Only had the 6s on iOS 10 for a few days and didn't notice that much difference in battery life than before.

I'm defn getting better battery on the 7 compared to the 6S, of course YMMV.

2 hours of usage more than the iPhone 6s is good enough for me! Thanks a lot

Combining audio playback with typical screen-on usage isn't a logistically accurate depiction of improved battery life (unless you are specifically comparing two phones personally, instead of Apple's estimated battery life)

Is your phone an iPhone 7 or a 7 Plus?

Sorry, should have clarified. 7 plus.

This is what I'm seeing today:

Here was my battery calibration run. 8h42m Usage / 24h41m Standby, moderate amount of camera usage, mostly used for communication and watching YouTube. Pretty impressed.

I agree with the idea that it takes a little bit for the battery to "break-in", it took about a week before the iPhone settled down and finished indexing/whatever it's doing after a restore.

I'm on iOS 10.1b2, iPhone 7 Plus.

I'm quite pleased with the battery life of my 7 (NOT PLUS) running 10.0.2

I have push accounts enabled, some background refresh on, and I only kill apps that ignore the background refresh toggle. I also have about 3 dots or signal all day and keep auto brightness on.

I've been thinking about the same thing. Does watching YouTube videos on the YouTube app drain more battery than watching them on the YouTube website? Can anyone confirm this?

How well does the battery life last with moderate use of Snapchat? I currently have the GS6E and Snapchat literally drains my battery so much I charge my phone 3/4 times a day! I'm currently waiting for iPhone 7 to be delivered and curious to know how well the battery will be? Any opinions?

yes, the batter is much worse on 7, Apple should have said "2hrs Less"..... my 5S gets better life on ios10, I hope there is a fix soon.

Just chiming in here:

Got my iPhone 7 on launch day. Battery life was definitely better than my 6s until about 5 days ago. Now, for some reason the 7 isn't doing as well, just seems to lose battery from doing little on it.

Example - Was out yesterday and while on 3G was streaming Beats 1 while looking around Twitter. In total I did this for about 50 mins. Left the house at 46% and got home with 19%.

Today seems better but again some days the battery is great and others it just seems poor.

I've had the opposite experience with mine. My 5S would be down to around 30% battery life 24 hours after a charge with my typical daily usage. My new 7 is currently sitting at 62% 24 hours after a charge with the same type of usage. Couldn't be happier with the improvement! iOS 10 on both.
