Yeah feel real bad for those that haven't shipped yet or are not near their ship date. I guess I was fortunate not to have issues when I placed my order at 3:01AM or having the ability to place my order then. I find the process of logistics interesting and the tasks it takes to manage such a launch and don't view it as a first world problem but just observation.
 
From the UPS site (www.ups.com), if you don't already have one, create a UPS account

Select track by "Reference"
Enter your Apple order number (omitting the last two numbers)
Enter Destination Country
Enter Destination Zip Code

Search

Resulting screen should display your actual UPS tracking details
 
Is it possible to track a order that is being delivered to Apple Store? I want to know where my phone is!
 
Most seems to be coming from Zheng Zhou. Mine is coming from Shanghai. I wonder if they're are differences between factories.

Edit: oh wait, is everyone here just posting Plus's? Mine's not Plus.

so carrier shipped phones are already stateside, however Apple shipped phones come direct from china?

my iPhone 7 ordered through VZW shows fedex origins in PA.

This is not universally true for all orders. I've tried home phone number, device phone number and Apple order number in the Shipment Reference and nothing is found.

There is a plane that leaves soon hopefully they will be on that one. We will see.

Mine have always gone from China straight to Alaska.

Yup, just checked mine and got arrival scan in South Korea. I will keep checking to see where they go next.
