I'll wait for an objective review. These reviews are well vetted by Apple. Do you think they'd let somebody borrow a phone a week before launch and allow them to slander it? Would a reviewer even do this if they could? Apple wouldn't let you have it so early next year in that case.

The purpose of these reviews is to build excitement and confirm positive thoughts. The same way Apple have advertised the phones through various talk shows; e.g., get Jimmy Kimmel (who I really like btw) to talk about it and gain more publicity.
Did you actually read the Verge review? If you think that was blessed by Apple then Apple should fire their PR department.

Just for easy reference:

helped if the photographer used the same spot to focus on.

Can read too much from that.

As an iPhone 6 person who got it at launch 2 yrs ago, I still love my 6. Had no intentions of upgrading because my phone still works great. Then when Verizon came out with their $650 trade in, it made this a must upgrade as essentially I'll be getting brand new phone and it will reduce my bill by $16 monthly (going from $40 on old subsidized plan to new payment plan which will be $20 for line and $4 monthly because I will get 128gb phone). If they didn't have this promotion I don't think most people would be upgrading at launch IMO

"But compared to the iPhone 6S, the iPhone 7 is a step improvement, not a major leap."
"The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus clearly hold their own, but I don’t think they blow the pack away."

And it comes from 'The Verge" :) Nothing but the hype (fake one) on the new cameras :)

Ah, but of course. Negative reviews must be honest and positive reviews must be paid for. Nuance and balance are for suckers. Life is, after all, so simple, cut and dried.

Seriously though, boys, keep towing that party line and regurgitating that vomit you've consumed elsewhere. Keeping fighting the good fight.

I wonder if the rumor was true that certain major delivery carriers were stock piling phone at certain hubs across the country to make delivery easier. Not sure if that possible or not.

James

Yes, it's possible. There are huge containers with thousands of them. This is a fact. It's happened for years now.

Just went to Youtube and sub box is filled with iPhone 7 and 7 Plus reviews, all at once.
Was there an embargo or something?
Yup. It's called a media embargo.

They clearly state what they don't like about the phone. Plus I wouldn't call sites like the Verge Apple's vetted source (not any more). Basically you're just after negative review to justify your prejudice. Let me save you some time: iPhone 7 sucks and you shouldn't waste your time or your money on it. Move along.

That's probably because mailing attachments is a dated work flow that is not a part of the future. Now consider iOS doesn't have a file system, it would mean Apple would have to invest heavily in supporting dated work flows for something that's never going to really work great.
They do not have to invest in anything, if i want to send multiple photos from photos i can, but in mail i have to select it one by one......so they just need to implement in mail what they have in photos....and no need for a file system

I'm curious does every Android OEM phone get judged on whether it's an "essential upgrade"? Did reviewers ask this question of the Galaxy S7 and Note 7? Or is it only iPhones where this question matters?

Oh look fake "fan" on Macrumours.

Why do people always say they're not "essential upgrades"? Do they think everyone upgrades yearly?

This is a fantastic upgrade for anyone NOT on a 6S.

I totally agree. Whilst I don't wait 3-4 versions between changes, I am looking forward to the 6S and 7 features combined. Makes it more interesting upgrade.

Apple always gets extra attention.

You'd be better off checking a few reviews because most people on here won't be that interested in those phones.

You joined MR in 2006. You should really know better than that.

The early iterations of iPhone OS were terribly buggy. Plus you mention "incomplete" software, yet the first iPhone didn't even have an App Store. Or video recording. Or even copy/paste, for crumb's sake.

What's incomplete, the depth view on the camera isn't incomplete, it was a sneak peak on what they are working on... what else is 'incomplete'?

The biggest sheeple I'm seeing in this thread are the Verge haters.

Over and over again "shills," "bought and paid for," "fake," or "typical."

Mysteriously missing? Facts. Support. Thoughtful critique.

The irony is heavier than an iPad 3.
