This is the real deal guys! 4.7 inch iPhone 7 JB 128gb. Unplugged this morning at about 6:45 and have used the phone quite a bit. Took it on a 10 mile run with Nike tracking gps and with Spotify playing music the entire time. Listened to about an hour of a podcast and have done some surfing on safari and some iMessage. With my 6 it would be dead by now. I do believe in the 2 hour increase!

Should I be concerned....Just got my 7 plus 32 gb black last night. Charged to full. Now at 24 hours of standby and 7 hours of usage and already at 13 percent. Is this just because it was day 1 and I was doing a lot of downloading and setting up? Everything about my 7 plus is awesome...would hate if I have a dud battery in it

Give it a week of normal use before making any judgements.

Very true. Guess I just got nervous after seeing some people on this thread. There normal 7 is beating my 7 plus out easily...then in the 7 plus thread, some people are posting insane numbers.

Totally makes no sense

Got it yesterday on the day of launch here in India. Battery life seems decent to me as of now. Still early days though. Real test will be to see how it goes on Monday which will be a working day.

Battery life on the 7 is great IMO. I sold my Galaxy S7 for the matte black 7 and battery life seems better for the most part which is crazy... so long as you're using the phone without a zillion background tasks running the stand by and screen time are phenomenal. Probably as good as things will get until we see new battery tech.

I was hoping to post a screen shot of my battery today or tomorrow, but my phone froze again, and deleted usage and standby.
I can say my battery life has gotten better and better. I purchased my 7+ two week's ago, and the battery seemed to drain quickly at first, then i started doing small tweaks to app's that used a lot of the battery. Got me longer battery life.
After the last charge i decided to change every thing back to see if the battery would last as long as Apple stated.
I was exploring the phone for the first week. Using it a lot, but got better battery life as time went on.
This is a pick before my phone turned it's self off. I checked the battery app a little before it shut down, but all i remember was standby 41+ hours, and usage almost 6hrs and the battery was down to 49%

My battery stats are stuffed, and to me it seems to be a iOS 10.0.2 fault.

I had no problems on 10.0 or 10.0.1 on my iPhone 7 but ever since updating to iOS 10.0.2, if I have WiFi and Mobile Data turned off and just BT with my Apple Watch on, my battery is down to 90% within 3 hours (without touching my phone within those 3 hours)

If I take a phone call, within 5 minutes it will go down by 10%...

Tried Low Power Mode, but that just seems to make the battery go down quicker...

Really starting to annoy the crap out of me, I've restored my phone twice already, reset network settings and nothing seems to be fixing it, leading it to be software. Did a AppleCare call and the lady said that the diagnostics show no wear of battery...

I had iPhone 6s+, and a few week's before i got the 7+ i updated to IOS 10.0.1. I'm a light user, so i was getting at least 48-72 hrs between charge. Then after i updated to 10 i started getting less than a day of usage. I noticed the battery % decreasing rapidly. I too thought it had something to do with the software?
When i got the 7+ same thing was happening, and driving me crazy. I reset network setting's, went into notifications and turned most off. On FB, and mail i turned off show in notification center and show on lock screen. I didn't touch messages.
In privacy>location services i set most at never, and App store, Find iPhone, Google, Maps, Siri all to While using.
I have Bluetooth, and cellular off, but bluetooth on when driving. In iCloud i only have iCloud drive, keychain, and find my iPhone on. FB and Google app>settings>photo's i only turn on when i want to copy or post a pic.
I may have did other thing's but i don't remember. After i did these thing's i was getting 10hrs usage and and in the high 30 hrs standby. After i saw the improvement in battery life i decided to turn them all back because i feel if Apple preset them you should be able to have that good length of battery usage? As you can see from the pic in my other post all was going fine until my screen froze, and the phone reset @49%.Thats about the 4th or 5th time my screen has frozen.
I think there is still a lot of bugs in the software?

I had an iPhone 6 before my iPhone 7 and was running iOS 10 beta on the 6, and the battery was how I expected it to be for a 2 year old device. Getting into nearly 3 weeks on my iPhone 7 and having it decrease so fast in battery is not right. I've turned all my location settings to While In App or Never, background app refresh completely off.

I've decided to run iOS 10.1 PB2 for now and see if it fixes anything. Will report back in a few hours.

Do report back! Even I'm thinking of updating to 10.1 beta 2.

After i restarted my phone my battery status becomes null value... is that normal? Its my first charge i cant see my status :(

Less than 4 hours on the 7 Plus cannot be good..

Background refresh is off, what could be the problem??

Had the phone for about 3 weeks

iPhone 7 256GB Black model. I took it off the charger at 8:00 am and have not plugged it in since. I think it is doing better than my 6S+ was doing.

My iPhone 6 had really bad battery life as it has wore out I guess after almost 2 years of usage. It shuts down when the temperature is low (winter outdoor, or even cool ac indoor) no matter it has 20% or 50% of battery it still does. It would also suddenly drop from 78% to 20% for no reason. I had to charge it at least once during the day to make it through the day. It was really really bad.
My new iPhone 7 has no problem at all so far for it to last a whole day. I usually get out at 9 and get home at 6, no charging needed until I go to bed at maybe 12-1 unless I had heavy workload on it that day. Mostly WiFi, GPS, Hearthstone, Texting, FaceBook, Spotify, Youtube..... I think charging it multiple times a day would hurt the battery and will have it wore out quicker.

Watching the debate and such and starting to get ready to plug my phone in for the night. This is where it finished for the day. If you ask me, this is AMAZING battery life for the iPhone 7. It is doing better than my 6S+ did.

Sounds pretty good to me. I'm going to bed now with 15% battery left and I have a usage of 7 hours 22 minutes. Obviously how much battery is used during the usage time depends on what you are using your phone for.

I got excellent battery life today on my 7 Plus with mixed usage. I was originally at 90% battery with 2 hours of light usage, but ended up with nearly 4.5 hours of usage and 14.5 hours of standby, dropping to about 70%.

I have everything turned on (location, hey Siri, etc) and don't disable any features, though I do disable background updates for most, but not all, apps. I even have some apps using my location all the time.

My iPhone 7 battery now on 51%
Usage 3h 26min
Standby 29h 24min
I just restored my phone as new, and now only 5 apps that I installed(Instagram,Youtube,Messeger(notifications off),Viber and one not too big game(beacouse i wanted to test the battery).Mostly I only use Instagram and Safari
I think 3h 26min usage(battery on 51%) is not too good for this phone.I turned off every additional function(Hey Siri,GPS location and etc.)
This is a software issue?iOS 10.1 will fix it?
Somebody already fixed this problem, who wrote in this topic 2 weeks ago?
