I guess the only reason for more storage would be 4k, or music library, since no one is going to gonna store all their music in the could if they don't use Apple music, and even if they do, they'll need to constantly uploading to keep that one album when Apple removes it from AM anyway due to license issue.

Kinda makes the phone even *more* personal

You do realize that 50 GB of iCloud is only $0.99/month, right?

That's why i favor this to buying in Australia. too expensive.

Of course, there will not be an option to disable 4K video recording on the 32GB model.

Your anti Apple jokes aren't funny or remotely accurate. They're just weird.

Not really.

In Europe, Russia and other places prices rose dramatically due to currency. Apple is not going to push prices up further.

But thats due to currency isn't it - Apple don't control world currency.

Never tried. I filled 128 GB, with some cuts I'm down to about 90 GBs. Lossless music take sup tons of room, as does 4K video, full res pictures, etc.

Presumably you're using a high quality DAC with your iPhone then so you can actually make use of the lossless music...

Sure they don't. But they can't price the iPhone completely out of market.

But they can decide that they shouldn't make a lower profit margin in Russia because the currency is poor. It's up to them to decide that they need the same percentage profit worldwide or they'd rather not make sales.

It would be equally unfair if you could get an iPhone for a lot cheaper in Russia than anywhere else.

As long as the price stays the same... great! For myself 64MB is too small over the life of the phone, but 128GB is the sweet spot.

If Apple raise BOTH base storage AND price, then it's time to say good bye to Apple hardware.
Time to end such insane profit margin.
We need to do more with less.
Why do you care about their profit margin? Are you a shareholder? Same thing goes with CPU. Do you drop Apple when the benchmarks are low for CPU or when you notice the device is slow?

So due to the value of a currency dropping the price rose accordingly. Apple really isn't pushing up the base price, just compensating for crappy currencies.

For those of us who travel a lot, Cloud storage is nice but not the best solution for our use case.
What would be a better solution for someone who travels. I personally think that cloud storage is the best solution to those who travel.

Even more important than raising base storage from 16gb to 32gb is a way to turn off those annoying "your icloud is almost full" messages. I finally caved and updated all the icloud accounts my family has just to make them go away. 5gb of base icloud storage is the real joke.

Russia has a much worse currency problem than UE, and it's a single country, not remotely as important as a market as the UE.
