iPhone 7 Lines Start Growing Ahead of Friday's Launch

Nobody said "nobody."
With zero context for the picture, I assume they are all waiting to use the phone because they need to call someone, something that is very important.
Therefore the point you're trying to make only applies if everyone in line does not have a phone already or have quick access to one - which still wouldn't make sense because they can get one for a few bucks at walmart.
I am all for having a good time, but for a phone that was iteratively upgraded from last year, waiting DAYS for it seems extreme. If I was going to get one launch day I would only wait like an hour before at most.
It just shows how judgmental we are. We have to view everything/everyone the way we do things. Everyone has different passion or craziness. To each it's own. I could judge all the people who say they have work and still have time to spend hours on social sites judging other people but whom am I to judge. Wait...I think I already did.
I used to for concert seats, pre-internet days. Difference is there are finite amounts of concert tickets. But I agree, to each their own.

Has any Android ever run out of stock on launch day? Has any Android ever caused a line the morning of let alone days in advance (two guys at best buy at 8:58 am doesn't count)?
What do you mean "...we have fast charging..."??? Do you mean your company? LG? Samsung? Since with that slip I'd imagine you don't mean "we Android fans" because last I checked this is an Apple site. Tho maybe you'll CYA and the next line will be "oh I have a mac computer" ... which is funny because Mac computers are 5 years behind... but we're okay with that because they run 5 years ahead of PC.
So which is it? Your foot is in your mouth because you called Apple people sheep for buying a phone that's 5 years behind when you're using a computer that's 5 years behind and not taking advantage of the ecosystem? Or are you neither a mac nor Apple customer and just here to give people a hard time in some attempt to satisfy your own personal insecurities.
FYI, if you really think any phone on the market today is "5 years behind" I encourage you to go check out this link and remind yourself how far phones have come inside and out since 2011.

I'm starting to wonder how real this is and whether these people are paid by Apple and the stores to be there, or people with busy bosses who pay their lackeys for this. But you also notice there's only a couple of people. It isn't like in the past when there would be 30 or 40 idiots out there.

Here's an idea. Maybe other manufacturers know how to have a large enough supply to meet demand. You do realize a lot of these "shortages" for gadgets are artificially created to generate buzz and the feeling of "exclusivity." Please tell me you know this.

i mean android phones have fast charging
first of all I'm a mac user i been a mac user for 10 years.and most android phones have fast charging.apples iPhone has nothing to offer me like android phones do.
Many probably underestimated how awesome iPhone 7 would be, they've read all the very positive reviews, and now because of the huge pre-order sales has left massive waiting lists they are desperate to get their hands on these incredible new Apple devices. The only hope they've got is to get in line early and pray.
Can someone explain how waiting in line is fun?

apple doesn't make enough iPhones when the new ones come out
I have no idea if Apple is doomed or not but I am fairly sure these ten idiots are not going to change Apple fortunes.
Imagine...if all the time wasted waiting in line for an iPhone was instead used for community service. Sure it's wasteful to burn a few minutes here and there on the Internet, but DAYS of your life dedicated to consumerism? Across the world, this could amount to millions of hours. Sad, really.
I see camping being fun when you do it in the wilderness, near a lake, in the great outdoors, not in front of an apple store but to each their own I guess. I've been to an Apple launch once, waited in line for 10 minutes and walked in and out. WILL NEVER camp out for any kind of gadget or deal.
Let's see, I know many people with Android phones, none of which have ever insisted on pre ordering, or having it the morning of launch day. Your point is good about artificial demand, but at the end of the day the passion in the customer base is far less with Android.
The same negatives you discuss in regards to an iPhone vs a Android can be said about a Mac vs a PC. PC are always refreshed more often. Almost always have newer features and better specs. So you're basically saying that it's ok to use a computer that's not cutting edge but it's not ok to use a phone that's cutting edge?
Logic... or lack thereof.
