No total on screen time for the last 24 hours. It's only by app per app basis and it's constantly changing every hour that goes by. I just want a simple one that shows the total onscreen time combined from all apps over a full charge.

I wish there was an app usage since last full charge. The 24 hour usage is completely useless unless you only charge your phone once every 24 hours and even if that was the case it would still contain old app usage info.

For example, if I listened to Music for 4 hours 18 hours ago, but charged my phone since then, the 4 hours of usage has no impact on the current charge cycle battery usage despite being listed.

Is anyone else having problems with the battery usage screen losing the app usage data for the last 7 days?

Periodically the 7 days tab disappears and then slowly starts counting up days like it does when the phone is first set up.

I think it happens after Springboard crashes.

Here's my problem with the iPhone 7's battery. If I charge it to 100 percent before I go to bed and have it on standby for 8-9 hours I'll wake up with anywhere from 80-85 percent on average. I've owned every iPhone except the 6 and have never had this issue. With every other iPhone I'd at most lose 1 or 2 percent in that 8-9 hour standby period.

This is actually my second iPhone 7. I first bought one on launch day and had the exact same issue. I took it back one day prior to the 14 day return period and went back to the 6S(I'm on T-Mobile's jump on demand program btw). No issues with the new 6S but I started to get the itch to get the iPhone 7 again. So last week I walked into a T-Mobile store while at the mall and they had one in stock so I switched out my phone again. Now I have the same battery problem I had with the first one. I have an appointment at the genius bar on Friday night to see what they can figure out but does anyone here have any other thoughts as to what could be causing the issues other than a bad battery? I mean other than losing all that battery life while on standby the battery does pretty good.

FYI I just woke up a little while ago and my battery was fully charged when I went to sleep and it now shows 84 percent with 8hr47m of standby with 4 min of usage.

only problem is ever had: my 7 has only shown Usage and Standby times once, ever. idk what the heck is up with it.

Im getting fantastic battery life on my 7. Moderate use. Most of the day on wifi. Brightness set to auto. Gmail and exchange on push.

Same problem here. Went to bed last night with 64% and switched airplane mode on. This morning 52% after 8 hours of sleep.

Satisfied with usage time but standby is a pain in the ass. Tried everything set up as new, changed the iPhone, GPS on/off....

Any ideas?

I get about the same battery life as I got from my iphone SE - which is quite good;
I charge my iphone 7 fully before going to bed; After 8 to 9 hours in the night, mine shows 100% when I wake up;
(This is after ios 10.1 update; with the earlier ios version, it used to drop to 98% or so overnight)
Note: I turn off data when i go to bed and switch it back on in the morning; I do not put it in airplane mode; The phone is also in do not disturb mode overnight;

Settings with which I use my iphone 7 (4.7 inch):
1. Raise to wake is disabled (i prefer clicking once to see notifications, clicking again to go to home screen)
2. (icloud) keychain off
3. (icloud)backup off (i create manual backups with itunes app in windows PC); icloud sync for Notes, safari etc are on; Only the backup is turned off
4. Auto brightness is on; But i turn the brightness down when it seems unnecessarily bright while using the phone;
5. Background App refresh allowed only for - gmail, google news, kindle, mobileiron(for office emails/calendar), Notes, weather and WhatsApp;
6. Siri from locked screen disabled - due to office requirement
7. Notifications off for facebook
8. Still on 3G in India; (planning to buy 4G/Lte sim which is still a new thing here)

You've gotta call Apple or go directly to an Apple Store for help.

I tested mine again last night and dropped from 100 percent to 76 percent with the phone in standby mode for 13hr 27min. And like I said, the first iPhone 7 I got did the exact same thing. I'm gonna call Apple tonight and see what they have to say. I had a genius bar appointment for tomorrow night but moved it to next Tuesday just to test the phone out for a few more days. I don't wanna go back to the 6S but I may have to.

Just awful for me.

Nearly every day I've had to charge it by the time I get home from work. never had that problem with my 6s!

9.5/4hrs is weak man.

Well I called AppleCare support tonight and they ran a diagnostic test and as I expected, said the battery was fine. I knew that was gonna be the case since everything battery related is fine except for standby mode. I'm gonna turn off background app refresh tonight and location services as well to see if that helps. I'm still gonna go to my genius bar appointment next week to see if that helps although I doubt they'll replace the phone if their battery tests show the phone is ok.

So I'm wondering do I just stay with the 7 if this problem persists and hope that a future software update will fix the problem or do I just go back to the 6S where everything is perfect.

After having the Iphone for a month, I can say it's battery life has been pretty awesome.

I came from an S7 edge that has a 3600 mah battery and the Iphone actually matches the battery life of it. It even has better battery life in terms of standby.

I have the regular 7, not the plus. The plus must be incredible in terms of battery life.

This has been by far the best surprise of the Iphone 7 for me. I was actually expecting to have crappy battery life.

I bought an iPhone 7 but have not used it yet. I would like to know how it's battery goes. I have an se and am waiting to have it on network for 40 days so I can unlock it.

With the 3.5 Jack being deleted, both the 7 and 7 Plus were added with two additional hours of battery life.

Only had the 7 (4.7) two weeks but does seem better in Standby than my 6s. However with the screen on the battery seems to drain pretty much on a par with the 6s (from recollection). Early days but yes I think it is probably improved due to the Standby stats I'm getting (40-45 hours generally).

I have a 7 plus and honestly I'm getting the same battery usages as I had with my iPhone 6s 4.7 which is around 6 hours usages.

Not bad but I was expecting at least 8 hours usage like I had with my 6 plus and 6s plus.

I get exactly 8 hrs of mixed usage out of my 7+. Can't understand why everyone is so in love with the battery...

I was waiting for the release of new MB Pro. I was expecting to pay $1299 for base model since I don't need lots of storage and processing power. When I saw the cost I right away knew the casual user was being priced out, and not the demographic. So I am now typing on iPad Pro 12.9 which will more than meet my "casual needs" and be my main personal device.

Haven't used the phone today; after 11 hours of idling next to my watch (also idling) it is down to 90 percent from a 100 and shows an hour of usage. I haven't touched the phone though. Is 60 minutes of usage on 11 hours of idle normal? Seems like the phone is padding the usage stats and that would explain why I always get around 9 hours of usage out of the phone
