I preordered every new release since the 4. No headjack, no sale.

But Apple still won as I bought a 6s two weeks ago. I should have waited until the used 6s dropped on the market. But my phone wasn't working and it was either pay for a replacement 6 or buys a 6s.

They probably made more profit off than me buying a 7. I should have bought a used one and not given more money to Apple.

The point is you really have no idea what Jobs would have liked or not liked. It's all conjecture as you have absolutely no evidence to support your argument. The fact that you don't like it, well that's something else entirely.
Yeah maybe I don't know what he liked or not,i have readen so many times about his impressions on the large screen phones "No One Is Going To Buy A Big Phone”:):D

My biggest concern is how well are we going to be taken care of if we opted into the Apple Upgrade plan? Otherwise, I may just switch to my carrier next time… If I still have to wake up at 3am and try and place a pre-order then what is the advantage? Anyone else feel me on this?

I do wonder how this will work.

We can't know for sure what Steve knew about the iPhone 6, but the decision to make bigger phones must have been made when he was still alive.
Of course the final design (including the bands and protruding camera) wasn't approved by Steve 3 years before the product went on sale, but I bet he knew about two screen sizes, touch ID and even Apple pay.

Like ideally we should get the device early and not have to do a thing! A pre-paid packing slip should be including for our old phone and it should be seamless. We are paying for Apple care, so the fact that it comes with our AU plan is irrelevant….This next release and how they treat us will really make the difference on whether people continue to do it. Otherwise I am totally confused why we would do it again?

Considering the iPhone 7.

But then I remember...no 3.5 mm headphone jack. It's going to be a tough call this September.

Im definitely excited about a 32 GB option which means at least I won't have to shell out a lot of money for space I won't use.

Same boat. I need a new phone so I'm either going to hold my nose over the headphone thing and buy a 7 or will take advantage of the expected price drop to buy a 6s. Leaning at the moment toward the 6s.

Bingo! That's exactly why the Mac Pro is destined to go the way of the dinosaurs. Outside of Apple engineers and a few high-end creative shops, I seriously doubt anyone actually bought one in sufficient numbers to justify its existence.

There's definitely something to this, as many applications that once were strictly in the "Pro" domain are now easily accomplished on iMacs and MBPs. That said, part of the issue with the last Mac Pro was that it wasn't the machine many of its target market likely envisioned. The cooling technology was, well, cool, but the design didn't permit internal expandability or easy front-panel port access and it didn't look like a Mac or, frankly, anything most people would want on their desk. It just seemed like a misfire, albeit an interesting one.

I think there would be a sizable market for headless Macs paired with reasonably priced Apple displays. The Macs could come in a "Pro" flavor with internal expandability and internal cooling, and a consumer flavor such as an upgraded and updated Mac Mini. People would love that if Apple would make it.

Still waiting on the preorder for my Skylake MacBook Pro. And the Powerbook G5...

Just wait and see when that Motorola 68090 zips at breakneck speed in the G5, leaving Skylake etc. in the dust.

Hoping it will have fusion drive 5,400 plus 1 GB SSD.

RAM is soldered onto the chip. They could easily just solder a 3gb RAM chip on there, which does exist even on the PC side of things.

I was saying if cellphone RAM is anything like pc RAM it would perform better if configured in dual channel mode. In pc's for RAM to work in dual channel mode it needs to be two matching memory modules which in total usually adds up to an even number not odd. However I don't know how cellphone RAM works, I don't even know if cellphones have any mode such as dual channel for memory and this is only speculation. So now that I've explained myself better I'm sure you'd understand why I'd think Apple will use an even number for RAM in their phones.

Is there anyone in here that knows about dual channel RAM in pc's and how cellphone RAM on chip works and care to elaborate'? Thanks.

There is much more profit in an idevice . All TC cares about .

iPad pros are already laptop pricing, in the future they can evolve them more to be "desktop replacements" charging higher premium and adding accessories, increasing profits, and also people will want to upgrade these "desktop replacements " for more grunt.

A laptop has lower profit and lasts too long....., and the damn think comes with most accessories an iPad will need. That is why you limit the ports and add adapters....my awesome MacBook

I don't think it's just about profits.

And I'm saying that dual channel works by putting two sticks of the same type while I'm fairly certain the RAM on a chip is just a single thing. There's no chance for dual channel memory that way.

Right. They put 2GB on the 6s only one year ago, I'd expect the next RAM update to come in 2017

They'll increase the RAM. This thing always have my apps reloading and I'm running iOS 10 with a 6s plus. Even on iOS 9 it reloads so often, I'm tired of that.

Isn't that how all leaks work?

I'm not entirely sure I know what you are asking, but I think the answer is going to be an emphatic no. This is the second time MR has described Blass as a "leaker" when it seems clear from the story that he is supposed to be reporting privileged information from someone who passed it to him (making them the actual leaker). Then they confuse matters even further, by calling his "leak" a "prediction," which makes no sense at all if he was actually reporting credible information that was given to him. Applying this odd rule to journalism, all reporters are now actually leakers who predict instead of report.

Nothing like the usual haters to brighten the mood :/

I'm personally excited for the next iPhone, regardless of whether I buy it or not.
So, if they don't like certain things...that makes them haters?
[doublepost=1469720123][/doublepost]Apple's next innovation; 128gb base model at starting price of: 1,099.

Why wait til the next model? If the new iPhone has no 3.5mm jack, neither will the iPhone after that.
Maybe the next se version?

In my opinion , the 2013 Mac Pro, was a PR move, showing apple could innovate down to such a small size and making huge fanfare about bringing production back to the USA. i think it played out really well for PR.

Just a shame that for professional applications , it was kinda crap. From a design point of view, it's awesome.

Not to nitpick, but if something isn't designed for its intended users then you can't really say the design was all that great.

I used to have the same problem on iPhone 6 but after I bought the 6s I seldom see my apps reloading.
Of course I'd be happy to have even more ram, but since they waited years to upgrade from 1GB to 2GB I'd find it strange if they doubled the RAM after one year only

I know how dual channel in pc's work and you don't know how it works either in cellphones. I'm asking if anyone here who knows about mobile OS and chip design to chime in and elaborate. It's okay if no one knows the answer but don't pretend to know the answer, because you saying "fairly certain" is just another way of saying 'I think so.'

They will because the size of the OS and number of services it's running is increasing incredibly. Just think of the new maps app alone with all the new plugins and apps that can tie into it. It would be a real problem if someone is using maps and after an incoming phone call the phone freezes or maps app crash or reload.

Why? A9 is more than fast enough so what will A10 give you that you don't have now?

I think upgrading from 6S to 7 (if all the rumours are correct) is not very sensible choice. Why you ask? Because there isn't much upgrade to begin with. Same as going from 6 to 6S - very little and waste of money.

So, what is the magical A10 give YOU that you will buy it regardless what the rest is? Or are you just chasing specs and numbers?

Because it isn't worth it for you doesn't mean it isn't worth it for others. I want to always have the fastest phone and best camera available because I like to complete my tasks faster or take more beautiful pictures. I want a phone that has more hardware features, I use 3D Touch all the time, I use my camera all the time, I surf the web and message all the time. I FaceTime my girlfriend all the time. As someone who fully utilizes the use of the cellphone I wouldn't call it a waste of money to upgrade every year.

my iphone 6 needs to constantly reload apps. only time it doesn't is if it's one of the two apps i last used.

That doesn't contradict my statement that most people don't even know or care how much RAM is in their iPhone. The very fact that you post here means that you probably know and care more about the specs and capabilities of your phone than the vast majority of consumers.
