You really think $9 is justifiable? It should be free and the earphone jack is always welcome. They are trying to nickle and dime the customers.
The first one is free. It comes in the box with the iPhone. There's no kitten in the box, so if you want a free kitten, you'll have to look elsewhere. Apple apparently doesn't believe in free kittens, but they will give you a free adapter.

Okay I've seen all the keynote and my question is not answered, How do I listen to music all night with my lightning headphones and charge my iPhone. FAIL!
Simple. Charge your phone in the daytime. That leaves the night free for listening to music with your lightning headphones.

Do you, by any chance, remember when they way from 30pin to lighting? Was that a downgrade? Or from PS2 (on computers) to USB? Was that a downgrade?

I am not saying I agree with their choice of killing the 3mm, but it does not make it a downgrade because you need an adapter.

Moving from the 30 pin to lighting was a solid downgrade. We lost analog video output in exchange for reversibility. Same exact speed.

Setting your obvious Samsung fanboy issues aside, it seems like you're missing the entire point of these tests. The videos posted demonstrate how quickly the phones are able to launch apps, switch between apps, and perform within apps with active background processes, ram pressure, etc. Even entertaining the possibility of your "1 million advantages" means nothing if the core feature of the phone doesn't perform as advertised--which is first and foremost navigating the user interface.
But it doesn't beat all android devices.
So it doesn't even get that one across the board.

That jet black is gorgeous!

This is one of those things that you need to see in person to decide whether you really like it. The camera can be deceptive.

iPhone 7 should have included dual camera. Tim is making bigger is better. No headphone jack, no wireless charging, no retina scanner, no oled screen, no new macs, Apple lost its way.

The Macs may be waiting for Kaby Lake, since Skylake is very buggy.

The drivers are buggy...not the processor itself...after several updates most skylake devices are stable

the fallacy of moving the DAC to an external device is the belief that it will be inherently "better."
until somebody provides a frequency chart analysis of a recording showing improved accuracy by moving to an external DAC, its just marketing buzzwords. The fact is the amount of space and battery life you have to work with in wireless headphones, chances are you're still going to end up with the same general spec of DACs regardless of where it exists in the chain. the signal is still being amplified, its still shoved out through a physical transducer. 36mm or 36 inches of travel distance from DAC to speaker really makes little difference once its amplified.

5 hours before I have to charge my headphones? I feel like we've travelled back to 1995, except now its the headphones instead of the discman dying cuz i just listened to three albums back to back.

it really doesnt affect me either way - the ipad is the only remaining apple product that fits my needs, so its irrelevant. but this insane drive to control every last aspect of the UX just reminds me of the XKCD comic about standards. I'm sure we'll all be going insane again in a few years when they come out with Lightning 2 and everybody has to buy new stuff.

It's probably just Samsung boosting their online marketing budget after their implosive recall. Maybe they should increase it more and improve the marketing quality.
I hadn’t thought of that but yes that is probably highly likely.

Yeah there is no way those wireless earphones will A) stay in my ears and B) not get lost super easy.

So how do I charge my phone while listening to music?

It's included in the box. You really, honestly think it should be free as in anyone can wander in off the street and ask for a free cable? Remind me not to invest in, or work for, any business you run.

I thought the user stated that it wasn't free.

It should be free if you buy the iPhone 7 but I guess you are lacked of common sense.

Fingerprint reader (was **** before the last year in Android phones ), no 3D touch (nothing), Camera was a wash UNTIL THIS YEAR (better in some metrics, behind in others), no meaningful encryption until this year in Android phones, slow as ass SOC with throttling even this year no matter how much slow ram and storage they use, slow storage system (Apple uses a custom controller).

AMOLED before 18 months ago was ****, low durability, uncertain colors, etc.
So, basically you just BSing and don't know wth you're talking about.

Bezels Who cares it's a personal preference, weight (it has less features, so less weight), Waterproofing (people tested the phone 6s for 30 min and it survived despite it having no official rating)
Multi-tasking!! Are you for real. Go do your homework bud.
Notification has been around for a long time.

App selection is better unless you want open source things and App quality is off the chart better. Why? Because of the fragmentation of the Android ecosystem it costs more to develop/test on that platform and the buying demos are also a lot worse : equal more money to create apps, less money from selling apps.

Fluidity, there is no discussion here, Apple owns the whole stack, Samsung could put 32 cores in their phones and it still would be slower because they don't control the software; the fact you even mention it makes you look foolish.

Wow... You're really too far gone. But I'll reply anyways. (not surprised to see Montreal..)

"no 3D touch (nothing)"
Yes. there is. But it's useless anyways so..

"Camera was a wash UNTIL THIS YEAR"
It's been a little more than a year. Maybe about since S6 or Note 5.

"slow as ass SOC"
It's been pretty hard to call for the last while. No where near as one sided as you're claiming.

"AMOLED before 18 months ago was ****"
Pretty sure I said "more than a year. In your words, how long is 18 months exactly?
This is the best they can do more than a year later for the next full year phone. That will make it 3 years next refresh.

"Bezels Who cares it's a personal preference"
You don't care how massive your phone gets because of wasted space? Don't hog the koolaid..

"weight (it has less features, so less weight)"
The iPhone has been heaver. I know the iPhone has less features and Much smaller batteries. So shouldn't it be lighter?

"Multi-tasking!!"
You can now copy and paste from one app to another? Since when? Wow. The iPhone is amazing!!!

"Notification has been around for a long time."
For what? About a year. How many years has android had it?

"App selection is better"
I disagree. Lots of cutesy reinventing the wheel apps to appeal to the user base of iOS. Show me a replacement for no BS serious apps like Business Calendar on iOS. Or the many utilities that give me true control over my phone. Or the ability to set third party apps as default.. I can go on and on.

"Fluidity, there is no discussion here"
I was actually saying that iPhones are quite fluid. That was in the pros list. But they don't beat all android phones. So king no. Just quite good.
But then there are compromises for that.

You're talking to the wrong person about "experiencing one" for myself. Either I don't believe you or the anguish simply has not yet found you. I switched away from Android in favor of iOS and I've never looked back. I don't miss that frustrating land of empty promises one bit.

Sort of the same as saying I choose to ignore and stay naive so don't bother trying to talk sense into me. Isn't it?

It's the opposite. He tried Android and switched to iPhone.

I'm sure that post is quite hard to understand for some apple users...

He tried how long ago? Now won't even consider hearing about it.

Ohh, I missed the bit about the iPhone 7 adding RAW support for the new cameras. Big thumbs up to that!

So annoyed that you can't get the same features in the smaller foot print. Why do you do this Apple? People who like smaller phones don't like having the best camera??

Also just fill with a thicker battery and get rid of the camera bump. Being thick isn't a crime

Since when is visiting both camps and coming out with well informed opinion "staying naive"?

Good advice, I suggest you heed it. Make all the assumptions you like, yesterday or five years ago doesn't change the fact that mobile hardware running Android is inherently incapable of enjoying the same level of optimization as an iPhone running iOS.

£919 for the top end 7plus, £1500 for the ceramic case watch. Are these prices sustainable? I get that the watch is a move into fashion (increasingly so, given the modest functionality increases), but that kind of price for a phone? For me, just way too much for what.....faster performance and a nicer camera.
