16th. Wondering if this is an illusion or what??Still great availability on Apple website here on the East coast. For Verizon phones, the only model that seems delayed is the 128 Jet Black.
So much fun monitoring the Reddit thread and just watching all the rage and disappointment. Like I said, Apple somehow manages to **** it up every single year. Apparently the carrier sites were extra bad this year too, so there was extra rage.Up well before 3 am on the East Coast. So much fun watching the activity, like ants finding a sugar source. I'll wait until the Iphone 8 next year.
I'm with you on this one. Seems we should have been given a priority or something or at least NOT require a dang reservation at the Apple store. I am very cross with Apple this yearAnyone that bought a phone last year using the Apple Upgrade program and wanted a 7 Plus was basically screwed as appointments were gone within seconds. If I wasn't locked into Apple's upgrade program, I could have had the phone was wanted on the 23rd. Instead now I won't get it until December. This means paying for extras months until the 7 Plus is available and then not be eligible to upgrade when the 8 Plus comes out next year.
The whole purpose of the upgrade program is that you are supposed to be able to upgrade every year, but in reality you can't. At least not if you want the Plus model. Apple was still taking reservations for the 7 last I checked.
I'm never using Apple's upgrade program again.
They slipped before the $%!@$! website even worked.
