Do i need a computer for this? Or do i just like reinstall on the iphone?
He meant doing full restore. Backup your device but I suggest restore it set it up as a new phone not from backup then you could reinstall your apps. I'm gonna do that today.

My batteries attrocious. Is there anyway to fix, is this a hardware or software issue. I went from 57% to now 14% in 2 and a half hours of useage

Me and my wife both got the 7+ and have both noticed our battery has not been impressive. She is on 10.0.1 and I am on 10.0.2. She has the rose gold and it was delivered on the 16th, I got the Matte black the following Tuesday.

On my wifes phone I did a install from an iCloud backup. I set mine up as new.

Any suggestions?

I am running 10.0.2 and coming from 6s, but on day 5 with my 7+ I am very impressed with my battery life.

You barely used your phone. Pretty misleading.

Not too thrilled with battery life as I was expecting more out of it considering they said they improved battery life but did not notice a difference.

My battery life has been pretty crappy. Nowhere near my 6s+. I followed all the suggestions. Turning off this and that, things I never did on my 6s+, and it's still crappy. Today I need a factory restore so hopefully that fixes it.

Last night I lost 15% in about 6 hours while it was sitting on my nightstand. DND was on. Background app refresh is off. Hey siri off. Handoff off. Many location services disabled. Nothing unusual showing for battery usage. Very strange.

Are you on 10.0.2? That happened to me as well after the update. Even if I went on airplane mode the battery would just drain for no reason about 5-7 %. When it should literally be zero. Updated to 10.1 beta still not that great. But it is a beta.

Yes. 10.0.2 though I had the same issue on 10.0.1

I have the same issue on mine, I lose between 7 to 15% battery idling overnight. I'm trying to get a replacement device as another 7+ in my house with identical usage loses 0 to 1% battery idling overnight.

Better today after yesterdays restore but I'm still gonna swap this for a new because I the hissgate and my iphone 6 plus doesn't have that when I run both on benchmarks.

Let me know how it goes. I did factory restore my phone today. And then went ahead and installed 10.1 beta. Things seem better so far but won't know for sure until I go through my routine the rest of the week.

I stopped by the Apple Store tonight and asked about potentially swapping it out. They said they could do a swap but I'd end up with a device from the Genius Bar and thus have non-matching serial numbers on the box and phone. They told me it would be best if I could try and reserve an identical iPhone online and then come in and do an exchange in store since I'm still within 14 days as then I wouldn't have to deal with the Genius Bar and its replacement devices.

I got worst battery life today. Something is definitely wrong. Thing is I've noticed bad battery life even on my SE before upgrading to the 7+

For some reason I feel like it's not hardware related, but an issue with iCloud or some other software feature. Either way if this continues I'm just going to return the iPhone 7+. It's the reason why I stuck with Apple for so long but if battery life is continuing to get worst there is no point in me sticking with Apple.

My battery has improved a lot over the past few days. When I got my iPhone 7 Plus on launch and updated the firmware to 10.0.1 my battery went to crap. Like 2-3 hours of use, 8-10hrs standby left me 20% battery. 10.0.2 didn't do much better. After many Apple Support chats, a Genius Bar visit, and being told all hardware looks fine. I was convinced it's a software issue. I had also set up as new, restored, recovered, etc... nothing helped

I upgraded to the 10.1 beta, I figured it couldn't get worse and I had nothing to lose. Yesterday I had 4hrs usage, 14hrs standby and was at 60% battery! Still not like it was with my 6S Plus, but I can live with this. And I have hope they will fix the issue.

Mine still stinks... I tried shutting background refresh on a couple apps to see if that helps including snapchat. I have a feeling that may be a battery hog.
