So Apple will sell a record number of iPhones this quarter, and the average selling price will shoot way up (the plus is more expensive, and the jet black is 128gb+ exclusive). BUY BUY BUY lol.

Everyone wants black iPhones now, or was the black/space models always been the most popular ? I never see people with black iPhones, they always have white.

Didn't this weird mentality go out with the Ghz races of the 90s?
It doesn't go away when you are still using the same 720p crappy displays for many years in a row. Not making proper upgrades to display just for the sake of greed.

anyone know why the jet black is less popular but the quantities are lower How are the manufactured? (i.e. the painting process different then the black)

I love my iPhone and have a 7 Plus and Ceramic and Hermes watch delivering tom but Apple used to lead on technology. Now they innovate based on a colors and the Apple fan boys eat it up. So sad to be honest.

I'm holding out for the ceramic iPhone.
1000nits display on the next iPhone. Ceramic on the iPhone Pro.

Silver has been the longest running option in the iPhone line, might get replaced next year. No point producing a single digit seller. Gold may run for another year or two if still in the single digits. White iPhone and a Black iPhone option next year to commemorate the 10 year anniversary.

Seriously? The Ghz races were a joke. 750p is obvious and substandard by any objectional data. Next thing I know you are probably are going to tell me that you can't tell the difference between 1080p and 4K.

If you used the latest Samsung phones, resolution is not the thing I've noticed. That's just marketing hype. It's the deep blacks thanks to the emissive OLED. The contrast ratio makes the UI really pop.

That's his point why knowingly pay a premium for a display that is no longer considered premium. Can't use that good old "retina" marketing speak touting it as the best. When it is a lower quality display that shouldn't command top dollar. Apple needs to catch up to other companies when it comes to its iPhone displays.
I had the LG G4 which has a much sharper display than either of the new phones. Still, though, the calibration isn't nearly as good and more pixels murder your battery.

With normal usage, I didn't notice any improvement with sharpness.

Resolution is a huge difference. OLED is also incredible. My LG65" 2016 4K Curved OLED literally puts my 4K projector to shame with true blacks. If you cannot tell the difference between 750p, 1080p, and 4K well that's a good thing for your wallet at a minimum . Personally I'd have my eyes examined but different strokes for different folks.

" with 128GB proving most popular at 67 percent, followed by 32GB at 14 percent and the all-new 256GB tier at 19 percent. "

I think he listed these out of order...

Yeah, the keynote went through it. There's an extra polish step after anodization-- I think that's the reason it's only available on the more expensive models. Each step costs money.
