I normally use Bluetooth headphones, but as a frequent flyer - and at least here in Europe we're not allowed to keep on equipment that emits radio signals - I need my audio device to have a 3.5mm jack, where I plug in my noise cancelling headphones.

As for their Lightning connector, that will only exist on Apple devices and I wonder for how long, before moving to USB-C. I certainly wouldn't buy expensive Lightning headphones even if I had an iPhone. Sometimes I use wired headphones with the PC, with the Shield console etc.

Either way, the 3.5mm connector isn't going anywhere. It's not "dead technology" by any stretch of imagination, and pretending it is just because they didn't have room for the connector in the phone is disingenuous.

If you don't have a 6s then go for it.

I used to say the same thing, but maybe when you start removing features like the headphone jack, then you do have to declare it's better! :)

I for one have been frustrated with all the wireless earbuds I've used. I have a Jaybird wireless set that works pretty well, but the wire between the earbuds is actually quite annoying while jogging. And pairing (and particularly unpairing) is a constant annoyance. Popping in a single Air Pod and being able to talk on the phone or play music from your watch seems just shy of James Bond level of gadgetry. I'm definitely intrigued.
And people constantly complain about Apple not innovating anymore in their designs, and then when they do, the same people complain. No button? No headphone jack? Not gonna judge it till I get my hands on it. But I don't have any problem with trying to update decades-old technology like the headphone jack. The only change I wish they'd made was multiple or passthrough lightning ports to charge and use the headphones at the same time.

I think many people might think that AirPods look ridiculous because it might look like pasta hanging out of your ears.

Icon X is so much better in every aspect than the AirPods and Gear S3 Frontier will destroy the :apple: Watch especially in sales!

I just told my sister who owns a Galaxy S7..look the iPhone 7 just came out and your camera from the S7 it's better than the one from the iPhone 7 xD! I got admit they added some intersting stuff to the camera but when it comes to photo quality..the S7 wins!

It's easier to have a good frame rate when screen resolution is low.

You have already made a decision based upon a product few have actually used. It is a fallacy to judge cameras based solely on megapixels- much more than that comes into play. As for CPUs, surely, you must be joking!

Exactly. The other issue is how the standard wired pods dont fit well (for many, not all....but im one of the many) so they seemingly did nothing to improve upon that. Thats all well and good until one / both fall out in a situation where they become un-recoverable. Bike riding, washing dishes, tiolet, etc.

It won't. Like every other iphone it will sell more in the first day then Samsung can sell in a couple of months.
 
Remember what happened when they ditched the 30 pin connector in favor of lightning. It was like Apple had committed sacralidge against its customers. I think that's why... It's not been enough time since they did that to switch the USB-C

I hate The Verge. I don't trust them worth a darn. So, if they say the home button isn't good, then I'm now very sure it's fine and I'll order the iPhone 7.
 
Are there any other opinions on the new home button, except the verge's "it's awful"?
